After ending November with a shock home loss to Crystal Palace in the Carling Cup quarterfinals,
Manchester United will look to open a busy and pivotal December with a win, as they visit Aston
Villa this weekend.
United are always a popular Premier League betting pick, and they'll be favored to take the
spoils in Saturday's showdown at Villa Park.
First bet this week covers the FA Cup Second Round games. With teams after a plum draw in the Third
Round, teams will be battling over three days this weekend. Qui sera sera and all that. Firstly,

United may not have had the best of weeks but the bookmakers make them a top priced 1.73 to
bounce back and notch an away victory over Aston Villa and the stats suggest they will do just
that.
Sir Alex Ferguson's young guns were frustrated in their 1-1 draw with Newcastle last weekend, as
Javier Hernandez's opener was cancelled out by Demba Ba following a controversial penalty decision
that the gaffer described as "shocking".
Check out the following "Live Odds" on the correct score tomorrow. This will also be updated with

The big winners in our Premier League bet of the week this week are Norwich. With Newcastle having
Coloccini, Taylor, Guthrie, Marveaux and Tiote out, their centre backs could be Danny Simpson and
James Perch. The Canaries at odds of 2.5 at a ground where they have beaten Sunderland, Swansea and
QPR seems generous.
Manchester United have endured a catastrophic week, crashing out of the Champions League and then
losing Vidic for the rest of the season due a knee ligament injury. They need to bounce back, and
the visit of Wolves to Old Trafford this weekend gives them a glorious opportunity of doing just
that. Bookmakers make than a best priced 1.
After winning an impressive £156 last week from our £55 stake, we look to again prize profit out
of the hands of the bookies. First bet concerns the Premier League, and backs Blackburn to win
consecutive home games for the first time in 46 years, or at least since Steve Kean took charge.

United travel to London to take on QPR this weekend, and are a top priced 1.5 with Betfred and
Paddy Power to win at a ground where they haven't lost for 22 years. They have won eight and lost
none of the last 11 meetings with the Hoops in all competitions and come into the game on the back
of thrashing Wolves 4-1 to extend their unbeaten run in the league to eight (won 5, Drawn 3).
The Premiership is entering one of the most crowded times of the year when teams are playing every
few days, things are getting interesting and statistics can change in the blink of an eye. In the
festive period many people like to have a bet on their favourite team so here is a little guide

United are back in full stride, and their game against Wigan at Old Trafford on Boxing Day should
really be a stroll in the park. Bookmakers are not surprisingly offering a best price of just 1.17
about them after impressive victories over QPR and Fulham in their last two games. Victory at
Craven Cottage meant that Sir Alex Ferguson's side have now won all 8 games against bottom-half
opposition this season, and only a brave or madman would back against them making it nine in his
one.
There are not many games on New Years Eve Eve, and I would advise to stay away from a home victory
at Anfield. Liverpool may have not lost at home this season, but with Andy Carroll the principal
striking option available, I would rather eat more turkey. Instead bet on Southampton to beat
Bristol City [.

United have enjoyed a terrific festive period and they are not surprisingly long odds-on at 1.14
to beat Premiership whipping boys Blackburn Rovers.
Sir Alex Ferguson's side come into this having registered back-to-back 5-0 wins over Fulham and
Wigan and it would come as no surprise to see them register a similar wide margin victory in this
clash.
