Angry Queens Park Rangers fans started protesting because of all that's been going on in the
club for the past two years. Since the new owners, Flavio Briatore and Bernie Ecclestone arrived,
many things have changed at Loftus Road stadium in the West London, but the most

It's August 2007 and a west London football team going nowhere suddenly take a severe twist to
become the richest club in the world. A multi-billion pound takeover by Bernie Eccleston, Flavio
Briatore and Lakshmi Mittal changed the footballing landscape at QPR but translating these riches
to the playing field has taken slightly longer.

By Chris Wright
With QPR sitting on top of the Championship pile after enjoying a faultless start to the season
under Neil Warnock, it seems that the slightly more physically repulsive
half of the R's co-ownership duo (the other being malnourished Formula One hobgoblin Bernie
Ecclestone) is already turning his thoughts to the Premier League.

The Curious Case of QPR
For anybody whoever dabbled in the thrashy delights of Sky One's Dream Team, and the tumultuous
experiences of Harchester United FC, people derived entertainment from the bizarre plots the club
found themselves in. Whether you found artistic value in the show, or savored it in a tongue in
cheek way (me, to be honest), the clubs fortunes were entertaining.
