It's always difficult to put together a "Best of" in any sport because there are so many
variables to consider that determine who qualifies, and particularly in this Premier League season,
there are many players who warrant serious consideration. This season has shown that competition is
still fierce at both ends of the table, and results have shown that "The Big Boys" have not had it
their own way, and some newcomers have shined in the spotlight.
Fulham fans may have seen their beloved former manager Roy Hodgson struggle badly to adjust to life
at one of the league's big boys, with Liverpool fans not exactly welcoming him into their lives on
Merseyside, but it is struggles closer to home that will currently be occupying the minds of the
Fulham faithful.
(The Nike Friendlies are taking place in Phoenix this week and while the current members of
the U.S. Under-17 national team are several steps away from being real targets for the senior team,
that doesn't mean we can't keep a close eye on the young talent coming up the pipeline.
