GEYLANG UNITED 13-1 REVOLUTION FC (MALAYSIA) on 9th Jan 2011
Geylang Utd beat Revolution FC from Malaysia 13-1 in friendly fixture at the Bedok Stadium.
By the first half of the game, the Eagles were already 7-0 up against the amateur outfit from the
other side of the Causeway.
With a comfortable margin, Geylang altered much of their original first XI in the second half to
wrap the game with six more goals with two from a trialist known as "Mikey" (Mihailo Dutina -
pictured above "floating in the air") with the visitors pulled one consolation along the process.

Yesterday was an absolute crazy day. The SuperDraft came and went in a hurry too. I wanted to
first of all thank those who joined me here for the live blog. I'm sorry I was only able to keep it
going for the first two rounds and really the second round was a bit light on my part.
Ever since I started calculating shot to goal ratios as well as conversion and accuracy ratios of
teams' offensive (and defensive) production, I've been concerned that these ratios do not tell the
full story of what happens on the field.
Conversion, you may remember, is the ratio of goals
to shots on target - that is, how many of the high quality chances teams generated actually
resulted in goals: how good teams are at finishing.
You may not know that I am currently enjoying some time in the North of Spain. Finding an Internet
connection at this time is a small miracle, but with SPANISH CUP results in & SFS Blog readers in
mind, here is a quick summary of tonights results. Please excuse me if the post is not as detailed
as it is normally.
It is unclear at this time but rumors are circulating in the greater-Blackpool metropolitan area
that rather than using his time-tested methods for inspiring his team at halftime (see dryer, hair
and yelling...lots) Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson used yesterday's blog post on this
very site to inspire his charges.
Welcome to NUFC 'Blog's Wigan Athletic v Newcastle United match banter. Apologies in advance if it
isn't up to the usual standards, however I am in the latter stages of a fairly horrible 'flu.
However, for a more in depth preview of the game, please check out Toonsy's excellent match
preview. He will be at [.
It's draft day in Major League Soccer, and once again, ESPN2 will offer coverage of the first
round in Baltimore. As in past years, the draft is in the middle of the day, requring working
fans to DVR the draft, watch online or follow one of the many blogs that will offer coverage. On
Thursday we will offer a business blog of the draft and draft coverage.
Short video today for everyone by way of SnappedUp. Think it get's the point across nicely
though.

This will be a very abbreviated version of our weekend preview. Apologies in advance but there has
just been a ton going on here at NCNB headquarters 'off the pitch' (outside of the blog) but we are

Welcome to the former home of The Aztexan, a former fan blog of the former Austin Aztex pro
soccer team. Soccer supporters in central Texas had three good years backing our lads in red &
white before they gave up on us and skedaddled off to Orlando late one October night. (If you're
interested in the history of that departure, you can read the previous five posts below.

FC Tampa Bay Rowdies are looking like contenders. For the 1993 APSL title, that is.
FCTB announced today that Ricky Hill will succeed Paul

Corner kicks are kind of like free kicks in the opponent's half: both are set pieces. They're also
among the few moments in a match when teams have a real and predictable chance to create
significant chances. So they're among the few guaranteed opportunities to score. And while I've
been thinking about them for some time, I have not reported any systematic analyses of corners.
As anyone who reads the WNT Blog knows, the U.S. WNT players are very conscientious about taking
care of their bodies, getting enough rest and recovery, eating right, and yes, sometimes even doing
a little Yoga. Here Heather O'Reilly and Stephanie Cox work on their core strength and flexibility
as they are led through a session by one of the team's massage therapists, Pam Durant, a certified
yoga instructor.

When I was asked to write a blog on my favourite goal, this sprung to mind quicker than a cheetah
in a rush. It's not an obvious choice for a Spurs fan, being that Bergkamp is a massive figure in
Arsenal's history (from back when they could remember how to win a trophy couldn't resist having
one dig), but I've never been one for the obvious.

