January 12th, FIFA is set to announce who the best footballer on the planet is; the World Player of
the Year award will be handed out.

Although this January's transfer window has been relatively quiet, it appears movement is on the
horizon. The latest report indicates that Gary Megson and Bolton are ready to meet Fulham's
valuation of midfielder Jimmy Bullard. Bullard, who has perhaps been Fulham's best player so far,
has only 18 months remaining on his contract.
Is it just me, or are Manchester City not only struggling on the pitch, but they are they also

Kaka - to join the club, City should be busy wrapping up deals for some of the world's other

Middlesbrough manager Gareth Southgate today reiterated his desire to keep winger Stewart Downing
at the Riverside. Despite not having the best season ever, Southgate believes it is not in the
club's or the player's best interest to move just yet. Downing has clearly been affected by
transfer speculation in recent weeks, and Boro fans are hoping the issue can be resolved as soon as
possible.
I'm sure lots of people are stoked that Sacha netted his first, second, and third goals for the
national team. Sacha played a great game from starting whistle to the final. But he was not the
star of the first half in my eyes. Yeah he scored an absurdly amazing free kick, and later buried a
PK. But who earned that PK, who was EVERYWHERE defensively in the first half, who was streaking
down the right wing with unhumanlike speed.
