With Harry Redknapp failing to do anything but bring a smile to Spurs fans' faces since his
arrival, is this the year his favoured 4-4-2 may need to be replaced by a less exciting, but more
effective, 4-5-1 formation away from home in the Champions League?
With the minimum of disrespect intended to Young Boys, Tottenham will be playing far bigger, and
far more clinical, sides should progress through to the group stages.
Although the Manchester City of old would have been happy with a points total of five from their
first four games, the new mega-rich Manchester City know that they are already behind schedule in
their quest to win the Premier League this season.
With Joe Hart having shown in City's last game that he is human after all and fully capable of
making errors, and the rest of the side utterly failing to produce the kind of display that
everyone in football knows the players are capable of on an individual basis, manager Roberto
Mancini is a man who needs his side to pick up points – and in style.

look at some of the very basic mathematics of sports betting. The first thing we will look at is

With the Barclays Premier League standings beginning to resemble the final table many expect come
the end of the season, punters are starting to wonder where they can find value with regards to a
bet on who will be the eventual winners of the Premier League this year.
Although Chelsea are clearly looking like a side which is going to be extremely tough to overhaul
at the top of the table this season, they have also become an unappetising bet for many punters,
with few bookies now offering Chelsea betting odds that will generate a high rate of return for
those risking their hard earned cash.

Add in two weeks' worth of points, plus a much-needed cull at the bottom end of the table, and
this is what you're left with:
1. Davey Chicago – 84
2= LAWRO – 80
2= Ping Yang – 80
4. WHO ATE ALL THE PIES – 73

When United travelled to Turf Moor earlier in the season they suffered at the hands of the
Clatrets fine start to the season. Burnley ran out 1-0 winners that day, and fair play to them they
deserved it, but it should be a very different affair this time around.
Back then the Lancashire side were managed by the imposing and impressive figure of Owen
Coyle.
I have been notified about an online project that will be running throughout the World Cup by
bookmakers Coral.
They have set up a site called The Dugout, a place for debate by people like
yourselves, betting tips from experts and exclusive interviews with people such as Terry Butcher,
Martin Peters and Graham Poll.
Jean Laurens takes a look at some potential wagers for the new season.

As the Premier League clubs get closer to the start of a new season here are my predictions for
the upcoming season.
Finally one of the most drawn out transfer sagas of the summer has been completed, and it's one
that Villa fans can be pretty pleased about. James Milner has completed his move to Manchester City
for £18 million plus Stephen Ireland. With Ireland being valued close to £8 million it takes the
overall total of the deal to around the £26 million mark.
Just as it looked like England were recovering from their disaster at last summer's World Cup
another sordid kiss-and-tell story looks set to disrupt their preparations and potentially force
their star player out of the game.
Whatever Wayne Rooney did or didn't do, it is clear the press have been digging for stories ever
since the side's failure in South Africa and are determined to throw as much mud as the players as
possible.
This year's Champions League group stages get underway next week, but Spurs fans have been left
in a bit of a pickle. Can they enjoy the experience of seeing their side compete against Europe's
elite clubs, or will the desire to win turn it into a nerve racking experience?
With the group stages throwing Spurs right in at the deep end of top level European football,
supporters could be forgiven for wanting an easier introduction to the competition.
Do you enjoy soccer? Do you enjoy reading keywords about soccer? Do you enjoy reading redundant
and repetitive keywords about soccer? Or do you prefer football? Do you say football to sound cool
around your friends that don't say football, or only say football in terms of the American
sport?
Then this article is for you!
When West Brom signed Peter Odemwingie from Locomotiv Moscow before the transfer window closed, not
many would have been overly excited. Those with a keen eye will have seen Odemwingie represent
Nigeria in the African Cup of Nations as well as this summer's World Cup but not a great deal more.
The Uzbekistan born forward who has earned over 47 caps for Nigeria, the nation of his father's
birth, had been in Moscow for three years after a big money move from Lille.
Greeting friends. I hope you enjoy the new profitable and revamped Futfanatico, which is far

Wigan midfielder Charles N'Zogbia has once again made it clear that he sees his current club as a
springboard in his career.
The Frenchman has however admitted he made a mistake in the summer when he demanded a move from
Wigan.
It was a strange move from N'Zogbia, who knows that Wigan's policy is to never stand in the way of
any player looking to move to further their career.

I thought we should do some blogger reviews and what a way to start with something for the gambling
man on a Euro gambling day. SoccerAce.com is a site I came across about a year ago. I made a point
to bookmark it with my the other prediction sites on file. The Ace, whoever that might be, is quite
conservative and I like that.
Chelsea are currently in the midst of a defensive crisis and could head to Russia next week to face
Spartak Moscow minus captain John Terry, Alex and Jeffery Bruma.
Chelsea will be keen to extend their 100 per cent record in this season's Champions League when
they face Spartak, but Carlo Ancelotti may have to patch together a central defensive partnership
from whatever he has left of his injury-hit squad.

Having had to deal with several injuries to key players, with the loss of in-form winger Theo
Walcott a particularly bad blow, Arsene Wenger could well be forgiven for reigniting the club
versus country row after rumours started to circulate that Robin van Persie was all set to be
picked for international duty by Holland despite barely kicking a ball for Arsenal so far this
season.
This weekend's treble bet focuses on some regular goalscorers, and mixes lower league with European
elite. Ricky Lambert, Adam Le Fondre and Samuel Eto'o have been scoring goals regularly for years,
albeit at spectacularly different levels. Back all three to do the same at any time this weekend.
£5 on Eto'o, Lambert and Le Fondre [.

Over the last fifteen years, Manchester United have displayed a never-say-die attitude
epitomised best by that fateful evening against Bayern Munich in the 1999 Champions League final
and traditionally the last ten minutes of any match against them is either a game of keep-ball if
they're winning, or a non-stop siege if they're not.
After the England squad was announced most of the attention focused rights and wrongs of calling up
the talented but troubled Andy Carroll.
This meant the merits of Jordan Henderson's call-up to the squad were largely ignored. This is
probably because Henderson is one of the genuinely decent guys in English football and one who does
all his talking on the pitch for Sunderland, avoiding the off field issues that make the back
pages.

"My warrior woman. My Valkyrie. You'll always be mine, always and never. Never. The Fire,
baby. It'll burn us both... I fancy Bolton to win again, by the way."
The mighty big table after 12 weeks:
1. Davey Chicago – 101
2.
Wayne Rooney scored a match winning penalty on his first start since his contract saga. The
all-British clash at Ibrox was hardly a classic, with both sides producing brave defensive displays
and it was a late penalty that won it for the visitors with three minutes to go. The spot kick was
awarded after Steven Naismith's high boot caught Fabio in the area and Rooney stepped up to send
Allan McGregor the wrong way.

Sir Alex Ferguson has had a major influence on Premier League football over the years and has also
had a big say on the careers of youngsters up and down the country. However, he continues to
undermine his admirable actions by refusing to let bygones be bygones by granting the BBC access to
his pearls of wisdom once more.
