There's no new Kaka news to report on, and there shouldn't be for another
couple of days, but that doesn't mean that there's nothing else going on in the world of
transfers.
Who's in the transfer news headlines today? As always, the lion's share of the tidbits are from
England, but we've also got news and rumors to report on from Spain, Italy, Germany, and
Greece.
We're into a new week, and this is a week that could get off to a big bang in the transfers
world. AC Milan star Kaka could very well make the switch to Real Madrid in the
coming days, and a few other top European clubs could nail down a few new squad additions sometime
this week as well.
The transfer news and rumors aren't as plentiful tonight as they were in the morning, but
sometimes, it's about quality, not quantity, and in tonight's roundup, we've got a couple of
big-money (well, small, if you're Real Madrid) signings to report and add to our summer transfer
lists.
The headline takes away the element of surprise, of course, but those moves aren't the only bits
in the news.
Saturday may have been a holiday for me in the U.S., but no matter what day it is, I've got an
attentive eye on the latest in transfer news and rumors.
Ahmed already covered the latest news on the Felipe Melo to Arsenal front, and
in this morning's roundup, I have several more tidbits from Saturday and early today to tide you
over until next time, including another potential swap deal involving Arsenal and a top Serie A
club.
Pictures have been leaked of the new away kit for newly promoted Birmingham City.
Designed and manufactured by Umbro, and sponsored by F&C Investments, the new Birmingham City
away kit will be released this summer for the 2009-10 season.
Just like many Premier League clubs next season, Birmingham City has decided to choose a black
away kit.
The biggest news in the football world is still the impending sale of Manchester United
superstar Cristiano Ronaldo to Real Madrid for a world-record £80m.
However, in this morning's transfer roundup, you won't find any Ronaldo-related news, though
there is a mention of someone that Manchester United could go after with the money they're set to
soon receive from Real.
Just as quickly as the week started, Wednesday's already here, and there's plenty of transfer news
and rumors to report on, including the latest on Andrei Arshavin's potential move to Arsenal.
England It seems to be only a matter of time before the Arsh joins the Arse. Zenit St. Petersburg
are confident about the [.
You knew it was only a matter of time before it would happen, even with the world's current
economical state. Real Madrid have broken the world transfer record that they already held by
landing Kaka from AC Milan for £59m.
That signing looks to be only the start of Real's monster summer spending spree, and if they can
land one of their prime targets (you should already know who I'm talking about without me having to
mention him by name), we could see the above record broken once again before the end of the
summer.
It's a new week, and we've got a fresh batch of transfer news and rumors from around Europe.
We've got tidbits from England, Italy, and Germany in today's roundup, with names big, medium, and
small all being linked with moves from here to there.

Arsenal midfielder Andriy Arshavin says he expects a large number of Premier League
stars to abandon England in the near future, as the tax band is almost twice as big as in
Spain.
In a tribute to the Clint Eastwood movie, "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly," EPL Talk has
categorized the new shirts for the 2009-2010 season into three categories. It wasn't easy. Many of
the ones that we would have placed in a mediocre category, if it was available, had to go into "The
Good" or "The Bad.
A new day, a fresh batch of transfer gossip to deliver your way. It's nice to be able to have

everywhere, things are going to pick up even more soon, so that means you should be watching this

We're already in the middle of June, and though the signings haven't been coming hard and fast
just yet, that doesn't mean that there's a shortage of action thus far in the summer transfer
window.

The wait is over. EPL Talk can now reveal many of the 2009-2010 Premier League matches that will
be shown on U.S. TV between August and the end of November.
In the United Kingdom, the Premier League has announced which matches will be shown by Sky
Sports and ESPN UK. As a result, we can ascertain which matches will be shown by Setanta US and Fox
Soccer Channel in the United States, both of which have the rights to show the Premier League
matches in the U.
It has been announced that Sheikh Ahmed bin Saqr Al Qasimi chairman of the Ras al Khaimah
Department of Customs and Seaports, has purchased 60 per cent of an English Premier League football
team. Whilst the speculation points to <?xml:namespace prefix = st1> Portsmouth being the
club in question, Mr Sulaiman Al Fahim was at pains to deny that his deal was being supplemented by
Sheikh Al Qasimi.
The week has come and gone, and while we haven't seen a great number of deals in the Premier League
as of yet, that should be changing in the coming days, as you'll see in today's roundup. England
With things currently at a stalemate between Blackburn and Manchester City over Roque Santa Cruz,
City are [.
It looked like it was going to be easy breezy for Emmanuel Adebayor's move from
Arsenal to Manchester City, but alas, a smooth, quick resolution does not appear to be in the
offing, for one reason or another.
It might take a little longer than expected to add him to our summer transfer lists, but it does
look like another transfer gossip favorite will be on the move soon, with Stewart
Downing finally set to end his time at Middlesbrough in favor of a quick return to the
Premier League and a taste of Europe.
Who's being linked with moves in today's transfer gossip pages? In today's transfer news and
rumors roundup, we've got a little something from several top European leagues to get you over the
Wednesday hump.

