Tough to answer. Many people will be upset to see a Mexican goal against the U.S. in a championship
as goal of the year and possible best goal ever, but it is what it is. It's controversial to say,
but, there is an argument to be made.

Mexico's Carlos Vela scored a contender for the goal of the season not just in La Liga but the
whole of Europe. Vela, a former Arsenal player, has failed to impress or hold a place not just with
the Gunners but a couple of other European clubs.
His scoring record is rather unimpressive for an attacker but this stunning overhead goal could
change everything for Vela.
