is currently happy at the club despite interest from Arsenal and
Tottenham. Foster said,

According to the Express and Star, Barcelona midfielder Aleksandr
Hleb, who is on loan at Birmingham, will not be staying with Birmingham
after this season. Hleb said,
"I give 100 per cent for this club every weekend, but no, I won't be staying at the end of the

According to Francisco Acedo at Sky Sports News, Racing Santander are no long
interested in signing Birmingham striker Nikola Zigic as a
replacement for injured Oscar Serrano. Club president Francisco

According to Rubin Kazan's official website, Birmingham have agreed to sign
Rubin Kazan striker Obafemi Martins on loan for the rest of the
season. Martins last played in the Premier League when he was with Newcastle from 2006-2009.
According to Pete O'Rourke at Sky Sports News, Birmingham made a bid for
Newcastle striker Shola Ameobi that was rejected. It is reported
that Newcastle do not have any intentions on selling the 29-year-old.

Ian Holloway confirmed that he turned down bids from Aston Villa
and Birmingham for Charlie Adam. Holloway said,

According to John Curtis at The Independent, Birmingham have agreed to sign
Tottenham winger David Bentley on loan for the rest of the
season. Bentley, who was linked with Newcastle, will undergo a medical this weekend.
It is also reported that Birmingham have agreed on a transfer fee for Rangers
striker Kenny Miller.

have given Newcastle permission to hold talks with Sebastian

UPDATE: According to Birmingham's official website, Birmingham
have backed out of the deal to sign Tottenham striker Robbie
Keane due to his wage demands. Chairman Peter Pannu said,
"I met with Alex and Paul today to discuss some new targets - names that we will not be
mentioning at this moment in time - as we have decided that the signing of Keane would not be in
the best financial interests of the club.
According to the Express & Star, Birmingham striker Marcus
Bent would like to extend his current loan deal with Wolverhampton. The
32-year-old striker said,
"I couldn't tell you what's going to happen apart from that my loan finishes after tomorrow's
game .
According to ESPN Soccernet, Birmingham are looking to bring in a few players
this month but they will not break the bank for them. Manager Alex McLeish
