Tonight is the third of four big games for RDM and his Chelsea side as we travel to
Manchester.
Off the back of four wins from four we have confidence leading into the game and rightly so but
its important to take each game as it comes and we have to be aware of the threat City will pose
tonight.
-Tonight the the CONCACAF Champions League knockout phase starts for MLS teams. At 7pmCST, Toronto
will be facing LA Galaxy. This is sure to be a stellar match to watch. 43,500 tickets have been
sold making it, by far and away, Toronto FC's largest home crowd ever. The 2012 Red's should be
much improved over last year.
The European Championship in Ukraine and Poland is approaching so I feel it's time to take a more
in-depth look as to which nation stands the best chance of winning this competition.
I don't think that you'd have to look beyond the usual heavyweights to find the winner of this
tournament, either.
Tottenham, City and Liverpool must fight form and history this weekend - originally posted on

The Premier League title and the Champions League places are far from a done deal. Both
Manchester City and Tottenham have blown healthy leads in first and third place respectively to
fall down to second and fourth, and while City's depth and sheer quality (not to mention a recall
for Carlos Tevez) may yet save their title challenge, Tottenham don't have that wild card to call
upon.
After last night's performance full of mixed emotions on my part it comes as no surprise to
me that Chelsea are ALREADY being written off for the semi-finals against Barcelona. Everyone is
saying things like "If they play like that, they will get hammered!" etc etc.
The thing to remember is that Pep Guardiola more than anyone, will know that Chelsea are a side
that aren't scared of playing Barcelona and will always give them a good game.
The stage is set. Barcelona need to win by a two goal margin to qualify for the Champions League
final, Chelsea will do with a draw or scoring one less than Barcelona in a defeat.
Chelsea have had a perfect week, winning 1-0 at Stamford Bridge and then nullifying Arsenal at
the Emirates despite playing their second-team.
Paul Dickov insists his Oldham side will look to attack when they chase an FA Cup upset against
Liverpool on Friday night.
A second-round replay victory over Southend at Boundary Park in December booked a mouthwatering
trip to face Kenny Dalglish's side for the Latics, who currently lie 14th in League One.
Forget all the comments being made and focus on Didier Drogba and his "diving" or so they call it
at Stamford Bridge ahead of tonight's game. Make no mistake. Barcelona are scared of Drogba and are
more than worried about the big man.
He has proven over the years to be the scourge of Barcelona with important goals against them.
With an impressive knack of scoring crucial goals in big games, Liverpool's flying Dutchman has
trained his sights on his own cup final hat-trick when his team take on Chelsea at Wembley on
Saturday.
Kuyt has scored in a Champions League final, Carling Cup final and now
he is hoping to feature at Wembley this weekend to repeat the trick in Saturday's FA Cup final.
I have to admit that I naively raised an eyebrow yesterday when Roberto Mancini, chasing a
much-needed win at Newcastle, took off attacking midfielder Samir Nasri for defensive midfielder
Nigel De Jong. In the end this turned out to be the masterstroke that won City the game, and
possibly the league title.
Saturday night, on that pitch in Munich and without John Terry there the focus of leadership will
turn to Frank Lampard. Chelsea have plenty of leaders on the pitch but there will be only one
wearing the armband, one voice above everyone else's the man the others will look to.
You see, Lampard has been there and done that as far as his experience goes and once again on the
biggest stage of all, he has a chance to put right the wrongs of Moscow.
Seattle and Vancouver headline a busy Week 11. (Getty Images)
Two games down, a bunch more to go as Week 11 rolls on.
Nine games headlined by two big rivalry games in Vancouver and in LA certainly a busy weekend in
MLS. I have a busy day ahead of me here so I'll cut out the big intro and get to the meat of the
post here, the items I'll be focusing in on this weekend.
Alan Pardew seems to just love these big games at St. James' Park like last night, when the
crowd is at its capacity, and the Geordie fans are singing their heads off from the very
first whistle. Yohan Cabaye scored Newcastle's second goal just after half time It was a big big
night for Newcastle fans everywhere, as Newcastle beat Manchester United 3-0 with two
wonderful goals [.

