The Juve legend might be moving to Canada and becoming a Quebecois. If that happens he will join
Marco Di Vaio, the former Bologna and Juve striker who became the Impact's first designated player.
The Gazzetto Dello Sport is reporting Del Piero is vacationing with Joey Saputo, the Impact owner
in Florida.
Rafael Toloi is one of those names that pops up from time to time, linked to the biggest names
in European football, but probably destined for a Europa League-quality team until he can prove
he's ready for the big time. Unfortunately, You Tube isn't helping in that respect.
An exceptional finish from Rafael this week.
Reading's 2012-13 Premier League campaign; what does Zingarevich's takeover mean? - originally
posted on Soccerlens.com
On Tuesday newly-promoted Reading announced that Thames Sports Investment has completed a 51 per
cent buyout of the club. The new owners, led by Russian businessman Anton Zingarevich, are rumoured
to be ready to spend the required revenue to help the Royals compete in the English top-flight, and
ensure their return to the big time is not on a temporary basis.
The Big Crowd at Ludwig Field"Awesome."
That one word response from Oguchi Onyewu summed up the feeling from the players and coaches from
Monday's public training session at Ludwig Field on the campus of the University of Maryland, where
more than 2,000 supporters took the opportunity to watch the team up close and personal.
McDermott's Reading - worthy champions?
The world's best division (TM me, all rights reserved) certainly did not disappoint this season,
offering all kinds of twists and turns, finally resulting in a triumphant return to the Premier
League promised land for Reading, Southampton, and West Ham.
We have, in recent years, become rather too accustomed to a boom and bust culture in football,
particularly at clubs in the lower divisions. Few clubs, however, have ever boomed and busted with
the speed of Colne Dynamoes, and it is the man that was responsible for this, Graham White, who
takes the number ninety-seven position on our list.
The Sounders Women will be broadcast live on KKNW AM1150! The final seven matches of the season,
and four "Sounders Women Weekly" shows will be broadcast live. Did you hear that? It's yet another
exciting step that the Sounders Women are taking to get their team into the big time. Okay, let's
not put the cart before the horse, but still it's cool.

Norwich City 2-0 Aston Villa Premier League 20th May 2012
The Canaries finished off a fine first season back in the big time by beating the perennially
dismal Aston Villa 2-0 at Carrow Road.
One of the surprise stars of the season, Grant Holt, netted the opener on eight minutes before
Simeon Jackson doubled the home side's advantage midway through the first-half.
On Sunday, as Chelsea take on Blackburn in the final Premier League game of the season at the
Bridge, and as the final whistle blows, the harsh reality of our failings in the league will hit
home to all of us.
Forget the
FA Cup win and the
Champions League final next week
for a moment and take a look at where we find ourselves and it isn't enjoyable reading.
I am perplexed, after last weeks draw with Norwich several fans came onto this blog to slam
Szczesny for his performance during the game. Whilst I admit it was not his best game I was shocked
at the tone of some of the criticism:
Szczesny is learning on the job and cost us valuable points with his inexperience
Do you know what, we are pointing finger at everybody, but the guy that did lose us the game, ie
Mr Bloody Szczesny.

U.S. head coach Jurgen Klinsmann wants his players competing in high-pressure, big-time matches.
Sometimes that's a championship final. Other times it can mean a relegation fight. And for Jonathan
Spector today, it means a chance at perhaps the biggest single pay day any club can receive in
football.
The final home game for Villa this season sees their fans not exactly confident at picking up what
would be only their fifth home win of the season. There are rumours of a protest before and after
the game that may or may not have been cancelled, but it's definitely driving a wedge between the
fans who would rather get behind the team at this late stage and those who want to make their
feelings clear to the board.
Newcastle repaid their fans big time tonight at Stamford Bridge with a wonderful 2-0 win against
The Champions League finalists, and they go 4 points ahead of Chelsea. Newcastle started this
game as they needed to, and they were very tight at the back, and came out of the blocks quickly,
and they withstood early Chelsea pressure.

