Still riding high from his Premier League debut last weekend, US international Landon Donovan is
anxiously awaiting an opportunity to make his home debut at Goodison Park. The on-loan Los Angeles
Galaxy playmaker could get that chance as soon as this coming Saturday, when Everton plays host to
fourth-place Manchester City.
Leeds captain Richard Naylor has acknowledged there is no love lost between our two clubs,
although recognises how great we've been over recent years... unlike them.
"It's a big game and, after growing up a Leeds fan with all the history, you don't like them
very much," said Naylor.

Henry Winter thinks the FA Cup is gaining relevance as the money English
football tips even farther to the Top Four in the Premier League, and points specifically to
today's third round FA Cup clash between Leeds United and Manchester
United as proof.
COS Contributor Garry Bacon imagines an alternate reality where snow wasn't enough to call off
Sunday's big game. Similarities to Dirty Tackle's excellent "If It
Continued" series are coincidental and shouldn't prevent lovers of football and inane
humour from reading both!
Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has revealed that he will change things up for the clash against
Peterborough in the FA Cup this weekend, but warned his side that an upset isn't impossible.
"It's very important, it's a big game and we want to keep winning," Redknapp said.
"I'll make a few changes and one or two of the lads that haven't played recently will get a game
because they have worked hard.
Despite being hyped up by the British press as the games great saviour, Fabio Capello will
really earn his corn over the next six months. Obviously it all gets serious now as the build up to
South Africa begins and the Italian starts finalising the squad in his mind. Few can doubt he's
done a good job and many applaud his disciplinarian attitude.
As predicted by many, the fixture against Bolton was called off and still remains a game in
hand. I had read about the likelihood of the game being called off on many sites/blogs but was
hoping it will go ahead. It seems, Wenger had similar wishes and the Arsenal staff tried everything
in their power to make it work.
In the world of Indonesian football it don't get much bigger than Persib Bandung against Persija
Jakarta and today the struggling giants of the game will do battle at the Jalak Harupat Stadium in
Soreang.
Citing security concerns the game will be played without spectators which is disappointing but
given the crowd control ability of the local officials understable.
Speaking as a neutral fan, the final round of group games at of the 2010 African Cup of Nations
have been a little disappointing so far. Angola and Algeria played out that goalless draw to go
through from Group A, Ghana eked out a 1-0 win over Burkina Faso to join Cote D'Ivoire as
qualifiers from Group B, and last night Egypt and Nigeria each recorded expected victories to
qualify from Group C.
So it's back to league action this Saturday when Kettering are the visitors to Broadhall Way.
It's been a long 3 weeks since Boro beat Cambridge 4-1 to go top of the Blue Square Premier. In
that time we have had games against Wrexham and Eastbourne postponed as well as have the FA Trophy
game against Vauxhall Motors called off twice before finally getting the go ahead on Tuesday
night, in a game which Boro won comfortably.
The first round of the Africa Cup of Nations is over. The major controversy, apart from the
dramatic incidents which affected the Togolese team, was the ranking system the Confederation of
African football chose to decide which team goes through in case of the same number of points.
Instead of simply going for the overall goal difference as the first criteria, the CAF chose the
particular goal difference in the match between the 2 teams who ended with the same number of
points.
I'm not going to insult your intelligence by explaining what a big game this Cameroon vs Egypt
Africa(n) Cup of Nations quarterfinal is. Replay of the 2008 final (which holders Egypt won 1-0),
Samuel Eto'o, etcetera, etcetera. Instead let's focus on the form of two teams who will be planning
on winning not just this game, but the whole thing.
It's never a good game when United lose but, amid disappointment and controversy, punters'
should remember that the first leg of this Carling Cup semi-final was a cracker. Manchester derbies
are fast becoming the most hottest clashes in England and that can only be a good thing.
As for this Wednesday: it's only half-time, we're one down with 90 minutes to play in front of
75,000 screaming Reds and we're famous for being the comeback kings of European football.

The Game It's a big game for us Gunners, but let's face it, which are not? We pay a visit to Aston
Villa to consolidate our leadership at the top of the Premiership. Easy will not ...
Sol Campbell made his second Arsenal debut in last weekends defeat at Stoke, and was thrown on
again last night when Thomas Vermaelen was taken off with a suspected broken leg. Now Campbell
thinks he is ready for the big game this Sunday, when Arsenal face Man Utd in the crucial title
clash. "I wouldn't be [.

ME ME MELooks like I am making a run to Milwaukee this weekend. I have a new niece to welcome into the
family. Hi Delaney! You never know where I might turn up, so if you see me please say hi. That big
game on Sunday could be calling me to the Highbury!
STARTERSIt's official, Kenny Cooper is leaving 1860 Munich on loan to Plymouth Argyle and manager Paul
Mariner.
Let's get straight to it. I do not have much time over the next 2days to post anything as I've got
a friend's wedding to attend and actively involved in. Although I should be back with a match
preview on Sunday. With the big game coming up on Sunday, I thought it would nice to [...]
Manchester United vs Arsenal
Premier League
Old Trafford, Manchester
Monday 13th December 2010
20:00 BST
Moved to a Monday night to presumably suit Murdoch and his minions, Manchester will play host to
one of the biggest games of the season so far as the Premier League's top two face off under the
Old Trafford floodlights for the first time this campaign.
Even with the big game against Man utd coming up tomorrow, the papers are still full of Arsenal
transfer news. Almost everyone has reported that Jack Wilshere has chosen Bolton as his destination
for the rest of the season so there is no point going into that here. Except to say Good Luck Jack!
A few [.
If you ever wondered why Arsenal never sign important players, then Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger
may have the answer to that: they simply are not for sale. Speaking ahead of this afternoon's big
game against Manchester ...
