Gameweek 24 with it double matches went very well, my tips for fantasy premier league performed
admirably, and that's always nice. I even hit the 100 points mark I was after with 113 points.
But it's again time for another gameweek, and let's see if I can succeed as well this week as the
previous.

Transfer rumours are a dime a dozen. Very few have genuine substance so they should always be taken
with a huge amount of cynicism. Yet they cannot be completely ignored in case there's the

Carlos Tevez has been crucial to City's position in the table this season and is currently the
2nd highest scorer in the league, behind Dimitar Berbatov.
However, against Manchester United at Old Trafford, you wouldn't have known he was even on the
pitch, with the inexperienced Chris Smalling ensuring he was out of the game.
Here's a reminder from Sir Alex Ferguson why all transfer gossip must be taken with a large grain
of salt. "There's always speculation, people linked us with 112 players one year and we only

Along with the my posts about the two key players for Chelsea against United this coming Sunday in
David Luiz and Didier Drogba, I am reposting this article I wrote before the United games before,
because they are still relevant and I believe key in how to beat United on Sunday.
I have had a look at Manchester United and have come up with some key weaknesses in their game that
we need to exploit.
Latest Transfer betting odds The one thing Manchester United do not need right now is another
winger and yet if we believe the latest transfer rumours Ashley Young could be heading to Old
Trafford. The Villa winger has been strongly linked to several clubs including Liverpool, but
reports claim United are the favourites to capture the England player in a reported £16m move.
Young midfielder Tom Cleverley has been coming along in leaps and bounds. In the next couple of
seasons he may well become the 'new' Scholes

Back in December the Premier League presented Dimitar Berbatov with an award to recognise him
being the first striker to 10 goals.
Three months later, Berbatov has been given an award for being the first striker in the league
to 20 goals.
Within those 20 goals, he's scored three hat-tricks, joining only Alan Shearer and Ruud Van
Nistlerooy in a list of just three players to manage that feat in one season.
You can cross off another one Mr Ferguson. The marathon is fast approaching the finish line, the
winning post looms large and Manchester United still holds a good enough lead that should win Sir

So Spurs fans have finally discovered David Beckham's reasons for training with Spurs. We were
all of the opinion that he was teaching Aaron Lennon how to hit the perfect cross, whilst
explaining to David Bentley that looks alone won't win competitive matches.
It would appear though that he was actually on a scouting mission for L.

The squad that flew out to face Marseille has been revealed. Have you seen it? The French
champions must be licking their chops...
Squad:Van der Sar, Kuszczak, Lindegaard; Vidic, O'Shea, Brown, Rafael, Fabio, Evra,
Smalling; Scholes, Gibson, Nani, Carrick, Fletcher, Bebe, Obertan, Tunnicliffe; Rooney, Berbatov,
Hernandez, King.
Employing Rooney in Scholes' role instead of continuing to shoehorn him as an out-and-out
striker he is not is the only scenario I can envision really unshackling Rooney's remaining and
decreasing potential.
Well it's about bloody time.
Sir Alex Ferguson emerged from his carefully-carved thinking box and finally employed Wayne Rooney
in the center of midfield for Manchester United.
A few weeks ago we asked whether you would be happy to see Spurs take back Michael Carrick from
Manchester United – a question that was met with a resounding ‘No'.
Recently there has been growing talk of another Spurs man making a return from Old Trafford, so
would we be more excited at the thought of Dimitar Berbatov in a Lilywhite shirt once again?
Throughout the week we've looked at all areas of the Tottenham side and asked which players
should be targeted in the transfer market this summer. In attack, many fans argue that our entire
front line could be cleared out after a disappointing campaign, but while Robbie Keane and Roman
Pavlyuchenko seem certain to leave, Defoe and Crouch could be retained for the start of
2011-12.
Some last-minute thoughts . . .
Last year I wrote something about styles and stylelessness in soccer, and I'm thinking about
that again as the Champions League final approaches. Everyone knows, because fifty articles a day
say so, that Barcelona has a very distinctive style of play. You can name it and describe it, and
you can see clearly when other sides try to imitate it.
It wasn't the fairytale ending we were all hoping for. But for any fan in red to argue that we
deserved something out of this game would have been a serious disservice to the way the Spanish
champions dominated us.
We fared better than our showing from 2 years ago. But that wasn't exactly very difficult to
do.
Dimitar Berbatov has quashed the rumours that he left the Wembley Stadium when told he would not
be in Manchester United's Champions League Final squad to play Barcelona.
Media reports told how Berbatov shunned his team-mates following their 3-1`defeat to Barcelona
last week but in actual fact Berbatov sat in the dressing room watching the game on a big
screen.
RoM has been nominated for the best club specific blog in the Caught Offside awards.
We are currently trailing to Empire of the Kop, famous in these parts for immediately offering
their full backing to Spirit of Shankly in light of the Munich singing videos which appeared.
Despite the highest ranking members of SoS admitting to being present and doing nothing to stop the
Munich chanting, EOTK thought it was best to write two articles to offer their support.
While there aren't that many new names being linked with a move to Spurs this summer, there are
plenty of old stories being resurrected and the latest involves Emmanuel Adebayor. Once again
however, it seems the transfer columnists just have to add a little embellishment, even if there is
no substance or justification.
Is it really that much of a ‘shock' to see Jermain Defoe linked with Spurs when the same story
was doing the rounds around 3 weeks ago?
As far as Spurs headlines are concerned, there's not much beyond Luka Modric, but a couple of
old rumours have started to gain some more momentum today and the Defoe link is just one of
them.

Ahead of our game today, Dave Clark from Sounder At Heart has shared his thoughts on Seattle
Sounders' chances, their best players and the history of the club.
Scott the Red: Are you excited about the game?
Dave Clark: I'm actually not excited about the game. Friendlies are nice exhibitions and do a
decent job of growing the potential fan base here, but I'm a fan of winning trophies (Seattle has
two in the last two years) and would rather the organization concentrate on competitive matches
while reaching out to people who will actually support a team to which they have local ties rather
than one across the pond that happens to be much better, but of little significance locally.
As the Premiership season moves ever closer, pundits, armchair fans and football purists make
their case for their club.
Will Man Utd once again lift the Premiership crown? Can big spending Man City finally mount a
serious challenge to the title? Can Kenny Daglish inspire Liverpool to glory?