It's hardly surprising that Alan Pardew has come out today and said Mike Ashley, Newcastle's

Midweek games here in Dallas never cease to amazing me at how much it breaks up my week. Normal
weeks have me doing the same old thing but a game smack dap in the middle of the week is a nice
break.
Last night's RSL-FC Dallas game was a good one to get the new week started in Major League
Soccer too.

Micah Richards has claimed that Manchester United players get straight in to the England squad
whilst players like him have to work twice as hard to get recognition from his country.
"Had McClaren been still in charge, I would have had 60 caps by now," said Richards.
"McClaren believed in me and Capello believed in people like Phil Jones and Smalling.

The Championship Race for Promotion: Southampton, Reading and the Play-Off Candidates -
originally posted on Soccerlens.com
With 6 games to go in the season, the race for promotion to the riches of the Premier League is
hotting up.
It is seemingly a three-horse race for the two automatic promotion places on offer.
Both Mike Williamson and James Perch, our two center-backs, came through for Newcastle big
time yesterday. Williamson and Perch celebrate Cisse's first goal yesterday Their form at the back
for Newcastle was excellent, and it seems that Mike is coming into his best form at the business
end of the season, with just 7 games to go.
Luis Suarez could be the subject of a bid from Roma this summer, according to Italian publication
Il Tempo.
Suarez has been an instant hit with Liverpool supporters since he made the switch from Ajax last
year but has had his desire to stay in England tested after a string of controversial incidents.
Their Words "That is a really big win for us. We felt we were a little unfortunate not to get a
result out of our first two games and we did what we needed to do. To come in here and get three
points from a good team at their own stadium is big time for us." Chivas USA forward Casey

Saturday Chelsea - Bolton 9:30am - Fox Soccer After making his debut in London last week in the FA

Inter's inconsistency could end up costing them big time unless they get ship back on course
immediately. A 1-0 home loss to Novara on Sunday sees the Nerrazzuri remain 5th on the Serie A
table 10 points behind leaders Milan.
Inter's latest loss has led to a number of rumours linking Fabio Capello with Ranieri's job and
despite the fans voicing their concerns over Capello taking the reigns at Inter.
In the midst of the ongoing Moreno saga, a bit of "good news" came out of the Revolution camp
today as the club have announced the signing of French striker Saër Sène from Bayern Munich on a
free transfer. The player had recently been in camp with the Revolution in Arizona, and after
watching him both on and off the field, Revolution GM Michael Burns commented "We believe he'll
play a valuable role for us this season.
In retrospect, after we got over the pain of watching the game, Tottenham looked a very good
side yesterday against Newcastle. Danny Simpson tries to tackle Emmanuel Adebayor Of course they
were helped big time when most of the Newcastle players started the game seemingly in a deep sleep,

Since I started this here blog just over six years ago I've seen almost 200 games across the
region. I've been to a lot more but for some reason I never quite get to the stadium.
Persipura hosted East Bengal last year in the AFC Cup at Bung Karno so I headed off nice and early
to catch the game.
I am as Chelsea as they come, have supported this club from as early as I can remember to where I
am now (38 years old) and cannot stand Manchester United as much as they probably can't stand
Chelsea, but putting all feelings to one side, we have to acknowledge not only what he has achieved
in the game, but how he's done it.
Fernando Torres has been the focus of press and media attention ever since he signed for Chelsea.
He scored 81 goals in just 142 games for Liverpool and everyone expected more of the same here but
it hasn't happened. Everyone is asking questions, people are beginning to turn and doubt Torres but
I am posting this because I for one believe in Torres.
One thing I have noticed in recent weeks is the lack of real chances we are creating for ourselves.
The thing is, because of this happening, the likes of Danny Sturridge (as he demonstrated
yesterday) have taken a selfish approach to his game and is shooting whenever he gets the ball in
or around the box rather then lift his head up and look for a killer pass or to create a chance for
someone else.
Mike Ashley wants a major revamp of Newcastle United so that the club can compete with the best

When we all woke up yesterday everything was normal. Papiss Cisse - Newcastle's new number 9 But
at the end of the day things had changed big time at Newcastle, with the signing of Papiss

It doesn't matter how honourable intentions may be at the Football Association of Singapore they
