Edson Buddle is back in a LA Galaxy uniform. The deal to bring back one of the league's all-time
best goal-scorers happened today.
Buddle rejoins the Galaxy after being released from his contract with FC Ingolstadt 04 on
Tuesday. Los Angeles maintained his MLS rights following his free transfer to Ingolstadt last
January.

Newcastle got the job dope thisd afternoon against QPR when a good Leon Best goal after 37
minutes , his 4th of the season and his first since September, was enough for Newcastle to
get all 3 points as the back four again looked very solid. Newcastle started the game very
slowly in front of a crowd just under 50,000.

used the event to help their stock while others did not.
In a class dominated by attacking talent, several forwards and creative midfielders enjoyed
strong combines, showcasing their goal-scoring and playmaking abilities.

It wasn't a particularly strong field for one reason or another but, after whittling their
10-strong shortlist down to a final three, FIFA saw fit to hand their Puskas Award for the best
goal scored during 2011 to Santos wunderkind Neymar for his fine fleet-footed 'slalom' effort
against Flamengo back in July.

Forget Lionel Messi, it was all about Homare Sawa's
kimono (traditional Japanese costume) at the FIFA Ballon D'or awards in Zurich last night!
The captain of the Japanese women's team and winner of the FIFA Women's Ballon
d'Or lit up the stage with that outfit which should make her countrymen and women
extremely proud today.
Brazilian teen superstar Neymar could not hide his joy when his name was called out as the
winner of the FIFA Puskas award for the best goal scored in 2011. The 19 year old won the award
after more than 1.5 million internet users and football experts voted in favour of his sublime solo
effort against Fluminense
Speaking to the press after the ceremony, Neymar could not hide his joy and excitement at
winning the prestigious award calling it the best goal he has ever scored.
Lionel Messi won the FIFA Balon d'OR for the second consecutive time after the inception of the
award last year. With this victory he has won the FIFA World Player of Year and Balon d'Or for the
third consecutive time. It was a no btainer from the time the three man shortlist was
announced.
The debate whether or not he's the greatest ever may never be resolved, but he is certainly well
on his way to being the most decorated. The gentleman from Rosario won his third consecutive Ballon
d'Or at the ripe old age of 24.
And he did it showing up in purple velvet.

U.S. Soccer released its "Best of" nominee lists for 2011 (link to Facebook voting). Categories
from "Male and Female Athletes of the Year", "Best Goal", "Best Fan Moments" and the like are all
up for grabs.
The one that concerned us the most was the "Best Twitter" account which featured loads of USMNT and
USWNT players and a few big media accounts.
This is probably the best goal of the century, scored by Sun Hei's Festus Biase during his sides

I'm willing to venture, with reasonable confidence, that this - Gerardo Masini's angled

today...

It barely makes up for the chaotic week gone by where Manchester United were knocked out of the
Champions League, where Nemanja Vidic was ruled out for the season and where the author of this
post dropped the last piece of his birthday cake (Belgian chocolate, thanks for asking) on the
kitchen floor but the 4-1 win over Wolves goes some way in reassuring fans even those who have had
to experience an endless line of shoddy birthdays (naming no names) that things aren't totally
bad.

At Ewood Park on Saturday, Blackburn fed the Yak 'til he almost burst, but he indeed score a

Heather O'Reilly is competing against some of the best footballers of today for
the FIFA's Puskas Award, which recognises the 'Best Goal of the Year'. Of course, everybody has
their own interpretation of what constitutes a "great goal". Neymar, Lionel Messi, Rooney,
Giovani dos Santos and Ibrahimovic have all scored some of the most
beautiful ones this year, but so has Heather!
Messi, Ibrahimović, Neymar, Rooney and O'Reilly, just half of the names that are up for the FIFA
Puskás Award to determine the best goal of the year from around the world.
U.S. midfielder Heather O'Reilly's strike from distance against Colombia in the USA's second group
match of the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup earned her that honor.
You can now vote for the FIFA Puskás Award for the best goal of the year. The voting begun on
Thursday the 18th November and will run until 5th December 2011 when the three most voted for goals
will be made public.
The award was named in honour of the legendary Rela Madrid forward Ferenc Puskas who scored 84
goals for his country in 85 appearances and an amazing 514 in 529 appearances through out his club
career.
FIFA have released their nominations for the Puskas Award, which awards a prize to the best goal of
the year. Cristiano Ronaldo won the inaugural award in 2009, and last year's prize went to Hamit
Altintop. FIFA released a statement saying: Every goal has been chosen for its aesthetic quality
and the importance of the [.
FIFA hands every year, along with the Golden Ball Award, it "Best Goal of the Season" prize that is
officially named "FIFA Puskas Award". FERENC PUSKAS was the legendary Hungarian forward who became
World famous with the REAL MADRID team of the 60s & notching up an incredible 680 goals in his
career.
Luis Suarez today spoke of his delight after being named the Standard Chartered Player of the Month
for an unprecedented third time in succession.
The Uruguay striker scooped October's accolade after tallying an incredible 70 per cent of your
vote in a poll on this website.
Jose Enrique was named as runner-up, collecting 13 per cent of the vote, while Andy Carroll came
third with four per cent.
