This weekend's headlines were stolen by Emmauel Adebayor even before a ball was
kicked. Saturday morning, Adebayor finally lashed out at his former club Arsenal,
moments before the Gunners kicked-off a challenging visit to the
Eastlands.
Saturday night was last Miami FC game of season and Burrito saw how Miami lose against the
Islanders. But the good thing was watching the Miami Ultras. They were loud and they had one hombre
with a cowbell who was great! The pinches Ultras also give Burrito's compadre Zach "Beowulf" Kirby
the players of the seasons award.
The royal club from Madrid have probably regretted selling excellent Dutchman Arjen Robben. The
new Bayern starter had a dream debut at Allianz Arena, where he got the chance in the second half
against current champions Wolfsburg and made the best possible use of it.
„Flying Dutchman" inherited the jersey with number 10 on it from his compatriot and
natural-born scorer, Roy Mackay.

Craig Bellamy is one of the maddest footballers ever but no
one can deny him that he is an absolute world-class player. People have often disregarded his
footballing qualities and chose to concentrate on his fiery temperament which is
basically what makes him such a great player.
Since Cristiano Ronaldo left MANCHESTER UNITED the team hasn´tfound that "extra" something that
gives them the edge over theiropponents. It is obvious, you lose the current Best Player in The
World, but with the hugh injection of cash from the sale (94M€) there is roomto buy a suitable
replacement.
Pablo Aimar is in superb form with Benfica this season and is receiving alot of acclaim
in the Portuguese media. This week he was the best player of the game in Benfica's 5-0 win over
Leixoes.
Hopefully, the great football moment that Aimar is in will carry over to the national team and
help Argentina qualify for the World Cup.
It is quite difficult to compare the career path of Fabio Capello and Marcello Lippi. Both have
been successful coaches and both hail from the Italian peninsula. They both coached Juventus of
Turin during their glittering managerial career, yet the similarities end there.
While Capello's playing career far surpasses that of Lippi's, the gap in accolades between the
two greatly diminishes once we begin to analyze their coaching resumes.
Jack Wilshere and Carlos Vela have done it again. And is anyone surprised? Wilshere controlled
the match and was, by far, the best player on the pitch in last night's 2-nil victory over
joint-leaders of the Championship, West Bromwich Albion, in the third round of the Carling Cup. The
youngsters' Carling Cup campaign opened at the Emirates and though not sold out, there was a
sizeable crowd there as always eagerly anticipating a look at the Arsenal starlets.
We should see a bit more of this in the near future: Gerrard scoring
Steven Gerrard has been used as a traditional, rather than attacking central midfielder so far this
season - curbing a bit of his attacking enthusiasm in Liverpool's lineup as he has stayed deeper
alongside Lucas while allowing Benayoun - Kuyt - Riera to roam in front of him and pick up
attacking returns.

It wasn't supposed to be like this. When Diego Maradona took the reins of Argentina, the former
star was supposed to re-energize a World Cup qualifying campaign that had taken some hits. With
four games in CONMEBOL qualifying left, and hardly the easiest schedule, could Argentina fail to
qualify for the World Cup?
Diego Maradona's term as Argenita's coach ran into deep trouble after his side lost a vital home
encounter against arch-rivals Brazil. Brazil defeated Maradona's boy by a score of 3-1 in Rosario.
Argentina lies in fourth place at this moment, but Columbia and Ecuador lies just two points
behind.
With the suspension of Kaka, Lucio, Luis Fabiano and Ramires and the injury of Robinho, Dunga
called for the match against Chile four players who play in Brazil it is important to remember that
those playing overseas could not be called because of the rules that FIFA has. With that, Dunga
called defender Andre Dias (Sao Paulo), midfielder Cleiton Xavier (Palmeiras) and forwards Diego
Tardelli (Atletico-MG) and Diego Souza (Palmeiras).
The Spanish Primera Division (La Liga) continued his season with four matches on Saturday
including Getafe v FC Barcelona and Espanyol v Real Madrid. Both Real Madrid and Barcelona are
expected to challenge for the La Liga title this season. The question remains how good will Real
Madrid be and do they have enough to challenge Barcelona this season.
Yossi Benayoun may have scored a hat-trick and set up another goal in today's 4-0 drubbing of
Burnley but manager Rafael Benitez attributes another player as Liverpool's show-stealer. Brazilian
youngster Lucas Leiva - heavily criticised by the Anfield faithful for an as-yet mediocre two years
in England - has his manager purring.
The season so far has had its ups and downs for the Reds. A shock defeat to Burnley certainly
wasn't in the script, as the world looks on intently to see how the reigning Premiership Champions
set about life after Ronaldo and ‘that' final in Rome, to defending their domestic crown to make
it four League titles in a row and surpass the record of their long time Merseyside rivals
Liverpool.
I know that that is a very bold statement but here's why I think Kaka is still the best. First
of, all as a Milan fan, I felt bad that we had to sell our star player just because the club was
experiencing serious debts. In my opinion, that should have never been a reason.
I think Mr.
It seems Lionel Messi isn't leaving Barcelona. Besides the fact that he stated as much after
signing a contract extension the other day.
"I want to spend all my career here, in Barcelona, if it's possible. I would love to finish
at Barcelona. This contract is a result of everything that happened last year and of what I have
done since coming into the first team.
Lucas Leiva is a bit of an enigma really. He was brought to the club as "the best young Brazilian
around" for a fee of £6m, which is quite a lot of money. He played a few times for the reserves,
and did OK. He has always been on the fringes of the first team, much to most fans annoyance. His
performances for The Reds up to February last season were not of Liverpool quality, and the fans
had got on his back.
Very dissapointing result, considering we had the match "in the bag".It was a very dfferent AEK
that started today's game from what we've been seeing recently. No
Blanco,Leonardo(rested)Scocco(suspended).Bajevic started with the diminutive Pavlis up front and in
truth he had little impact.Nemeth, playing just behind was dangerous and he set up Pavlis or
Manducca(not sure) 1 0n 1 on the 1st half, with the ball ending up in the stands.
So easy to hate in real life, so easy to love in the fantasy world
Here's what I
know:
Ashley Cole has 2 goals this season in 6 matches.
In 2008-2009, he scored 1 goal the whole season. In 2007-2008, he scored 1 goal the whole season. In
2006-2007, he scored 0 goals the whole season.