This past weekend was our Shreveport, Louisiana January 2011 Jared Montz Pro Soccer Camp. We
had a great turn out at camp and despite dealing with cold wet conditions we had a great few days
of camp! We were outdoors, we were indoors but most importantly we were good pros.
We must say, well played by the WNT Blog in the latest (well actually first) edition of Name that
Bun! Only one person correctly guessed that the bun in question in fact belongs to our very own
Kelley O'Hara. Kudos to artee22 for being the only one to correctly identify the owner. As you may
recall, young Ms.
Was at the pre-match press conference ahead of tomorrow's friendly match between Singapore's
Olympic squad and their Malaysian counterparts.
Making their presence were Singapore coach Raddy Avramovic and his Malaysian counterpart Ong Kim

OK, so Hibs and Hearts have met close to the New Year recently. But this was the last of the New
Year's Day fixtures.
A 2-2 all draw on the first day of 1998 that saved Jim Duffy's job long enough for him to complete
his mission to relegate Hibs.
The neutral would probably take a four goal thriller today.
Well we closed out 2010 on a high. This has been our best year as a blog and our fantasy premier
league is also doing fantastic with new members still signing up each week. All of the matches
for December finished in midweek and Manchester United are still on top of the league with their
City rivals right behind them.
Robben back in training
It was a bit quiet here, for Robben. This blog likes to concern itself with "what is" and not so
much with players who can't play. We respectfully leave Robben alone, when he's injured. As we did
with Robin and others too. Speculation about their return doesn't [read more]

Was having my weekly gander at the East Lothian Courier to see which of my erstwhile school mates
were making an appearance in the courts pages when I came across another argument for summer
football:
Davie McGlynn, manager of Superleague outfit Musselburgh Athletic, said a combination of
dreadful winter weather, the economic downturn and cutbacks across Scottish football had created a
"terrible situation" for clubs.
Players and coaches have been arriving all day as the 2011 edition of the annual January camp is
set to begin in earnest tomorrow. By night's end, 22 of the 24 players on the roster will have
unpacked their bags here in Los Angeles. The final two are Alejandro Bedoya, who will remain in
pre-season training with Orebro until his report date of Jan.

Last week, December 27-31, 2011 was our Mandeville, Louisiana Jared Montz Pro Soccer Camp.
Despite the frozen fields, frost, rain, thunderstorms and warmer weather we had a great week of
camp. All the players were great pros and no one complained once about the weather.

For the lazy, BigSoccer users can now join the Fake Sigi social group for article updates and

For a while now I've been thinking about the best way to promote this web site on BigSoccer.
Considering the large number of people on that site who are potentially interested in the things I
have to say, a Fake Sigi presence has always seemed to me like a "Good Thing.
Hello, good evening, and welcome to NUFC 'Blog's 'match banter' for this evening's game against
West Ham at St James's Park. In our away fixture earlier in the season we beat The Hammers 2-1,
however they certinly seem to be a much improved side of late, managing two wins and a draw in
their last [.
My last blog caused some reaction from within the Gold Coast United community and some from
elsewhere on Twitter. I have been accused of being "overly defensive", "having complexes about
other codes", "a child with a three word vocabulary" and "providing no evidence".
A cruel accident of birth dictates that I celebrate my birthday just as the big beasts of Scottish
football enter the Scottish Cup.
Thus each year my birthday marks the start of another failed leg of Hibernian's apparently never
ending Scottish Cup odyssey. If the jinx hadn't begun more than 70 years before I was born I'd
consider myself a bit of a Jonah.

Very unlucky game for Arsenal. We deserved to win but it appears the luck was with Joe Hart and
his posts, check out the more eventful highlights than you would think below:

For those of you who'll be in South Florida this weekend, I'd like to invite you to an
important meeting with Major League Soccer Commissioner Don Garber.

It just got everyone talking after the disband of the national football team by the President of
the FAS (pictured below).
Frankly, it's something not surprise me at all when such circumstance takes place that got everyone
jumps onto the ship to give their opinions.
Nothing new and fresh suggestions as most experts like us would finger point at all those perceived
"guilty lots" (you all know who they are).
For those of you who haven't joined the Twitter revolution, turn away now and grumble about the
