Spanish giants Real Madrid will have been relieved to have avoided some of Europe's big guns in the
Champions League second round, but they need no reminding of how tough their next opponent will be.
Roma, Inter Milan and Arsenal were all avoided but the draw of Lyon will bring back memories of
last year.
Carlo Ancelotti has spoken ahead of tomorrow. He said:
"Arsenal knows very well our skills and ability, and we also know their ability, their
skills. Obviously we want to try the same game we played against them and reach the same
result.
Arsenal has fantastic ability to play fantastic football, maybe they concede something defensively
and we have to use our ability to find the right space to create difficulties in their defensive
line.
In November, we talked to Corinthians versatile defensive midfielder Jucilei da Silva. Signed as
an unknown from Jota Malucelli (now Corinthians Paranaense) in 2009, the 22-year-old quickly
established himself in the Musketeer's first team and is now a regular with Brazil. The player says
he's committed to Corinthians until they go out of the Libertadores next year but already the
European big guns are hovering.

The announcement of where the World Cup is going to be held in 2018 is one that has been
gathering a fair amount of attention in recent weeks. (Obviously not in the Kickette office, where
such matters are spurned in favour of speculation about short tents and hairdos, but in other
football related media.

Ipswich Town sensation Connor Wickham is ready to reject a move to Liverpool as he wants to join
Arsenal or Tottenham in January, Goal.com UK can reveal.
Liverpool are hoping to win the race for the highly regarded striker by meeting the £10 million
asking price set by Ipswich.
But Goal.com UK understands Wickham has sparked a battle in north London for his signature by
telling Ipswich he favours a move to Arsenal or Spurs.
After a disappointing start to their Champions League campaign, Manchester United went to
Valencia and scored a rare win in Spain to get back on track. If United can pull off the sweep
tonight at Old Trafford, they'll round out another successful Champions League group stage run by
clinching top spot and perhaps more along with it.
Right, lets be honest, that performance was an absolute pile of shite. Pure and utter dookie.
But really who cares?
The main thing is that we are through to the last 16 stage of the Champions League isn't it?
Sure it was more painful to watch at times than having an ingrown toe nail but at the end of the
day our name is in the hat for the next round.
Reminds me of my mate in England around 30 years ago.
Sean Parker . On completing my Business Management degree Sean said, "I was going to go University
and do a degree, but my mate /Steve Atkins, Akkers, didn't pick up the form."
Now the same dynamic attitude could keep English football in the "thump long and get it right up
at" era.
Despite having a solid 2-1 away victory against Manchester City, Everton's season haven't been
as exciting as their previous few years under David Moyes, as this year they are still struggling
to break away from the bottom halves of the league.
According to Moyes, one of the main reasons that his team aren't doing as well as they should is
because the team's inability to beat the lower teams as they have been actually playing well
against the big guns.
Arsenal 3 Chelsea 1
This is the blog post which I've wanted to write for so long. To painfully rip of Barack Obama,
based on Monday's match, change has come to Arsenal.
It's very hard to say if this match will be the turning-point in the development of this team. But
it's the first time we've really outplayed United or Chelsea in a long time.
