The World Cup is here; there is nothing better than watching the games with friends, having a few
drinks and watching a game of football.
In case the football is not quite enough on it's own to entertain you, this World Cup
bingo/drinking game could possibly make things more interesting.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe there has a been a goal in the 2010 World Cup thus
far that has been scored directly from a free kick. In a sport where the difference between a
winning and losing team is often a goal from a direct free kick, it seems odd that there have been
none thus far.
Most of us have done it! had a bet on a game on the TV believing that we can predict the
outcome of the game whether it be first-goalscorer, correct score or the full/time result of the
game and I bet we all make the same 5 betting mistakes I mention below. I bet most of us have at
least done 3 of the mistakes on many occasions leaving you broke, lets hope these tips can help
you overcome those mistakes.
And I don't think there will be much argument with that even from the inexplicably
gooner-dominated football websphere. In what has become a trend of late, none of Arsenal's
"free-flowing" football has ever been allowed to flow at Old Trafford, and yesterday was no
different.
The woeful inaccuracies of NFN's predictions is the stuff of internet legend, but so far we've
actually gotten 10 out of 16 games right in the first two rounds of what is often lovingly referred
to as "the bingo-league". This is as opposed to last season, where NFN's predictions were overall
significantly less accurate than flipping a coin.
It's here Kickettes! We made it! To coin a phrase from our girl Lainey, it's Jumpy Claps all
round.
Are you freaking out? We. Totes. Are.
We started anticipation-eating last night, and we plan on gaining at least a stone in solid
liquorice nibs by the time this is over.
We've got lots of fun stuff to get to today, including our own WC(!
Finally. It. Is. Here. The 2010 World Cup kicks off today with the first match up between South
Africa and Mexico.
I'm picking South Africa and Mexico to draw in this one. Mexico should win, but buoyed by the
incredible support of the South African nation, I think the South Africans will rise to the
occasion and grab an equalizer.
They say that you learn from your experiences and no statement is truer than with a
drinking/bingo game, sadly my original effort was not realistic enough, there were not enough
points scored or drinks consumed.
Therefore with the Vuvela's cracking off, goalkeeping gaffes and lack of excitement in the
tournament so far, I have updated the game to make the games higher scoring affairs.
"Chile defender Gonzalo Jara will be familiar to fans of West Bromwich Albion, after helping them
win promotion to the Premier League last season."It's a home banker for your World Cup bingo cards
tonight, when La Roja face Brazil in the round of 16. Commentators panicking about researching
players based at 'unknown' clubs like Udinese heave a sigh of relief when they spot an English team

Since their last clean sheet a nil-nil home draw with Portsmouth on 14th April this year Wigan
have played 6 Premier League matches, winning one, drawing one and losing four. In the course of
this disappointing run, the Latics have conceded 25 times. Eighteen of these have come in the last
three games: 8-0 at Stamford Bridge on the final day of last season before beginning the 2010/11
campaign with consecutive home defeats, 0-4 and 0-6 to Blackpool and Chelsea respectively.
There once was a young lad called Wayne, and it was from near the Mersey that he came. From quite a
young age he developed a tastefor the ladies upon whom money you waste. The rumour went that it was
around the bingo hallwhere our Wayne used to trawl;looking for that special grannyand then trading
his cash for fanny.
"Jarv" on Friends of Fulham responded to a discussion about my Bryan Robson / Clint post with
the name "John Wark".
Bingo. Wark was a midfielder, a defender, and only occasionally a forward, and he scored
much less often than Clint (except for in the 1981 UEFA Cup run, in which he went bananas).
I'm not convinced I've quite mastered the direction of this season. A campaign that has had some
impressive highs six goals scored twice, five goals once and four goals four times has also seen
some of the ropiest home form for a while, and yet here we are at the top of the league. Are we
enjoying it?
