It barely makes up for the chaotic week gone by where Manchester United were knocked out of the
Champions League, where Nemanja Vidic was ruled out for the season and where the author of this
post dropped the last piece of his birthday cake (Belgian chocolate, thanks for asking) on the
kitchen floor but the 4-1 win over Wolves goes some way in reassuring fans even those who have had
to experience an endless line of shoddy birthdays (naming no names) that things aren't totally
bad.

Chicago is one of my favorite cities. Anyone who has been there can tell you about its intimate
downtown neighborhoods and gorgeous vistas. During last year's D.C. United visit to the Windy City,
I received a quality prank from the players. Jump ahead to 2011, and history
repeated itself at the very same restaurant.
Bem-vindo a Selecao Bootcamp! It was Birthdays galore over the weekend as both
Julio Cesar and Alexandre Pato celebrated their big days with
their Brazilian teammates. Cesar was pelted with water and made to roll his face
over the grass while Pato got a strawberry cake courtesy of the squad's chef!
One of our favourite USMNT hotties turns a year older today, and we kindly request all Kickettes
to put your thinking caps on try to help us hastily rearrange our originally planned birthday
celebrations for Bolton Wanderers 'baller of the year.
Although Holden's been out of action due to injury since March, as he informs us on Twitter,
he's just resumed training on grass today.

- One Month from Today: The 2011/12 -Premiership Fixtures Released!
Over the weekend this little site turned 4 years old.
I nearly forgot about it and last year I totally skipped over it. What can I say I'm getting
older and birthdays are hard to remember for my family members much less a blog on the
internet.
Anyways, I wanted to thank all of you who've helped push me this far.
Is it time
already for us to issue a fail files on ourselves? Can't be - we were just
boasting about our ability to keep pace for more than the odd day or so!
Their youth may be fading faster than our Valentine's Day candy dish, but Dimitar Berbatov,
Peter Crouch and Jamie Carragher are still entitled to feel special on their big days the days
proceeding their actual birthdays.
During the January camp, ussoccer.com - with the help of all the fans on twitter - has been
asking questions of the newest fraternity of eight players making their first appearance in a full
national team camp. Today's contestant is Zach Loyd from FC Dallas. The native of Verdigis, Okla.,
is coming off a solid rookie season highlighted by his team's appearance in the 2010 MLS cup final
and his first opportunity with the red, white and blue .
Unfortunately, it is another middle of the night for me-completely wide awake. The time now is
3:28am and my children will be waking in exactly 3 hours. Let me warn you before reading this entry
that I am not in the best of moods, cranky is an understatement, and men who don't want to know
some of the details that go along with a woman's body/pregnancy, stop reading now.
