In Premiership Talk's daily roundup of transfer rumors, the Darren Bent to Sunderland rumor was
brushed off a little too easily. It is now understood that Roy Keane is prepared to make Darren
Bent the highest paid player in Sunderland history.
With Kenwyne Jones set to miss the start of the season, the Black Cats are eager to add a striker
to their ranks, and Darren Bent would be a perfect fit for the northern club.
There are just ten days left before the transfer window slams shut for four months, and the Black
Cats are in the hunt for another haul of players. Not content with the likes of Diouf, Tainio,

Sunderland
Another case of Umbro tidying up the over-proliferation of diamonds here as they give the Black
Cats a much cleaner-looking and rather swish home shirt.
After a summer of spending, it's perfectly natural that the Black Cats would have to release the
odd player or two. While Roy Keane has bemoaned the fact that a lot of his squad members would
prefer to sit on the bench / play for the reserves than get first-team ...
Great looking, isn't it? Available for pre-order now at the club's official site. And SAFC is running a competition where customers preordering the new away kit can win a chance to train with the Black Cats in the Stadium of Light. Myself, I am not moved by this prospect, .
Backed by the loudest supporters in the Premier League last season, measured at average peak volume
at 129.2 decibels, almost as loud as a jet, Sunderland will look to improve on last season's
respectable 15th-place finish. The Black Cats were the only newly-promoted team to survive in the
Premiership, an accomplishment in itself, but [.
Roy Keane looks set to make his first signing of the summer. Stephen Hunt, an Ireland
international, looks like he'll be on his way to the Black Cats this summer after having a move
blocked in January. With Reading relegated, Hunt will be ecstatic to jump straight back into the
Premier League. We'll see if this move becomes official within the next few weeks.
Roy Keane has reportedly had a £4m offer for Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher

Come to Wearside, my pretties These days Roy Keane and Sunderland seem to be

Either that or they have drafted in Barry Fry to work behind the scenes because the Black Cats seem
to be assembling a HUGE squad.
One Spurs player may well have played his last game for the club, but only if Ramos gets the right
amount of cash for the faltering star. Roy Keane will this week try to convince Darren Bent that he
can re-ignite his England prospects at Sunderland. The Black Cats boss is desperate to land the
Spurs striker [.

Pascal Chimbonda, Steed Malbranque, Younes Kaboul and Teemu Tainio will all have talks with the
Sunderland as Spurs boss Juande Ramos attempts to unload as many as eleven players from a side that
ended up firmly in the middle of the table, while the Black Cats skirted above the relegation line
with just 39 points.
Sunderland have had a whopping £23 million joint bid for four Spurs players accepted by the
north Londoners. Reports from yesterday suggested that the Black Cats are keen to take Steed
Malbranque, Pascal Chimbonda, Teemu Tainio and Younes Kaboul to the Stadium of Light. Although

Sunderland Football: Keano's proving a slippery Black Cat as Tottenham are stunned
So Sunderland football and the FA Premier League do mix! Roy Keano is beginning to show signs of
not only being a fierce man motivator, but a real canny mover in the transfer market as well.
His Sunderland football side has been beefed up with proven Premiership players this year, and boy
does it show, and with Anton Ferdinand another likely arrival you really can't see Sunderland and
Keano boys struggling in the Premiership this year.
With one month of Premiership action out of the way, Premiership Talk reviews all twenty teams and
grades them based on their early season performances. Sunderland The Black Cats have quietly put
together a good side up north, and fans plan on avoiding the relegation battle that they saw last
season.

Sunderland tonight.
With the Carling Cup third round tie against Crewe Alexandra beckoning at Anfield next Tuesday
night, Ablett is hoping the likes of Stephen Darby and Jay Spearing can impress manager Rafael
Benitez and give him a selection poser.
Roy Keane, a born winner We all know that Keano was a winner as a player, although his full name of
Roy Maurice Keane suggest otherwise. The Black Cats have been the classic yo-yo club over the past
few seasons, but after keeping them up with points to spare, we ask, is Roy Keane the real deal?
It seems like Roy Keane never rests and is always looking for players to bring to Sunderland. Looks
like he is ready to have his work payoff as Dorin Goian is ready to sign with the Black Cats. The
Steaua...
It goes without saying that everyone at some time or
another has wanted to inflict some serious pain on their boss. Even if my boss was, say, that girl
on the internet that can swallow a cucumber whole, I reckon ultimately I would still get pretty
annoyed with it all and just want to be left alone.
In what must be a frustrating summer for Sunderland boss Roy Keane, the Black Cats are now turning
their attention towards an ambitious move for Manchester United striker Louis Saha. Having already
failed to attract Darren Bent and Andy Johnson to the Stadium of Light, Keane is putting together a

bids in for last week. You know, the deal I said would never happen!

A week or so back we posted a few comments from Sunderland keeper Craig Gordon describing how the
Black Cats players enjoy the chance to kick Roy Keane when he gets involved in 5-a-side. They
might've thought Keano was a hard coach, but even the great leg-breaker has nothing on this
fearsome chap. He is in fact our number one football bastard, a man who was quite literally a
lawless, inhumane tyrant.

Two years ago, Sunderland were the laughing stock of the English Premier League. The Black Cats
finished the 2005/06 season with an embarrassing 15 points - a record only topped by Derby this
past season. A new era began at the club in 2006, though, as legendary midfielder Roy Keane was
appointed manager of the club.
I previously wrote about how much I hated the Olympics and what they do to football, but after
signing Keane, I'm suddenly not as worried. Keane can easily slip into a wing position and we can
cover Mascherano's position with the current roster. If Barry were to sign on soon, it would be
even easier.

should they secure the signing of Aston Villa captain Gareth Barry.

Fernando Torres fired Liverpool to a scarcely deserved victory over Sunderland in their Premier
League opener at the Stadium of Light.

for much of the evening as his partnership with £20m new boy Robbie Keane continued to
stutter, but he produced a vicious drive eight minutes from time to claim the points.
Veteran Liverpool centre back Sami Hyypia has praised his teammate Fernando Torres for his winning
strike in their opening Premier League match against Sunderland on Saturday.
Liverpool were finding it hard to break down the plucky Black Cats at the Stadium of Light, until

Goodness me, aren't Sunderland being busy bees in the transfer market this summer? While the likes
of Everton and Newcastle struggle to rub two pennies together, the Black Cats laugh in the face of
the credit crunch by showing off a suitcase bulging with notes and thrusting it into the ...
