Mock Draft in an attempt to give people a sense of how things just might shake out when teams start
making their selections in Kansas City four weeks from now.

Both sides have won two of the last six meetings and drawn the other two. They each won at
each others place last season and will be well matched.
For those looking to spot Americans in action overseas, check the Europa League—it's
televised, great teams abound and, well, there are Americans, too. The elusive soccer grail, as it
were. Europa League matches offer rare chances to see national team expats competing against
high-caliber opponents on a real live TV.

There are two weeks left in MLS with a full slate of games each week to earn enough fantasy
points to finish at the top spot in SBI's fantasy division.
The playoff picture is starting to clear up as many teams are beginning to clinch spots, while
others have dropped out.
The return of Steven Gerrard to the Liverpool first team has been
understandably met with excitement from Reds fans. With the skipper back in the fold, Liverpool
have one of the best players in the Premiership back on their teamsheet.
However, the question is being asked in some quarters as to where exactly Gerrard fits into the
Liverpool team.
Does anyone want to win the Eastern Conference?
The constant shifting in the East has as many as five teams in position to lay claim to the
conference's top seed. Sporting Kansas City looks like the best bet of the bunch after a convincing
win over the Houston Dynamo put the club level on points atop the conference table with Columbus
and has the team up to No.
Liverpool's youngsters continue to carry the club's flag in Europe for the season, travelling to
Molde in hopes of getting their first points of the inaugural NextGen Series after a disappointing
opener. The young Reds started well but failed to get on the scoresheet after periods of sustained
pressure and chances created against Sporting Club, and the visitors converted two first-half
chances en route to an impressive 3-0 victory.
The NextGen Series continues in Norway at 6:00PM BST/1:00PM EST

Borussia Dortmund v Arsenal
This looks like a tough start for the Gunners, especially on the back of their heavy defeat
at the hands of Manchester United in the Premier League. Current Bundesliga Champions
Borussia Dortmund are quietly fancied to do well in this season's Champions League
following some excellent performances in their domestic league last season.
When it comes to winning a fantasy football championship, the running back position separates
the men from the boys. If you can roll out three quality running backs on your fantasy football
squad, you have a good chance to win each week. Here are our 2011 fantasy football running back
rankings:
1.
On the final weekend of a major international tournament, the consolation match is usually the best
bet for open, entertaining soccer. If for no better reason than third place sounds a lot cooler
than fourth place, the battle for the bronze is often times the best. Not on Saturday.
Mexico-France was a fine opening act, but Brazil-Portugal was the final for good reason.

Eddie Johnson's return to Major League Soccer was announced before it was signed, sealed and
delivered, and as a result, his return is no longer a certainty or even probable at all.
"We had reached agreement, subject to formal documents," MLS executive vice president Todd
Durbin said after it was revealed that the deal to put Johnson in the league's allocation order and
assign him to a team was not on the table anymore.
To kick off the Premiership opening weekend (Two words: Suh Weet!), here's a little something
that should get the conspiracy theorist among you up in arms. ... and something that I imagine has
already been deployed for security purposes in stadiums across England. In fact, I'd bet my prized
1972 edition of the seminal book Soccer Skills and Tactics.
With the smashing success of Sounder at Heart's MLS Fantasy League, we've been asked by a few
people if we were planning to host a EPL fantasy league, as well. Sadly, we will not. Dave and I
are hardly experts and it would seem a little dishonest to host a league with an inherent promise
of providing updates and sharing tips.

Hollo's back
Two sides that lit up the early months of the last two Premier league campaigns but both now
licking their wounds.
After never replacing Roy Keane, Manchester United probably can't afford not to replace Paul
Scholes, but there is a possibility of that happening if things remain as they are. Maybe Anderson
was seen as a Scholes successor when he was bought four years ago but he hasn't made the grade.
David Gill has admitted we are looking at other players to bring in, with Wesley Sniejder, Samir
Nasri and Luka Modric amongst the players who have been linked to the club.
" I'll persuade the Israelis to give up Jerusalem if you come back to the hotel with me"
The corollary. Sepp Blatter, FIFA president for life!
Mohamed Bin Hammam is banned from all footballing activity for life as the FIFA ethics (now that
is an oxymoron) committee finds him guilty of bribery charges as feared but we all know who is
smiling through all this.
Liverpool Agree Aly Cissokho Fee
Liverpool have agreed a fee with Lyon for the transfer of Aly Cissokho, it is understood. Having
missed out on Gael Clichy to Man City earlier this summer, the Reds turned their attentions to his
compatriot and are close to sealing a deal worth around £9m.
Kaylyn Kyle is easy on her feet
The French were impressive against Nigeria with their short passing game initiated and
controlled by Louisa Necib and Camille Abily. Their in form striker Marie-Laure Delie was able to
make a 56' breakthrough with the match's only goal.
Today, they take on Christine Sinclair and Canada.