With the departure of Cesc and Nasri, no matter what you think of the players, it's obvious that
our goals from the midfield area have reduced. Whether this be down to the injury of Wilshire, or
the lack of width provided by the full backs, I don't know. But, with Arshavin looking increasingly
on his way out, what has become clear is that Arsenal are in need of an attacking midfielder/wide
player who can create and score goals in equal measure.

Roy Hodgson's men are three places above the dreaded bottom three but do have the safety of a

It's been such a flat start to the week after Sunday's defeat which was hard to take, followed
by current Spurs headlines which are dominated by Harry's court case.
The season goes on however and at the club, Joe Jordan and Jermain Defoe are leading the voices
that are ‘taking the positives' out of Sunday's game.

The English Premier League is widely regarded as the most exciting League across the globe but
in many cases, big games between the top clubs turn out to be dull affairs with both teams
canceling each other out, but today, at Stamford Bridge, Man Utd and Chelsea provided one of the
truly memorable classic games that ended in a pulsating 3-3 draw.
For those of you not lucky enough to have season tickets this year then you'll probably be
relying on nabbing a few of these single game tickets. Luckily, you now have plenty of time to
request February 28th off from work and get in line nice and early to ensure that you're able to
attend at least a few games.
Sunday afternoon saw United grab a point at Stamford Bridge right from the jaws of defeat. Most
people saw this as a point gained, rather than two lost given the circumstances. With 24 matches
played and both Manchester teams locked at the top of the league, the stakes couldn't be higher.
The big games are [.
According to Kevin Prince Boateng, Arsenal typically chokes when it comes to big games. The
former Spurs defender, who now plays for AC Milan, was quoted by the Mail Online as saying the
Gunners bottle it when it matters. It's hard to argue with him when you look at the London team's
record over the past half-dozen years.
The biggest match of the week without a doubt has to be the Milan-Arsenal fixture tonight. With
both clubs looking to bag all points on offer and secure an advantage heading into the last leg,
tension is starting to creep up on the players and coaches as well.
According to Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger, their biggest threat to a quarter final berth is
Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Roman Abramovich has had an "interesting" few days being back at Cobham hasn't he. Being present
for the most part last week and taking an interest in training, to then watch

properly must have been a real eye opener.

It's been such a good fortnight that I'd almost, almost forgotten about our crippling,
humiliating 4-0 defeat to Milan in the San Siro.
After that loss, we politely excused ourselves, and bid adieu to the FA Cup. But after shipping two
goals against Spurs, the players picked themselves up, and drove themselves to victory in two big
games.
The use of a 'Cup final' as a cliche in soccer make sense.
A 'Cup final' is a match that is a championship game in a tournament - one where there can only be
a winner and a loser, and one where the loser is eliminated. The NBA on TNT uses this phrase for
their commercials during their tournament-style playoffs: WIN OR GO HOME.
Four points from our four big games (Liverpool, Newcastle, l'Arse and Man Utd) is a tad below
par, and the gap to the ‘orrible lot down the road has shrunk accordingly, but even the most
pessimistic, nihilistic doom-mongerers of our clan are struggling to whip themselves into a genuine
frenzy regarding our two consecutive defeats.
Merseyside derbies, Manchester United derbies, "Big Four" derbies, Champions League, Carling Cup,
FA Cup - these are big games that Liverpool in recent times love and strive to win. Hence it should
be no surprise that the Reds thumped the Blues of Liverpool 3-0 with a classy hattrick from the
soon-to-be Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard.
This week's predictions feature the FA Cup quarter-finals, as well as big games from England,
Spain and two huge derbies from Greece and Turkey.
Newcastle goalkeeper Tim Krul may have shared several angry confrontations with Arsenal skipper
Robin van Persie during Monday's thrilling Premier League match but the young Dutchman has now

Krul and van Persie were engaged in heated arguments since the opening stages of the match,
prompting suggestions that past differences had caused the spat.
With Manchester City struggling so badly with captain Vincent Kompany missing for just a few

well without Vidic for most of the season. Bruce has singled out Jonny Evans for praise with the
