A decent game in which we won without really trying! Hopefuly our Carlign Cup Boys will beat

Sorry for letting this blog rot away in the late August sun for so many weeks. Other work took
over and left some time but not much energy to spend on other things. But the team blogs have been
bursting with energy all the more at the same time and a few more came back to life, so I guess
there were still enough places on The Offside for Bundesliga related updates.
Johan Djourou is facing up to six months on the sidelines after undergoing a knee operation.
The Arsenal defender went under the knife in Geneva on Friday, with the Swiss football
federation confirming the procedure had been carried out on their official website.
The 22-year-old had been hoping to push for a regular starting berth with the Gunners this
season, following the summer sale of Kolo Toure to Manchester City.
Hello people hope you all are having good days without any Arsenal news because it has been very
boring for a few days on the Arsenal front, due to the international breaks no doubt. But before I
go into that there is some positive news regarding Walcott:
The official website has said he is due to back after this weeks international break versus
Croatia but in my opinion I doubt he will figure against Man City, seeming the importance of the
game and risking him would not be worth it.
The last twenty minutes against Man City at the Eastlands was a terrible repeat episode of what we
perhaps had too quickly thought was last season's weaknesses. Whilst I strongly applaud the
sensible comments that are doing the rounds on the decent blogs this Sunday, there is no escaping
the fact that shipping 4 goals against Man City is a shite result, albeit coming from a performance

Hello people, I am still feeling bad over our loss to Man City yesterday and this has left me
thinking about our current situation as a whole. I have already, a few weeks ago voiced my feelings
over Wenger and how he should of and needed buy, and how he didn't so today I am going to tell you
what will be of Arsenal next year, so read on:
The overall result of this season when it ends:
In the league we will finish fourth with either Man City or Liverpool being a close 5th.
Eduardo's two match ban has been overturned by Uefa! This has just been reported on the BBC
Sport website, more news is to follow....
The Croatian was suspended after being found guilty of simulation in the Champions League
qualifier against Celtic on 26 August.
But on Monday, Uefa accepted Arsenal's appeal and he will now be eligible to play in their Group
H games against Standard Liege and Olympiakos.
I feel disappointed and somewhat annoyed of how Arsene Wenger seems it liable to sell two main
players this transfer window and bring in one (Thomas Vermaelen) as a like for like replacement. If
Arsenal want to challenge for all trophies this season we needed a better squad, and without a
doubt needed another CB.

So I don't have any news to report I just wanted to share this link with you. It is from the
blog Manny Road, which is one of the best Bolton blogs out there, a little humor piece of suggested
songs for the Bolton Wanderers playlist. So go on and have a laugh at our crapness (it's the least
you can do).

Uhh, no.

I and my fellow Unfortunate, Lanterne Rouge, have spoken several times about our hope that new club
blogs will continue to pop up over the next few years. As the platforms become more foolproof and
broadband access continues to become de rigeuer, the rise of fan-generated content is inevitable,
and the failure of Rivals and a few of its pretenders can only give us fans more impetus to share

Apologies for the Google Translate inspired translations in the title. Any language mangling was
unintentional. I just wanted to get your attention. Longtime Offside readers will know that the
majority of our blogs are written in English. We are now planning to expand beyond that, and offer
blogs in other languages.