This World Cup Stars post features possibly the greatest player of all time, Diego Maradona. To
help you understand a little better there is a vocabulary list containing the words in
bold at the foot of this post
TRANSCRIPT
Pele may have won more World Cup titles, Ronaldo may have scored more goals, Lothar Matthäus
played more games but no one has dominated the World Cup as much as Diego Maradona.
Italy won against Georgia on the strength of two beautiful own goals by Kakha Kaladze. The
Georgians looked stunned by his stealth attacks.
The Milan defender must have been overwhelmed by the dominant Juve presence and decided to do
something about it. I think he just sabotaged his own Milan career.
Dimitar Berbatov has been very praiseworthy of his team mate Wayne Rooney, claiming that he is
the best player in the league.
Like every other United player these days, Berbatov has been asked how we will cope without
Cristiano Ronaldo, but our Bulgarian reckons we already have a player, in Rooney, who will add a
lot more to our team than Ronaldo did.
As CSKA Moscow goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev prepares for two potential encounters with United in the
up coming Champions League group stages, the Russian goalkeeper has one eye on linking up with the
Premier League champions in the not too distant future.
There was speculation the shot stopper could have joined United in the summer but despite a move
never materialising, the young keeper is still hopeful.
It is with little fanfare that our Champions League campaign kicks off this season, which is
somewhat misguided since tonight's match is perhaps the toughest in the group.
And as Standard Liege's first foray into the competition, everyone connected with the club
players and fans alike will be up for this one like no other.
The RBNY great remembers his time at Aston Villa and talks about his future in New York. He also
names Thierry Henry first when asked who was the best player he went up against in the EPL; more
fuel for the Henry-to-NYC speculation fire.
Thanks to Miguel for the clip.

It never ends does it? Maradona VS Pele Round 11024 has officially commenced!
Fortunately this time, King Pele picked his battles well and chose the perfect
moment to take a dig at The Dona - when the Argentineans are struggling to accept
his failures as national coach.
It's a question I have seen crop up a lot on various message boards over the last few weeks, so
is Boro's Adam Johnson the best player in the Championship?
There is no doubting that Johnson has had a superb start to the campaign, 5 league goals and 1
in the Carling Cup for a wide player is a superb return.
The Emperor of cunning makes former player look three inches tall!

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is unconcerned by Carlos Tevez's possible
absence ahead of the Manchester derby this weekend.
I've held off on using my wild card this week despite carrying a lot of dead weight. My dead weight
is all in the sub 6M range, so will be relatively easy to replace over the next 2-3 weeks, but for
now - I'm still stuck with two Wolves' players - Sylvan Ebanks-Blake (5.2M) and the woeful
Nenad Milijas (5.

Arsenal have done it again in the League Cup.
It wasn't the 6-0 that they had at this point last season, but a couple great late goals, both
involving Ramsey and substitute Carlos Vela, have Arsenal through to the next round. The 56,000
supporters in attendance and the rest of us watching on Arsenal TV Online (ATVO) enjoyed it
tremendously.
Lionel Messi
It has been claimed many times by many different people, Messi is quite simply "the man" as we
say here in the states. Messi continues to fuel Barca's ridiculous offense and who knows maybe
the club can potentially win the treble two straight seasons even though it had never been done by
any La Liga squad ever before last season.
Paul Scholes was United's best player on the park on Saturday, despite being up against the five
man midfield. All our play revolved around Scholesy with him spraying inch perfect balls to the
right and left.
He has today acknowledged that he doesn't score as often as he used to or would like to, but the
manager has asked him to remain in a more central role rather than going forward.
Bayern Munich vs Juventus:
Definitely the most anticipated match of this week's Champions League play, this is a meeting
that we have seen many times over the years. They do not usually live up to expectations as you can
see from their previous score lines:
19.10.04 Juventus 1 Bayern 0
3.
In the short time since Chelsea were found guilty of inducing Gael Kakuta to breach his contract
at RC Lens, and banned from the registration of new players until 1st Sept 2010 i.e. two transfer
windows away a lot has been written, blogged, said and alleged some fact, some fiction.
The CONMEBOL (South America) Region has a full set of matches on Wednesday as a few teams looked
to clinch spots in South Africa next summer. Brazil already was qualified and countries Chile and
Paraguay able to earn spots if they earned victories on Wednesday night. Other countries like
Argentina have been struggling and needed results to stay in good position with only two matches
left after the Wednesday matches.
Morning, it's a busy one so let's crack right into it.
Arsene's pre-match press conference took place yesterday instead of the Friday before a game but
as usual he had plenty to say. Starting with injuries ahead of the weekend's game he said Andrei
Arshavin would miss at least 3 games due to a recurrence of his groin injury.
New York were without their best player, Juan Pablo Angel, and KC had to hold on late, but KC came
away with 3 points against the New York Red Bulls last night in New York to finish their road trip
with 6 of 9 points. While that's the good news, the Wizards still had trouble finishing off
opportunities, and much like Wednesday dominated play but could not find multiple goals.
