There are a lot of great things about the women's game, but if there's one thing it could use more
of, it's bicycle kick goals. Of course, when is a bike NOT fun? Never. Since, to our knowledge (and
the WNT Blog is pretty knowledgeable), there has never been a full bike scored in a WNT game, we
asked resident bicycle kick expert Megan Rapinoe (she's our expert because she actually tries them)
who would most likely to score on a bike?
Well, it seems like Man United's investment is finally paying off. Berbatov scored a hat-trick
this past Sunday to help United beat Liverpool 3-2. Watch Berbatov's bicycle kick goal below:

Liverpool midfielder Dirk Kuyt is set to be out for up to six weeks after attempting a
bicycle-kick at the Dutch training ground ahead of their Euro 2012 fixture against
Finland.
When Kuyt attempted the bicycle -kick he seemingly came down heavily on his shoulder, pulling
ligaments in his shoulder in doing so.
Another meaningless feat of athleticism is punished.
From the Premier League:
Liverpool have confirmed Dirk Kuyt will miss the next four weeks with a shoulder injury. Kuyt
suffered the injury during training with Holland ahead of their Euro 2012 qualifier against
Finland, and returned to England for tests at Liverpool's Melwood training base.
Dirk Kuyt has been ruled out for 4 weeks with a shoulder injury after attempting a bicycle kick in
training whilst on international duty. In typical Liverpool fashion, one of our key players has
picked up an injury whilst on International duty in the middle of the football season. Liverpool's

Liverpool, you are trying to break my heart.
Two-nil down and all was lost. Liverpool had gifted United the lead near the end of a tepid first
half when man-marking failed on a corner, then Berbatov doubled his tally right before the hour
mark with a stunning individual goal.
Berbaflop? The Bulgarian's second goal was a masterclass in control and creativity. Wayne Rooney
misses a looping Nani cross altogether but the ball falls behind Berbatov who turns around controls
it with his knee, flicks it up, and with his back turned away from goal smashes an improvised
bicycle kick.
Berbatov thighs the ball up into the air and pulls off a fantastic bicycle kick.
Week 5 of the Premiership
Chelsea 4 – 0 Blackpool: I'm running out of synonyms for the word "dominate" to
describe the way Chelsea has just been steamrolling through opponents so far in this campaign. The
match against Blackpool was no exception as the only time the Tangerines looked threatening was
after Chelsea was four goals up.
Entering this season, many of the Manchester United supporters wanted
to Dimitar Berbatov out the Old Trafford exit doors, but now they are singing a different tune
following his impressive performances this season.
The Bulgarian bagged his first hat-trick and all three of United's goals, which ultimately
spared their blushes in 3-2 win over their most-hated rival, Liverpool.
Manchester United beat Liverpool 3-2 at Old Trafford yesterday, with Dimitar Berbatov looking
worth every penny of his £30.75million transfer fee as he scored a hat-trick in the biggest game
of the Premier League season so far. The pick of Berbatov's three goals was his second, taking a
Nani cross on his thigh and then finding the top corner with an overhead kick.
It seems that nothing he does will ever silence his haters although he probably shouldn't have
any. Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov is playing some incredible football right now, and
it doesn't seem like he'll be letting up anytime soon.
The excitement was palpable leading up to kickoff.

Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson has revealed that Dirk Kuyt is
ahead of schedule in his recovery from the injury he sustained whilst on international duty with
Holland at the beginning of the month.
Kuyt sheered the ligaments in his shoulder whilst trying to execute a bicycle kick during a
training session and was initially expected to be sidelined for up to two months, but it seems that
the Dutchman is closing in on a first-team return after just three weeks of treatment.
