Fans of Chelsea, Liverpool and er, Aston Villa (maybe), will all no doubt be disappointed by the
news that Mr. Special One has decided to stay with La Liga champs Real Madrid for another four
years by way of signing a two-year contract extension up until 2016.
Jose Mourinho has signed a new contract with Real Madrid that will keep him at the Bernabeu
until 2016.
A statement on the Madrid website read:
"Real Madrid and Jose Mourinho have reached an agreement to extend the coach's contract with the
club until June 30, 2016.

For the better part of my adult life, I've been around football. It's an all-consuming vacuum of
sense and reality which has rewarded me with magical displays of individual and collective
brilliance. As a team sport, football generally bestows plaudits on those select few men who seem
to strike a fine balance between other-worldly talent and self-actualized ignorance.
Real Madrid celebrated their 32nd La Liga trophy in the grandest way
possible last night glamour, fireworks, white confetti and an
opera show! You know it isn't a Madrid party unless Placido
Domingo proudly belts out the Madrid anthem in a Los Blancos jersey and the
Three Portuguese Musketeers get onto the microphone.
Real Madrid beat Mallorca 4-1 in their final match of the season to become the first club in
Europe's four biggest domestic leagues to reach 100 points for a season. After reaching such an
impressive milestone, the club held a lavish title celebration on the pitch at the Bernabeu that
was a cross between the final scene in Star Wars and the closing ceremony for the space
olympics.
There's eight matches on the last matchday of the season in the Spanish Primera Division (La
Liga) on May 13, 2012.
Espanyol v Sevilla
Both are in the middle of the table and in no danger of relegation. Sevilla could still qualify
for a Europa League spot but won't be favored on the road in this match.
While the title race has been decided, there is still the matter of a Champions League spot, two
Europa League berths and two relegation places are to be claimed or avoided in what promises to be
a nerve-wracking finale to the La Liga season on Sunday.
Here are some of the stories to follow Sunday in Spain.

Real Madrid's Summer 2012 Transfer Targets - originally posted on Soccerlens.com
Jose Mourinho has a successful season in charge of Real Madrid. The Spanish side have become the
deserved winners of the La Liga and fell just short in the Champions League.
Despite this, the Portuguese manager will look to strengthen his squad even further going into
next season, as Madrid seek European glory.

File this under 'curio' but here's a little snippet of former Liverpool man Xabi Alonso keeping
former Chelsea man Jose Mourinho abreast of the score in the FA Cup Final while sat on the bench in
the Bernabeu...
Granted it's not the most interesting clip, but anything Xabi is okay by me.

They couldn't do it at the Bernabeu, but they did it
anyway! Real Madrid finally picked up their 32nd Spanish
League title after their 3-0 win over Bilbao at the San Mames last night.
It was their first La Liga since 2008 and the Los Blancos celebrated it in the most
cliché manner possible in football by singing Queen's
'We are the Champions' on their flight back to
Madrid.

A Full Bernabeu beholds a Ronaldo Goal - What a Magnificent Sight!3 Points down, 3 Points to go: for our 32nd La Liga Title. After Ronaldo's fabulous opener and
Benzema's brace last night, we needed a Barca loss to Rayo to get our hands on the Trophy. Last
night however, Barca made Rayo ‘pay for the broken plates': thus, we are now left with the
arduous task of winning the title at one of Spain's Football Temples, Athletic Bilbao's San Mames
– current home of Pep Guardiola's mentor (Marcelo Bielsa) this Wednesday.
Now that Barca coach Pep Guardiola has announced he'll be leaving at the end of
the season, he can expect to find photographers and spies of Abramovich hiding in
the bushes outside his home for the next three months. After their Champions League elimination in
Chelsea's hands on Tuesday, the Blaugranas set things right again with their
7-0 mauling of Rayo Vallecano last night.
Real Madrid and Barcelona returned to their winning ways on Sunday after a torrid week which
saw them both exist the Champions League. Real Madrid were 3-0 winners over Sevilla at the Bernabeu
while Barca thrashed Rayo Vallecano 7-0 to keep their slim title hopes alive.
Madrid's win keeps them only one game away from their first League title in 5 years!
It was announced on Friday, April 27, 2012 that Pep Guardiola will not be returning as manager
of FC Barcelona for next season. There were rumors recently of Guardiola possibly moving to Chelsea
or another team in the EPL.
The decision by Guardiola is right after a couple disappointments in Barcelona's season.

Since Tuesday night's drunken tweeting went down so well, we felt almost obliged to sneak out of
the office early and do it all again.

