According to Colin Tattum at the Birmingham Mail, Birmingham and Sebastian Larsson are having a hard time agreeing on a new deal. Manager Alex McLeish said,

"The last contact was a couple of months ago ... ‘I know that Julia Shelton [Blues' head of football administration] has been liaising with Seb's agent.
