Coming off a rather horrible week, the Seattle Sounders got just what they needed with a win
over Cascadia Cup rivals the Vancouver Whitecaps. The winning goal was provided by none other than
Fredy Montero, who made a bit of a surprise appearance off the bench. A surprise only because he
figured to be starting.
It took less than two weeks from the time I wrote this piece for one of my links to Teh
MLSsoccer to go bad. The original link went here. The article now resides at this url. However,
Google has indexed the article on the beta "Ramos" server, in addition to the first url where the
article resided.
Hi all. Hope you like the new design, but more importantly, the new direction this site will
take over the summer and coming season.
I don't want to speak for the editor-in-chief, but we're hoping the slight change of direction
will breath some fresh life into this site that is going on its sixth year.

Footyblog.net is once again ahead of the game and is pleased to be one of the first to announce
that ExtraFootie, a new social networking site dedicated to football fans is going to be launching
in the UK this June.
The site will bring supporters from around the country together in a single location and offer a
range of social networking features, including news, forums, competitions, stats and a community
fan shop as well as mix of editorially-led and user-generated-content which will cover everything
from amateur to professional levels.
We at MLS Rumors are excited to offer something unique and exciting.: Live footy which is platform
independent.
While our motto is and always will be "For the time between the games." we recognize that
not everyone is able to watch the games. Sometimes this is due to being at work and only having an
internet connection, sometimes this is due to not having a specific channel package ie: Telefutura,
Fox Soccer Channel/Fox Sports en Espanol, etc.
Joshua MacFarlane from Beta Soccer did some research to find out who has the best online support
in MLS. The Revs ranked in at 13th, which is somewhat surprising given the number of Facebook fans
the team has. We're also among the leaders in youtube activity, oddly enough.
Project Ramos represents the continuing evolution of MLSsoccer.com with improvements in many
areas, including:
1) Improved homepage navigation, with direct links to our most popular content sections at the
bottom of every page and new content sections so that you can see all articles in a particular
series on one page.
The Seattle Sounders released a mobile app that initially seems redundant with the MLS app.
Except for a few notable differences. It works. It has live gameday audio for league and non-league
matches for the Senior team. It has fans interacting. It works. The app is being polished prior to
development on other platforms, but it is expected to be out during this season on at least one
other smart phone OS (either Android or Windows Mobile).
Everyday it seems that new supplements are appearing on the market. One group of nutritional
supplements that has received a lot of attention in the past few years is antioxidants. Vitamins
such as C, E and beta-carotene along with fruits like blueberries and strawberries are considered
powerful antioxidants.

Every so often we see a football site that draws a nod of admiration. The latest to elicit such
a response is the excellent Football Filter, an RSS based news and content aggregator.
http://footballfilter.com is the address - once there you can view football news categorised under
broadsheets, tabloids, blogs, podcasts, and more, and you can search by club.
Charles Itandje, 26, formerly of Racing Club de Lens, where he established his first-team
credentials, accumulating 170 first-team appearances in the league, has left Liverpool to join
Greek side Kavala on loan, according to the BBC.
The move, scheduled to be complete at the end of June 2010, was perhaps cemented in April last
season, when various members of Liverpool's congregation during the Hillsborough memorial service
complained about inappropriate behaviour from Itandje.
After missing the Beta Ethniki season opener due to a registration issue, Peter Philipakos made his
season debut for Ethnikos Piraeus as they visited Kerkyra in a clash of two promotion-hopeful
clubs.
When TechCrunch announced in June that a new social network for football fans was being launched in
beta, football aficionados flocked to the site to see what all of the fuss was about. A couple of
months later, EPL Talk has followed up the co-founder of Footbo.com to see how the site has evolved
since [.
You may recall my post a few weeks ago regarding the online viewing options for the Olympics
this year.
There will also be an online option. NBCOlympics.com will feature approximately 2,200 total
hours of live streaming Olympic broadband video coverage, the first live online Olympic coverage in
the United States.
