An interesting report appeared for Liverpool's fans as the Reds' activeness in the market looks
to continue sharply as not long after securing the signature of highly rated England u21
midfielder, John Henderson, Kenny Dalglish's team are reportedly already closing in another target,
Christian Zapata.
The future of Udinese's Chilean star, Alexis Sanchez still hangs in the balance as despite
recent strong indication that the player will ends up in Barcelona, things seems a little bit
confusing as the Bianconeri's president, Giampaolo Pozzo, still denies that a deal have been struck
with the Catalan.

Manchester United enter the race to sign Alexis Sanchez - originally posted on

It seemed a foregone conclusion this time last week that Alexis Sanchez would be ending his
fairytale stay at Udinese to seek pastures new in Catalonia with European Champions Barcelona.
However, reports emanating from the British tabloids today claim that Manchester United have
entered the fray to sign the multi-talented Chilean international
Although there were indications a deal was in place with Barcelona, Bianconeri President Franco
Soldati poured cold water on such talk:
"With regards to the statements attributed to be about a supposed transfer of Sanchez to FC
Barcelona, I wish to point out these are without foundation.
Liverpool's want-away midfielder Alberto Aquilani looks set to make his loan spell at Juventus
permanent, after the player's agent once again reiterated that the 26-year-old is desperate to end
his nightmare at Anfield by switching to Serie A giants Juventus.
While Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has stated that he would like to bring Aquilani back to
Anfield in the summer, the Italian midfielder has repeatedly insisted that he would prefer to stay
at Juventus.
Udinese's most wanted man, Alexis Sanchez, looks really set to leave the Friulani after the
club's president, Franco Soldati, revealed that the Chilean have been approached by several teams
and serious talks have even been done especially with the likes of Barcelona and Juventus.
Soldati revealed that at the moment the Catalan giant are the closest one that could get their
hands on the Zebra's prize assets as the president hinted about the involvement of players exchange
aside from cash for the deal.
Alvaro Pereira, who is perceived as Liverpool's main target to fill the void in the left-back
position, is now reportedly being chased by the likes of Arsenal and Juventus.
Pereira recently capped off a fantastic year when he helped guide Uruguay to a famous Copa
America win, merely two months after claiming Portuguese glory as well as the Europa League title
with FC Porto.
Being heavily criticized and pressured over the last few days, Arsenal proves that they are
still more than capable in producing quality result as they successfully booked their place in the
Champions League group stage after picking another victory over Udinese.
Playing in a supposedly difficult fixture, the Gunners' managed to escape a scare and simply
ending the game with a 2-1 away victory with goals from Robin Van Persie and Theo Walcott.
By Mirko Corli, writing from Torino
The first round of 2011 Serie A action came with a couple of surprises.
First and foremost, Juventus.
The bianconeri lost 4-1 at home against Parma, and this is a big surprise not only
because Juve closed 2010 in good shape and with the will of doing something more in the upcoming
year, but also because it is a defeat that can mean more.
Juventus have struggled to find any consistency throughout another frustrating season which
currently sees them sit in sixth place in Serie A with Lazio in fourth on 48 points, a full seven
ahead of Juve. There is no point comparing this season's Juve with the last one for a number of
reasons.
According to the Daily Post, Juventus are currently not interested in signing
Liverpool midfielder Alberto Aquilani, who is at Juventus on
loan, to a permanent basis. Sporting director Alessio Secco said,
"In my opinion, aside from the injury he suffered, Juventus will opt to sign Quagliarella from
Napoli .
UPDATE: According to The Independent, the agent of Liverpool
midfielder Alberto Aquilani believes Juventus will permanently
sign his client. Franco Zavaglia said,
"Juve has the priority and I don't think they will let him escape .
All summer long the transfer talk around Juventus centred on the addition of a 'bomber' a term
Italians use when refering to an out-and-out goal poacher and it seemed to only be a matter of
choosing which natural scorer would arrive in Turin to fire the Bianconeri into Scudetto
contention. When the only forward that became a member of Gigi Delneri's squad was.
Juventus are keen on signing Alberto Aquilani on a permanent basis but want Liverpool to
significantly reduce their asking price.
La Gazzetta dello Sport claims dialogue has been opened between the two clubs as they attempt to
resolve Aquilani's future following his loan move to Italy last summer.
There are many things that will be remembered about the 2010-2011 Serie A season, both fondly
and infamously. Of course, people will remember Milan's Scudetto and Bari's relegation, Inter and
Roma's thrashings in the Champions' League and Napoli's dramatic late goals. Here's a series that
focuses on some of the other things that should be remembered about a fantastic season, full of
both the bizarre and the unbelievable.
Successfully shaking off his injury issues for pretty much a season long, Alberto Aquilani once
again become an interest in the transfer market and considering the latest report that Juventus are
reportedly not willing to pay out the fee that Liverpool asked, the midfielder's future hangs in
the balance.
The Serie A Weekly crew are very happy to welcome Football-Italia.net writer Susy Campanale to the
show. Susy graciously made herself available for this recording while under the weather so big
applauds for our guest as she enlightens on the progress of the Italian National football squad
under manager Cesare Prandelli.
The annual carousel of potential transfer targets is spinning once again in Turin as Juventus
look to try and build a title contending team. As is the summer tradition, star players from all
across Europe are being linked with the Bianconeri. But while the flashy names are splashed across
the headlines, club General Manager Giuseppe Marotta and Juventus are quietly going about the
business of fixing what really needed to be fixed.
Juventus FC have officially launched their Nike 2011/12 home and away kits today! The Bianconeri
are seventh place finishers from last season but with the unveiling of their new attire, via a
press conference at their new stadium, and on their website they are clearly looking to shoot for
the stars this coming season with more respect!
Alberto Aquilani may get his wish of staying in Serie A after all, as Fiorentina is tracking the
Liverpool man.
The midfielder spent last season on loan at Juventus and made it clear he wanted to remain in
Italy, but the Bianconeri did not take up their option to make the move permanent.
Milan, Inter and Roma were also mentioned, but with no clubs willing to buy, he looked to be
heading back to Anfield.
The door is certainly revolving at Juventus. Yesterday began with the club announcing the
arrival of Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal in Turin for a medical. Vidal is set to join the
Bianconeri from Bayer Leverkusen for a fee of 10.5 million euros.
And as Vidal enters, Felipe Melo exits.

