A selection of talent from Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham, Manchester United, Chelsea, Everton,
Stoke City, Burnley, Sunderland and Aston Villa who should get more in the way of plaudits.

A player who only seems to get his chance when someone is out injured or badly off form.
Oh dear. Our friend Dimitar Berbatov is tangled up in a web of jealousy, deceit, and threats of
violence with a couple that also meant trouble for former Liverpool backup goalkeeper Nikolay
Mihailov, who publicly made fun of former girlfriend and 2006 Playmate of the Year Nikoleta
Lozanova and ended up going into hiding after getting his Ferrari doused in acid at orders of her
current boyfriend, Bulgarian mob boss Georgi ‘The Head' Stoilov.
Man Yoo striker's mobile could threaten his mobility Dimitar Berbatov has got himself on the wrong
side of a Bulgarian gangster by sending suggestive text messages to his girlfriend, according to
The Sun. The 28-year-old is reported to have received unexpected replies to his flirty messsages to
Playboy model Nikoleta Lozanova from mob boss Georgi 'The Head' [.
It doesn't get much better than Manchester United vs Arsenal, arguably one of the biggest
rivalries in the entire world and by far the most prestigious match to the new campaign. Arsenal
has gotten off to an exceptional start this year, dominating Celtic, Everton, and Portsmouth with
goals galore and from unusual sources, such as William Gallas, their leading goal scorer.
MANCHESTER United defeated Stoke to record their seventh consecutive win in all competitions.
Dimitar Berbatov and John O'Shea scored the goals. Ryan Giggs was man of the match again as he sat
up...

As our currently absent Miss Spur alluded to some time ago, Niko Kranjcar finally completed his
move to Spurs yesterday. It's a Croatian to replace a Croatian by the looks of things after Luka
Modric picked up a significant injury at the weekend.
After being linked with a number of targets on deadline day, some good and some worryingly bad,
we ended up with just the one signing and probably the best of the bunch at that.
It seems like this is all coming out of nowhere. Any fan of the game knows that the "tapping-up"
allegations have always been prominent but rarely has it been so harshly punished. From United's
perspective, they were accused of tapping up Dimitar Berbatov and Wayne Rooney in the recent past
and accused Real Madrid of tapping-up Ronaldo(the accusing needed not be done, Ronaldo was caught
on camera).

United travel to White Hart Lane on Saturday in a top of the table Premier League clash. Spurs
have won their first four games in a row but United can bring them crashing back to reality if they
manage to take all three points in London. These two sides usually produce some decent encounters
and I for one am hoping for more of the same this weekend.
A move not worth making.

Manchester United are to test Sevilla's resolve by bidding for Luis Fabiano in the
January transfer window, according to reports in the English press.
The People comments that manager Sir Alex Ferguson is an admirer of the Brazilian, who has the
started the campaign in flying form for both club and country, and has decided to offer for the
28-year-old in January, despite him being ineligible for the Champions League.
The Manchester derby was an enthralling affair providing us with one of the games of the season.
The momentum ebbed and flowed between the two teams throughout as both searched for the upper hand
on the other. Before kick off we were greeted with the news Carlos Tevez would start, which added
even more spice to the game.
"Everybody in the team watches a lot of movies, but with me it is a real hobby," said
Berbatov. "When you are a foreign player in another country sometimes you have a lot of time on
your hands. I am always watching movies at home. If I wanted to, I could open a video store with my
DVDs!
Dimitar Berbatov has been very praiseworthy of his team mate Wayne Rooney, claiming that he is
the best player in the league.
Like every other United player these days, Berbatov has been asked how we will cope without
Cristiano Ronaldo, but our Bulgarian reckons we already have a player, in Rooney, who will add a
lot more to our team than Ronaldo did.
Dimitar Berbatov has been criticised by some sections of our support for being 'lazy'. I'd argue
that was an ignorant point of view but each to their own.
He has today claimed that he is aware of the expectations that come with his price tag but that
his playing style is different to the likes of Wayne Rooney.
August has been short but sweet for Wayne Rooney as his consistency in front of goal is exactly
what was needed of him with even more responsibility on his shoulders due to the departure of
Cristiano Ronaldo.
Rooney has looked all the more dangerous this year, and stats don't lie, with five goals in five
games so far this term.
Manchester United season ticket holder, Andy Cole, has praised our strikeforce today, claiming
that Wayne Rooney is ready to fill Cristiano Ronaldo's boots and that Dimitar Berbatov is
'elegant'.
"Rooney has started the season really well," said Cole. "He's ready to step into
Ronaldo's shoes.
It's Labor Day here in the USA, a day to celebrate workers by giving them the day off. Because we
love a timely themed post here on The Offside, it seems appropriate to ask: Who is hardest working
player in football? Anyone who says Dimitar Berbatov gets a digital slap. The player that
immediately comes to mind [.
Who: Tottenham Hotspur v Manchester United
What: Barclays Premier League Match
Where: White Hart Lane (London)
When: Saturday, 12th September 2009 - 17:30 BST (12:30 EST)
Why: Because I want Berba to score and then wave hello to the supporters
section.
Despite being one of the most promising strikers to have been produced in England for some time
Wayne Rooney has never really had the starring role at Old Trafford. Cristiano
Ronaldo was always the focal point in that particular United side but now the Portuguese wizard has
moved to Real Madrid the door has opened for Wayne to really prove himself.
Hello all, this post is just a follow up to the previous one. It really was a strange game
yesterday. Moments when Arsenal are two nil down in a game are rare. And that percentage is further
reduced when you throw in the phrase, "two nil down within the first 5 minutes". Obviously like
every Gunner out there I was stunned.
The fans hate eachother, the teams hate eachother more!
We are only weeks into the season and we have already been treated to some entertaining matches.
This weekend there is another that has our mouths watering.
When Tevez left United the way he did I knew that the first Manchester Derby was going to be
special.
.Michael Owen's goal at the far end of extra time won a thrilling encounter for Manchester United.
Playing Manchester City at Old Trafford, the match had all the makings of a classic as the
Premiership Champions won 4-3. Owen came on as a substitute for Dimitar Berbatov in the last few
moments of the six [.
Goals from Berbatov and O'Shea are enough as Sir Alex's Man United side beat hard working Stoke
City.