Ashley Young's arrival at Old Trafford has been met with mixed reaction amongst Manchester
United fans. At around £15m some say he's good value English talent when compared to the £20m
Liverpool paid to bring in Jordan Henderson from Sunderland, but could he end up being a £15m
bench warmer?
Today's game against Romania marks Ronaldo Lima's final departure from the
seleção brasileira. He'll still be with Corinthians for the next few months and has
promised fans of the Timão that he won't be leaving till the end of the year. Before he
left, he gave a really nice press conference where he lauded Neymar and said he
was confident of the youngster's future.
Charlie Adams and Charles N'Zogbia: Who will be the saviour?
Russian roulette. Five clubs battle it out to stay up in the Premiership. Birmingham, Blackburn,
Blackpool, Wolves, and Wigan The killer B's vs the killer W's for the phonetically inclined. Wigan
stay or we gonna fall?
The emotional favourite for the neutrals is Blackpool obviously.

"The bloody weather forecast"
A term that has been used frequently this season by myself, and no doubt many other football fans
throughout the country. After the glorious weather we have had of late which included yesterday
(Friday 6th May) here in Leicester, it should have turned overnight with the forecast of showers
and / or prolonged heavy periods of rain during today.

This is the first of what should be plenty of weekly "doubles" for the Seattle Sounders,
although it's just one of a handful that includes two MLS dates. Considering how poorly we at
Sounder at Heart have fared in predicting lineups, I doubt this particular handicap is going to
make it any easier.

Salem coach Jason Byzewski never wanted to unleash Kharlton Belmar on opponents this way.
But when central midfielder Bryan Causey went down in the preseason with a broken ankle, Salem's
dreams of playing with style faded, and its best bet became getting the ball to Belmar as quickly
as possible.
Milan, Munich, Barcelona, Madrid, just four great names that spring to mind when United fans
think of European away trips. Nearly 100,000 in the Camp Nou, a rocking San Siro, the sight of the
red lights that surround the Allianz, sights you would normally be seeing when you follow the reds
in Europe, but just over 40,000 at Stamford Bridge just isn't quite the same.
This week we start with MLS Miami expansion news as ESPN is reporting that MLS to Miami might be
closer than we thought.
Talk is heating up that Beckham will, when his contract expires after this season,
execute the clause in his contract that allows him to purchase an MLS expansion team, and that
Miami is the best bet.

Tottenham Hotspur supporters have a lot to be proud of based on their team's performance Tuesday
night against AC Milan after their crucial 1-0 victory at San Siro. But despite playing AC Milan
off the park in the first half, and winning the psychological warfare in the second half as well as
keeping Milan at bay, Tottenham's qualification into the Champions League round of eight is far
from certain.
The January transfer window is one that is usually filled with speculation, and on deadline day,
disappointment. Beckham back in the Prem? Didn't think so. But this January window was almost as
exciting as Sky made it out to be. The big money moves were Darren Bent to Villa for £18m, a week
after he pledged his allegiance to Sunderland.
With the SuperDraft quickly approaching, the New England Revolution has plenty of holes they
will be looking to fill. While it's hard to imagine the Revs grabbing an instant starter with
anything other than their first-round pick (6th overall), the team should be able to add needed
depth in some key areas.
The Daily Mirror is reporting today that Alan Pardew will hold transfer talks with the Newcastle
hierarchy today, and it looks like Spurs' winger David Bentley is top of his wanted list. Niko
Kranjcar maybe this players is Newcastle's best bet? The only problems we see with getting Spurs'
players in the January window [.

First things first.. Here's wishing a super happy new year to Gooners world over! 2010 was an
exciting year to be a Gooner..
For me the year can be summed up under the following 5 pointers -
- Horrific injury to Ramsey (proving the -'ve football teams play against us)
- Comeback against Barca (proving our resolute)
- Wenger staying defiant despite getting jeered by the Old Trafford faithful (proving his faith
in the ‘Arsenal Way')
- Standing ovation for Dudu at the Emirates (proving our class)
- Win against Chelsea (proving our belief)
That apart, there have been several moment which made us gasp in despair, jump in joy & go
beserk in ecstasy.
