Thanks to Negar Mottehedeh, and via a post from Enduring America, here are two videos from a
January 6th game between Iran and Singapore, during which Iranian fans chanted anti-government
slogans "Ya Hossein, Mir Hossein," in support of opposition leader Mousavi in the 1st video, and
"Marg Bar Dictator," ("Down with the Dictator,") in the second.
Injury time, Anfield Road end, penalty kick. But while seven days ago it nudged Rafael Benitez and
Liverpool towards the precipice, last night the same scenario gave confirmation they are not
willing to surrender their campaign without a fight.
Last week's FA Cup exit to Reading, followed by the dramatic but damaging draw with Stoke City, had
prompted the Anfield manager to admit their clash with Tottenham Hotspur represented a
make-or-break encounter in his team's season.
Paul Scholes strike leveled this pulsating Carling Cup tie and gave the Old Trafford side the
advantage on away goals. Manchester United were good value for their lead and they had Shay Given
at full stretch on a number of occasions.
A Michael Carrick shot from six yards appeared to seal the victory with a quarter of an hour
remaining but a Carlos Tevez strike appeared to taking the tie to extra time but a goal from Wayne
Rooney in injury time gave United the win.
Accrington Stanley boss John Coleman has extended the loan of Liverpool's highly-rated goalkeeper
Dean Bouzanis until January 30.
The Australian born stopper joined the League Two side in November as an emergency signing
following a knee injury to regular number one Ian Dunbavin.
Bouzanis has appeared in five games for the Reds and is sure to be handed a starting berth by
Coleman when he takes his side to Lincoln on Saturday.

Luis Fabiano of Sevilla was not a terrible player by any means last season. In fact his squad
finished with top four results and was rewarded a Champions League berth this season. And
Fabiano didn't play terribly either. In 21 starts the Brazilian scored eight goals and was among
the best offensive performers on his third place squad.
With the weather, the postponements, etc it's not worth sacrificing points to make changes this
week your transfers in may well not even play. Yes I'm looking at you -4 points Chris Baird... So,
we've only one selection for you today, but it's a good one...
And it is...
Abou Diaby has already played a pivotal role for Arsenal this season, pulling out a couple of
big performances and high scoring gameweeks.
Hercules Gomez (yes, that one), left, made his Puebla debut Sunday in Carson, but couldn't stop
his team going down to defeat. Here he vies with the ball with Monterrey's Jose Maria Basanta. (AP

Monterrey take final InterLiga berth Sunday in the nightcap at Home Depot Center.
The early dud game.
Liverpool forward Fernando Torres insists the best is still to come from the under-performing
Reds.
The 25-year-old Spanish star has been frustrated by injury so far this season, although his
goals-to-games ratio in the Premier League is still outstanding.
Torres has netted 12 times in 14 league starts in what has been a poor campaign for Rafa Benitez's
side, who currently lie seventh in the table.

Today it has come to light that we have had a bid rejected for Manchester United shotstopper Ben
Foster. Whilst this is certainly one of the more prudent moves that has been mooted this window,
completion of the move would cast into speculation the respective futures of our current
keepers.
Working out how best to combine his forwards may prove a headache for Claudio Ranieri, but he's
unlikely to be complaining.
Luca Toni begins to repay Totti's faith as Roma eye Champions League berth.
After deliberating for nearly two months, FIFA announced on Monday that French striker Thierry
Henry will not be handed down any disciplinary action for his blatant hand ball that effectively
secured France a berth in this summer's World Cup.... Read more

African Cup of Nations 2010 Semi Final
Goal: Asamoah Gyan 21'
This West African derby offered Nigeria a real chance to exact revenge for their 2-1 quarter final
defeat against neighbours and rivals Ghana at AFCON 2008. But once again, the Super Eagles failed
when it mattered.