Real Madrid vs Bayern Munich - A classic. 90 minutes remains in Mourinho's
quest to ignite Madrid's everlasting dream of winning a 10th Champions League title. A trophy which
Heynckes conquered for Los Blancos in 1998, ending a 32 year wait.
As Bayern Munich prepare for an intense second leg of their UEFA Champions League semifinal away
to Real Madrid, star midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger has warned his teammates to avoid getting
yellow cards that would jeopardize their involvement in a potential final appearance at the Allianz
Arena.
Il Chelsea sogna la finale, la Spagna invece un bel Clasico in finale di Champions (dopo quello che
c'è stato sabato scorso nella Liga e che ha visto trionfare il Real di Mourinho). Ma perchè si

There's no denying that the two best teams on the planet are about to go head to head in another
exhilaratingly exciting El Clásico, managed by revolutionary men, armed with an elite
selection of Spanish world champions, sponsored by the two leading sports brands featuring two
electrifying forwards, the two best players in the world.

El Clasico is one of the few events in the world in which the result routinely lives up to the
hype, and Saturday will see another chapter written in the storied rivalry.
With a title on the line and both teams looking to recover from surprising UEFA Champions League
defeats, Real Madrid travels to Barcelona holding a four-point advantage in La Liga with five games
to play.
Real Madrid became the unwilling victims of an incident on Tuesday, when mysterious thieves
crept into the Bayern Munich visitors' dressing room and stole three boots
belonging to Mesut Ozil, Karim Benzema and Ronaldo. Of course,
it's not so funny when you're actually in the situation and kick-off is only moments away.

"Yep, still there"
Real Madrid have lodged an official UEFA complaint about the security at the Allianz Arena after
a thief broke into the dressing rooms and stole six pairs of boots and a handful of shirts before
last night's game against Bayern Munich.

A last-minute Mario Gomez snaffler ensured Bayern Munich will be going into the second leg at
the Bernabeu next Wednesday with a one-goal advantage, with the Germans winning the first leg 2-1
in the Allianz Arena last night.
Franck Ribery opened the scoring in the 17th minute, thunking a half-volleyed shot past an
unsighted Iker Casillas when Toni Kroos' corner fell kindly amongst a crowded penalty area with
Mesut Ozil equalising for Real, clipping home Ronaldo's cross from about 30cm out.
Through Ryu's Lens: Bayern Munich vs. Real Madrid.
The Champions League always provides an immense backdrop, with an abundance of characters. These
characters are usually met with excessive amounts of talent, yet this match at the Allianz Arena
got ugly.
German side Bayern Munich won the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semifinals with a 90th
minute Mario Gomez goal.
It was a strong start for the visitors, Real Madrid, who had chances early but couldn't find the
back of the net. Bayern, who played more of a counterattacking style early, were organized
defensively and prevented most chances.

Bayern Munich are one step closer to playing a Champions League Final in their home stadium as
they dispatched Real Madrid 2-1 in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League semifinal.
Mario Gomez scored from very close range off a Philipp Lahm cross in the 89th minute to break a
1-1 deadlock.

Despite the dominance Real Madrid have exhibited in this season's UEFA Champions League,
speculation lingers that their route to the semifinals has something to do with poor opposition
along the way.
Jose Mourinho's men have yet to play a team from England, Spain, Germany or Italy in their 10
UEFA Champions League matches, but all that will change when they travel to the Allianz Arena to
take on German powerhouse Bayern Munich in the opening leg of their semifinal tie.

Bayern Munich vs Real Madrid : 20.45CET
Nothing screams "BLOCKBUSTER" more than the Champions League

have been a handful of Bayern-Real playoffs in the last decade, but tonight's
edition will be exceptionally gripping because both sides are simply
desperate for the win.
Real Madrid won again at the Bernabeu and FC Barcelona earned a narrow win at Levante in the
Spanish Primera Division (La Liga) on April 14, 2012.

Welcome to La Liga Lunes, our weekly wrap on Spanish football! We'll start off
with Valencia, who held Madrid to a goalless draw at the Bernabeu
an impressive feat which cements their third spot in the table. Sure, a whopping 26
points separates them from Barcelona right now, but at least they're one point ahead of
local rivals, Levante.
Real Madrid hosts Valencia, Sevilla faces Athletic Bilbao, and much more in the Spanish Primera
Division (La Liga) on Sunday, April 8, 2012.
Levante v Atletico Madrid
Both teams are battling for a spot in Europe including Levante who could move up to 4th place

five away matches.

Spotted after Real Madrid's mauling of APOEL at the Bernabeu on Tuesdaywednesdaywhenever,
Cristiano Ronaldo being temporarily put out by a particularly unflattering caricature of him held
aloft by an autograph-hunting fan...
To be fair, it's not nearly the most harrowing depiction of Ronaldo we've ever seen, with that
title firmly belonging to a float at the 2009 Portugal Carnaval.
