According to reports, Bentley is seeking a loan move to MLS. The 27-year-old midfielder spent
the last half of last season on loan with Birmingham City and the first portion of this season on

I'm not going to lie to you. As much as I'd like to sit here and tell you about all of the great
action that is taking place this weekend, I'm having a hard time coming up with enough to fill up
this entry. There are a pair of great matches on Sunday, that are taking place at the same time,
unfortunately, but other than that, the pickings are pretty slim.
We have five matches on the cards in the 5th Round of the FA Cup today, the tournament that was

Real Madrid's coach, Jose Mourinho is in a positive mood after his team once again picked up all
three points in the league, keeping their lead over Barcelona in tact and also not throwing away
much energies as their win happened in a convincing fashion. Mourinho revealed that's the victory
over Racing Santander was obviously important but getting it without much trouble is even more
appreciated by the tactician considering Madrid are facing tight schedules ahead of them.
The League Cup may not hold the appeal it once did, marginalised in England as the once proud
UEFA Cup has been in continental play (though when it comes to re-branding, England's second cup
competition got there first—it's been changing its name for thirty years now). From the first
competition in 1960 through its first six years, the final was a two-legged home-and-home
affair.

By Laban Scott LibbyIn a world of unrelenting pressure for results, the January transfer window offers the tempting
opportunity for the quick fix. For clubs contending for the championship or Europe, it encourages
the hunt for that one piece of the puzzle that will make the club complete; and for clubs fighting
relegation, that one special player may seem like the difference between another year among the
world's top or a long year of away games at Barnsley and Peterborough.

Big, big match for us. Let's hope we can get back on track and arrest what could be a worrying
downturn in our season.

Recent Form: Very, very good. If the League started on the day O'Neill became manager,
they would be top. We did beat them in the same stadium a weak ago, doe.

Chelsea 1-1 Birmingham City FA Cup 18th February 2012
If Andre Villas-Boas was hoping that his stuttering Chelsea side would find a bit of comfort in
the FA Cup on Saturday, he was given a rather rude awakening by an impressive, hard-working
Birmingham side.
Chelsea's failure in beating Birmingham City provides more pressure for Andre Villas-Boas side
ahead of their Champions League clash against Italian side, Napoli, in the midweek as the
Portuguese coach admitted that his side's confidence is rather low at the moment.
Villas-Boas hopes that his players can overcome that mental problem as they will be facing much
more difficult task in Southern Italy rather than their recent FA Cup tie against Birmingham that
ended 1-1.
One of the West Ham co-Chairmen David Sullivan, is revealing the real deal on Demba Ba. Demba Ba
agent got £2M from Newcastle The former Birmingham City co-owner is being interviewed at West

There's history here, you know. When Liverpool were the kings of English and European football,
Brighton & Hove Albion had a curious habit of being able to dump them out of the FA Cup. They did
it at Anfield on the way to Wembley in 1983, and then again at The Goldstone Ground the following
year. Times have changed since then, of course.
Tim Ream made his debut for Bolton as they beat Millwall in FA Cup action, while Jonathan Spector
and Birmingham City tied Chelsea in cup action as well.
Arsenal's last hope of silverware disappeared without a trace after an abject FA Cup defeat on
Wearside.
The Gunners were aiming to get their season back on track following a dismal showing in Europe but
found a rejuvenated Sunderland in their way. Sunderland scored in either half to dump Arsenal out
of the cup and heap further pressure on Arsene Wenger after seven trophyless years.
Jonathan Spector and Birmingham City beat Barnsley in Championship play this midweek, while Frank
Simek and Carlisle United went down hard to Brentford in League One.
Sometimes you can see it coming a mile off. There was something heavy hanging in the air well
before Chelsea's match against Napoli on Tuesday night. A lethargic draw against Birmingham City in
the FA Cup at the weekend had been the most obvious symptom of the malaise that has come to engulf
Stamford Bridge of late, and even taking the lead in Naples wasn't enough to spare Andres Villa
Boas from another disastrous day at the office.
Last season's Carling Cup final was seen as a formality for Arsenal, who were pitted against a
spirited yet pedestrian Birmingham City outfit. However, the men from the Midlands came away with a
2-1 win and, most importantly, the trophy, despite the Gunners' relentless pressure.
The news that goalkeeper Tom Heaton, defender Mark Hudson and midfielder Stephen McPhail are
winning their respective battles against injury suggests that Cardiff may be significantly
strengthened come Sunday.

Carling Cup success more than just a trophy for Liverpool - originally posted on

When Arsenal were preparing to take on Birmingham City in last season's Carling Cup final it was
heralded as the inevitable end of their almost six year trophy drought. In fact it was one of four
trophies the Gunners were in with a realistic shout of winning.
Another U.S.-eligible left back is testing the waters for another country.
Blackburn defender Adam Henley, 17, will represent Wales in its Under-21 European championship
qualifier against Andorra on Wednesday, marking the second youth international with U.S.
eligibility to accept a call-up for another country in the last few weeks.
While the players take a break from club duty for the midweek international friendlies, there's a
lot going on with the U.S. players in Europe. Here's a quick rundown:
- Jozy Altidore and Steve Cherundolo are still alive in the Europa League, each reaching the
Round of 32 that begins March 8, with AZ taking on Udinese and Hannover traveling to Standard
Liege.
