The Columbus Crew have a new head coach, and several new faces, but it has been many of the returning players who have stepped up to help the team get off to a good start.

Count Bernardo Anor among that group. The young midfielder has stepped in nicely to help fill the void left by the retirement of Eddie Gaven, and his two goals on Saturday not only helped the Crew post an impressive 2-1 win against the Philadelphia Union.

Union falter on a brace by Bernardo Anor, lose 2-1.

Columbus has still never lost a home opener. Brian Carroll returned from injury, but even that wasn't enough to help the Union, as they lost 2-1 to the Crew in Columbus off of a brace by Bernardo Anor.

Jack McInerney was almost gifted a goal at 6 minutes off of a sloppy pass by the Crew defense, but the Columbus center backs did well to pinch it off.