It's been a busy week in the transfers world, and just because it's the weekend doesn't mean
that there's going to be a break of any sort.
Today's transfer news and rumors roundup includes news of a couple of confirmed signings and a
few more that are set to be completed in the next few days, and of course, a transfer roundup can't
be complete without an outlandish rumor or two!
Just seen this story on some website. It has Birmingham City supposedly interested in Persija
striker Bambang Pamungkas.
How true it is remains to be seen. The article is lacking in things like quotes...lots of use of
the passive voice...
Indonesian international footballer, Bambang Pamungkas, is reportedly a target for Birmingham
City, newly promoted to the Premiership.
William Gallas joined us as part of the Ashley Cole transfer. Nobody knows whether Gallas
really want to join Arsenal or if he wanted to move abroad. Gallas seemed a reluctant Gooner in
his first season, always complaining about the team's attitude, their lack of desire to win. It was
a surprise then that Arsene appointed Gallas as captain on Henry's departure.
After numerous european clubs wanting his 6-4 sized services. Monaco and Fenerbahce are reportedly
battling it out for the American center back.
This Goal.com report explains who might be about to swoop for the out of contract defender.
Premier League target Oguchi Onyewu is believed to be on the verge of joining Turkish club
Fenerbahce after talks with all interested English parties broke down.

Did you know that a player's teeth could cause a transfer to collapse? I didn't, but apparently
that's the case with potential AC Milan signing Aly Cissokho, who could be set to
remain with Porto after a problem with his teeth came up in his medical.
If that happens, that'll be one name to subtract from our confirmed summer transfers lists, but
if things go according to today's transfer news and rumors, we could have several names to add over
the next few days.
The new Man City 2009-10 Premiership home kit has officially been released, and it looks quite

Manchester, the shirt is light blue [.

August 30.
Today's transfer roundup isn't light on the latest news and rumors about who definitely will be
headed to new clubs and who could be in the near (or distant) future. England Manchester City have

Raul Not on Manchester City's Radar
Manchester City are likely going to be gunning for a big-name striker in the summer, but
according to Mark Hughes, it won't be Real Madrid legend Raul, who has been linked
with the club.

Every time the transfer window opens, the rumors and guessing games involving Gooch's future reach
new levels of the ridiculous. With longtime interest from France and England, it now seems odd that
the one club making the most public pronouncements is Birmingham City (while Turkish side
Fenerbahce is also in the mix).
If there is one team that is secretly thriving in a summer of high-profile transfers, it is
Birmingham City. As mentioned by my fellow Premiership Talk writer, Brian Lofrumento, the newly
promoted outfit is reportedly pursuing former Arsenal captain Patrick Viera, which is in addition
to a handful of other acquisitions made recently.
According to EPL Talk.com, ESPN has acquired the TV rights to two of the weekly Premier League
slots on US television for the 2009-2010 season. With FSC now having Champions League soccer and
ESPN Prem games, it seems that soccer on TV in the US has been turned on it's head. Beginning on
August 15, 2009, each week ESPN will feature the 6:45am CT Saturday game and the 2pm CT Monday
game.
Not as easy a game as many would have you believe.

The two protagonists of the last meeting between these clubs Arsenal's Eduardo and
Birmingham defender Martin Taylor both miss out through injury.
It's that time of year again - the worst fashion show of the year. Well, almost. The Premier
League clubs are almost all kitted out for the new season, with only a handful of notable
exceptions. A couple of clubs are staying as they were this season and Portsmouth will be keeping
their fingers crossed that they don't sell out of replica shirts after the closure of Canterbury
Clothing Company, but the overwhelming majority of clubs have not been able to resist the
temptation of all that lovely lucre and gone for it for the 2009/10 season.