Juventus announced today the signing of Montenegro international Mirko Vucinic, ending the clubs
long search for an impact striker. The former Roma star will cost the Turin club 15 million euro, a
significantly smaller fee than the club had been willing to pay for their previous targets.
Hamburg rejects Juve bid for Dutch winger
After signing striker Mirko Vucinic last week, Juventus has turned its attention towards filling
the hole the team has on the left wing. Over the last few days the focus of their search centered
on Hamburg's Eljero Elia and a deal was reportedly close to going through.

So far this summer, Juventus has spent money all over the pitch, already adding ten players to
their books as of this writing. But despite spending somewhere in the range of 70 million euros on
new transfer fees and making permanent loan deals from last season, the biggest buzz the Turin
giants created this offseason comes from a free signing.
AC Milan faced juventus and Inter Milan tonight in Bari and unfortunately the red and blacks did
not have victory over them. Antonio Cassano scored a goal for Milan but a late goal from Alessandro
Matri saw the Bianconeri win the first 45 minutes match by two goals to one. AC Milan later faced
Inter [.
Michael Bradley will look to shake off the jetlag and be in the starting eleven for Chievo Verona
when they host the first-place Bianconeri of Juventus in Verona on Sunday.
The worst kept secret at Juventus, well at least up until this week, was that this season would
be the last for the Bianconeri's legendary captain Alessandro del Piero. The 36 year old will say
goodbye to a team he has served for nearly two decades and hopefully the clubs is planning a bit
more pomp and circumstance then we have seen so far.
Serie A leaders Juventus came from 2 goals down to draw with Napoli at the San Paolo stadium in
a enthralling Serie A fixture last night. Goals from Hamsik and Pandev in the first half put the
host in the driving seat and in position to secure all points on offer before a resurgent
Bianconeri responded with goals from Matri, Marcelo Estigarribia and Simone Pepe saved Juventus
from suffering their first loss of the season.
Gazzetta dello Sport Milan assist for Juve The Rossoneri are stumped (2-0) by Bologna. Di Vaio and
Diamanti are goalscorers. Antonio Conte's team take on Roma in Rome at the stadio Olimpico tonight.
The Bianconeri could move four points ahead of their rivals. Luis Enrique hangs in the balance:
"Resignation?
Alberto Aquilani's agent expects Juventus to sign the Liverpool midfielder on a permanent
basis.
The Italy international is currently on a season-long loan at the Serie A club and has been one of
the stand-out performers this season.
Juve have the option of turning Aquilani's spell into a long-term deal and the 26-year-old's
representative, Franco Zavaglia, reckons the Bianconeri will honour their agreement with the
Merseysiders.
After the sad news that Fabio Quagliarella will be out for the rest of the season, Juventus got
a replacement in record time. It's Luca Toni who will be replacing Quagliarella (out for 4-6 months
with a torn cruciate knee ligament), the World Cup winner leaving Genoa to sign a one and a half
year contract with the bianconeri.
Although Diego Forlan was looking to end his career at Atletico Madrid, Serie A club, Juventus,
is now showing a growing interest in signing the Uruguayan striker for the Spanish club. As the
Bianconeri desperately look for a striker to fill the role, the Italian club thinks that it's
Forlan that can take over Fabio Quagliarella's spot.
Gazzetta dello Sport A Wasted Ibra Zlatan Ibrahimovic's most spectacular career goals was not
enough for Milan, who were pegged back 1-1 at Lecce Good thing there is Del Piero After two losses
a shot in the arm for the Bianconeri still in emergency mode (2-1). A moment of magic from
Alexandro and Aquilani punish Bari.
The Guardian is reporting that last season's treble winners Inter Milan are set to
begin a bidding war over Spurs winger Gareth Bale by offering the North Londoners £40m for his
services.
In addition to paying the huge transfer sum, it is being reported that the Serie A giants will
triple his current wages to £120,000 as club president Massimo Moratti is a huge admirer of the
player.
Guest writer Michael Morra provides a close look at the Juventus loss to visitors Udinese at the
weekend. Udinese, perhaps the league's most in-form side, traveled to Torino today in hopes of
continuing their January assault on Serie A. Conversely, Juventus was looking to get back on track
and dismiss the thought that they were undergoing yet another mid-season collapse.
Gazzetta dello Sport Crazy Inter, behind 2-0 against Palermo, saved by the debutante. Pazzini
scores 2 goals and draws the penalty for the 3-2. Julio Cesar decisive on Javier Pastore penalty
and Balzaretti. Hat-trick Cavani super Napoli. "We won't set limits on ourselves". Crisis Juventus
Marchisio illudes then Udinese flies and the jeers arrive.
fatti scivolare
Alessandro Matri made a winning visit to a stage he knows all too well as the Bianconeri finally
returned to winning ways at Cagliari's Stadio Sant'Elia and he has been rightly lauded for his
performance against a club he spent four years calling home. His transfer to Juventus, this display
and his tally of Serie A goals now at thirteen for the season has seen him.
