In the sixth round of fixtures in this Barclays Premier League season, things took quite a
shocking turn. Saturday's theme appeared to be upsets as the underdogs hit back at the expense of
their significantly more fancied counterparts.
The day's action began at Eastlands where Carlos Tevez inspired Manchester City to pick up a 1-0
win over defending champions Chelsea.
I don't know about all of you, but it seems like ages since I've seen Arsenal play. It seems
like ages since I've seen any football at all! I'm feeling some serious withdrawal, to the point
where I pondered whether or not I should watch this year's Superliga final. Turns out I'm not that
desperate.

The ex-Arsenal midfielder Alexandr Hleb left the Emirates a couple of years ago in dubious
circumstances, as he pulled out all the stops to force Arsene Wenger to sell him to Barcelona, but
now he returns to the Premier League with Birmingham with his reputation and confidence in tatters.
He realises that he made a BIG [.
Liverpool travel to the Midlands to take on Alex McLeish's Birmingham City today. That much is
known. However, not many are aware of an interesting subplot in the build-up to the day's only
Premier League fixture.
Blues defender Scott Dann, 23, was once a Kop season-ticket holder and after a fine start to the
new season, he is being tipped as one of the players Roy Hodgson's men will particularly need to
watch out for.
Birmingham City manager Alex McLeish has revealed that injury-plagued midfielder Alexander Hleb,
who arrived from the recent international break lacking full fitness, could now face Liverpool
after all.
Former Arsenal player Hleb, who represented Belarus in their recent Euro 2012 qualifiers, which
included a famous 1-0 away win against France, just arrived at St.

Awful. Just despicably awful. The only reason Liverpool's coming away with a point is the sheer
brilliance of Pepe Reina. Have I mentioned that I absolutely hate matches against Birmingham?
Patience maybe a virtue but in many walks of life it is an absolute necessity, the world of
football is no different.
As the dust settles and fans reflect on a 0-0 draw away at Birmingham, switching their focus to
the Europa League on Thursday, patience is a word that is only going to be heard more often.
At present as soon as the Liverpool team sheet is confirmed, especially away from home, hopes
are either heightened or sent rapidly plummeting towards the ground and the trip to St.Andrews
proved to be little different, even with a jump up to 5th place in the table in the offering.
The reason.
One of the biggest expectations during the recently closed transfer window was for Manchester
United to secure a top class goalkeeper in preparation for veteran Edwin van der Sar's
impending...

Birmingham midfielder Alexander Hleb has called on his teammates to improve. The Belarusian has
played at some of the biggest clubs in world football during his career, including Premier League
giants Arsenal and La Liga champions Barcelona, but he is looking forward to playing regular first
team football with the Blues this season.
The Premier League table is starting to take some sort of shape. Six games in and the expected
top four already is the top four (Chelsea, Man Utd, Arsenal and Man City), Blackburn, Sunderland
and Bolton are in the middle, and Wolves, Wigan and West Ham are towards the lower end. There'll
clearly be a few movers up and down over the next few months – West Brom Liverpool and Everton
the obvious candidates for change.
