The long struggle that began in 2007 is almost complete. We've got the team, we've got the
stadium, we've got the Bimbo. We've got the kits, the scarves, the key chains. So what's
missing? The beer, that's what. Not that there's any dearth of that sweet nectar in and around
PPL Park. Of a given game day, you'll see everything from high-quality local brews like Yard's
and Dogfish Head to the ubiquitous old standbys.
Soccer By Ives is reporting that the Philadelphia Union are "preparing" to sell Sebastien Le
Toux to a European club. The American soccer news site indicated that a full story will be released
soon on Fox's soccer site.

the the 2010 MLS season, accumulating 25 goals and 20 assists (70 points) over two seasons with the
Union.
Philadelphia Union unveiled their new jerseys for 2012 today.
The two new jerseys, designated as primary and secondary, incorporate the logo of jersey sponsor
Bimbo, which signed a deal with the Union last year, albeit too late for brand new jerseys to be
designed.
Both jerseys are blue and gold, with blue as the primary color, though in different shades.

In just two years, people who honestly had no idea there was a professional soccer league in the

The Union has a couple of posts on their website about the Bimbo shirt sponsorship deal. Of
particular interest is this quote from Nick Sakiewicz. "In about a week, fans will begin to see the
impact of this partnership because we're going to be announcing some significant player
signings.

First of all, apologies for being away a while. Busy time of year for all of us the last few
weeks and life gets in the way. This time of year the game domestically really starts to get
exciting with the MLS Combine, followed by the Superdraft and NSCAA Convention before clubs head
into their respective pre-seasons.
The Philadelphia Inquirer is reporting that the Union have a shirt sponsor, Bimbo Bakeries.
An official announcement from the club is scheduled for later today.
The four year deal is worth approximately $12 million.
Bimbo Bakeries USA has its headquarters in Horsham, PA. The iconic Mexican brand operates 34

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that the Union have signed Bimbo Bakeries as a shirt sponsor.
The deal is worth $12 million over 4 years, and also makes Bimbo a league sponsor, which opens up
other advertising opportunities for the company, including stadium ads.
Philadelphia Union is poised to announce a major sponsorship deal that will stamp the routinely
mispronounced name of the giant Mexico-based baker onto the front of the team jersey.
