In this week's predictions battle we feature two matches from the Asia Cup, games from Italy and
some more big games from the Premier League. Can you guess the scores to these games from around
the world?
According to the Manchester Evening News, Manchester United boss Sir
Alex Ferguson believes that Michael Owen will have a part to play with
the club this season, which leads to the assumption that he isn't going anywhere this month.
Ferguson said,
"Now he is back fit, Michael will always be considered part of the squad and he will play in
some big games .
Right so, FA Cup action this early afternoon against Leeds.
I needn't go into the details of why I dislike Leeds so much again, suffice to say I really,
really, really want us to win this. We know there are going to be a raft of changes to the Arsenal
team. The manager has been cautious with Djourou so he's unlikely to play and he said he'd rest
Koscielny who had played a lot recently, so there's a question over who might partner Squillaci at
the centre of the defence.
Kenny Dalglish, the saviour of Liverpool Football Club, took charge as manager
for the second time on Sunday but will it last?
After only six months in charge at Anfield, much to the delight of the
Liverpool faithful, Roy Hodgson was dismissed on Saturday.
So the Lamborghini Murcielago, represented by Lionel Messi, takes top trumps.
The Barcelona superstar and current FIFA World Player of the Year has capped off another annual by
retaining his Ballon d'Or crown.
Messi fended off the challenge of fellow Barca compatriots Xavi Hernandez, and Andres Iniesta to
become one of the rare few to have won the prize twice in succession.
Alan Hansen believes that interim Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish will want the job permanently at
the end of the season, and will be targeting Champions League qualification.
Dalglish, who previously spent 14 years at the Anfield club as a player and manager, was handed the
reins until the end of the season after Roy Hodgson left the club.

Anyone who's been following the Premiership this year will undoubtedly have heard rave reviews
about Bale. Many players divide opinions but it seems to be that the Tiny Tott winger has been
universally lauded. Some have gone so far as to compare him with Messi!
Speaking of players dividing opinions while talking of Bale the name Theo Walcott comes to
mind.

Iraq today was the last Arab team to be knocked out of the Asian Cup with a 0-1 defeat with a
beautiful header from Kewell after extra time.
Iraq, Jordan and Qatar, all played really nice football and did big games. However, it terms of
numbers, this is the worst Asian Cup since 1972.
The Asia cup is reaching its climax, Liverpool have finally won two games in a row, Inter
stumble, as do Dortmund. But the big news in the UK is all about 'Can women understand the offside
rule?' sexism rears its ugly head. Check out languagecaster.com's review section to read in more

Dimitar Berbatov is 30 today. Once upon a time that age seemed to spell decline or the closing
of a career. In this day and age, with players looking after themselves the way they do, that
doesn't have to be the case.
Berbatov joined United in what was meant to be his prime as a 27-year-old, which is why we
forked out a massive £30m for him.
