In this age of Skysports, ESPN and other watch all the football you want channels, one might be
tempted to just sit on the armchair and enjoy football straight from home. But I have a small
suggestion... Just go to the football! Ever since I moved to Germany this summer, there was one
thing I looked [.
Juve Stabia are a club from Castellamare di Stabia, a town outside
of Napoli (also the birthplace of Fabio
Quagliarella). Juve Stabia, or the Vespe (bees) as they are nicknamed, have always been a club
that bounced around the lower divisions, never reaching the paradises of Serie B and Serie A.
Of all the personalities in world football, Jose Mourinho is probably the only person I look
forward to hearing speak. He's often arrogant, comical, insulting and did I say arrogant? The
"Special One" doesn't hold back when it comes to expressing what he thinks often landing him in
hot waters. Just like vintage Jose, he [.
Scoring is an art form (one which is lost on my team unfortunately..) and when one does score, one
tends to feel inclined to celebrate in the most over exuberant way possible. Some are funny; others
have a slight ‘cringe' factor to them. I thought I would share with you some of my
favourites; those [.
Not much to say really. Just take a peek at this video of New Mexico's Elizabeth Lambert as she go
mental on the opposition... Enjoy! Posted in Blogroll, Controversies, Footballers Gone Wild,

Cristiano Ronaldo. He evokes much debate. Genius? Cheat? Best player in the world? Arrogant?
Whatever your opinion, there's no doubting he is up there with the best of them right now. However,
not all parts of his game deserve plaudits. In Saturday's game against Blackburn, we saw the
varying sides to the Portuguese winger.

The German Bundesliga has finally moved away from its strict traditional Saturday afternoon kickoff
time. Powers that be at the DFB headquarters in Frankfurt will give every Bundesliga fan the chance
to see live league games in full more than its usual twice per week schedule. Beginning this
season, German top flight football will be shown [.

So, with the Crew in England now, but nothing to report from the trip yet, unless you are
interested in Duncan Oughton's thoughts on airline peanuts, I thought I would share some of the
various readings on these here interwebz that I have been reading that are Crew related. Maybe this

I am a very sad NCFC supporter tonight. Actually, sad doesn't describe half of what I'm feeling.
Angry, frustrated, irritated, upset....that probably sums it up. I've just had to endure a 90
minute performance by my team which was spineless, inept and lacklustre. Throw in uninspiring,
dreary and I think you'll get the picture.
It's been awhile since I posted, so I thought it appropriate to examine the Quakes landscape
through a little tour of the blogs and news out there. The Quakes are up against the Stormin'
Mormons tonight (RSL), and need to start picking up some results on the road if we're going to get
anything out of this season.
Just how dedicated are you to supporting a football club, or simply a sport you truly love? Would
you wake up at 5:30am and drive another hour to see a match? Would you skip a university exam or
sneak out of work at 1:00pm just to catch your club take on Levski Sofia in the [...]
Adebayor has once again broken his silence about his true feelings for Arsenal, the fans and former
team mates. Much has been thrown his way since interests from other clubs began surfacing after the
07/08 season when he scored a remarkable 30 goals for the Arsenal. But, does he really deserve the
stick he's gotten [.
"Alright mate, we'll be fine today yeah? No repeats of last week right?" asked a friend of mine on
the way to the football on Sunday morning. "What are you talkin' about? We never have trouble at
our football ground" I replied. "Oh, I suppose you didn't hear about what happened to the other
Leipzig [.
Wigan boss Steve Bruce has worked wonders with his Latics squad this season and one of his unsung
heroes has undoubtedly been Paul Scharner. The eccentric Austrian has been a rock at the back for
Bruce and the 28-year-old has been a major factor in guiding the Lancashire side into seventh place
in the top flight.
Around 4pm today Chelsea revealed on their website that manager Luiz Felipe Scolari has been sacked
so "to maintain a challenge for the trophies we are still competing for." Scolari made a
positive impact when joining in June 2008, but under a year later results have deteriorated and
Chelsea have pinned him as the problem.

PRESTON NORTH END V NORWICH CITY 14th February 2008 K.O 15:00 DEEPDALE As I sat down this afternoon
to listen to events unfold at Deepdale, I pondered what lay ahead in the first 45 minutes, knowing
that the chances were they would go one of two ways..... 1. We would start slowly, failing to
fashion any shots on [.

NORWICH CITY V BURNLEY 21st February 2008 K.O 15:00 CARROW ROAD I woke nervously today. Most
of you will not know, (or be interested), that as a supporter of Norwich City, I'm now coming to
terms with the fact my team have a very good chance of being relegated to League 1 at the end of
this [...]

Jose Mourinho - he's a journalists dream isn't he? Just today he has come out and said, "My

Mourinho's side have a 9 point cushion over their nearest rivals, Juventus. Now they face their
toughest test of [...]

I felt it was time to change the theme of WFW. The main reason for this is that the old theme
wasn't suited for Firefox and the right sidebar was always below the blog entries. What's the point
of having a blogroll if nobody sees it, right?
So I've abandoned the black and red color scheme that had been in place since the blog was first
launched in December 2005 in favor of blue.
A great piece by Precious Roy on Unprofessional Foul on the possible influx of £80M and Manchester
United's debt. So Crissy is off to Spain and United are £80M the better for it. That gives United
a nice little kitty to swing with in the transfer market. Who will they target? Tevez? Ribery?
Villa?

Now that the Germans have qualified for next year's FIFA World Cup, here are a few names not known
outside of the country you should watch out for. Chances are, your club will sign them up leading
to the 2010/11 club season... Heiko Westermann, CB, Shalke 04 Solid for both club and country,
Heiko Westermann [.
As always, Mr. Unprecedented Access, Steve Goff, has a sit down with Kevin Payne and Tom Soehn
over on his blog. Some big quotes...
"We don't want to play like Colorado or New England, which most of the season sat with eight or
nine guys behind the ball. How many people go to watch Colorado or New England play?