Dimitar Berbatov was named Man of the Match in Bulgaria's 4-1 win over Montenegro at the
weekend, after scoring a pen and assisting other goals.
His country take on Marcello Lippi's Italy tonight in a World Cup qualifier and the Italian
coach is on the look-out for Berbatov, who ran his defence ragged in their last meeting which
finished 0-0.
Paul Doyle of The Guardian once described Carlos Tevez as "the rich man's Dirk Kuyt." That man
may be far more rich than we thought.
Carlos Tevez left Manchester United for Manchester City, in a deal that reportedly paid Tevez'
handlers £25.5m. According to a new report in The Times, Tevez' fee may really be £47m, nearly
twice the initial figure.
Dimitar Berbatov scored two goals in three games against his former club last season, including
the goal that knocked Tottenham Hotspur out of the FA Cup.
Ahead of another game against them, Berbatov claims the fans were good to him but there was no
way he could turn United down, despite his exorcist uncle telling him not to.

After Barcelona won the Champions League it seemed highly possible that they could do it again
in no time, but after the transfer market many teams have strengthened and are looking to take
another crack at the famed trophy.
Here is a breakdown of all teams that have a good chance of winning the Champions League,
starting with the current holders, Barcelona.
Sir Alex Ferguson made a few changes to tonight's line-up, picking a team which was capable of
picking up the points, whilst making sure we have enough fresh players for derby day at the
weekend. Gary Neville started in place of John O'Shea, Jonny Evans for Rio Ferdinand, whilst Darren
Fletcher and Ryan Giggs were also given a rest.
Manchester City can complain about the time keeping all they want, but in the end they couldn't
clamp down on Michael Owen in the game's dying seconds.
The Manchester derby was one of the more riveting meetings in recent memories. City was off to a
flying start, and hoped to back up their win over Arsenal with a shock upset over their fierce
rivals.
It was the two experienced heads that inspired victory at the Brittania Stadium. At a combined
age of 49, Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs both played their part.
From the off, Scholes was the driving force. Ryan Giggs came on a substitute and created both
goals as Manchester United beat Stoke 2-0.
Burnley = destroyed. Robbie Keane = bloody lethal. To paraphrase a well known and distinctly
average rock band, his sex really was on fire.
Spurs comfortably got back to winning ways at the weekend with another comprehensive win, this time
over struggling travellers Burnley. They may be insanely formidable on their home Turf (Moor) but
they've yet to crack the art of getting points on the road.
Today I am going to start off by saying thank you for all of your birthday messages; they were very
kind. I had a fantastic 21st birthday and it was nice to have a weekend off. I did have the...

Ah the Premier League. How I've missed you over the last week or so. Your absence has deprived me
of the chance to witness Spurs pick up another precious three points and that trend is certain to
continue come tomorrow afternoon with the visit of league champions Manchester United... on second
thoughts, I'll get me coat.
"owww!"
Wasn't expecting that. Not at all. Well. Ok, maybe from watching the game you could argue that
after Defoe took his goal with a bicycle kick, (something that would cause the majority of Spurs
fans to erupt in one way or another); the fact that Berbatov had obviously dived to gain the free
kick that Giggs slotted home was a trifle unfair.
Apart from a Paul Scholes sending off, this was a very impressive Manchester United performance.
United bounced back from the shock of conceding a goal within the first minute, pushing for an
equaliser as soon as, and for the duration of the game, even after ten men down, were pretty
organised and unlike the Arsenal game were not lacking any attacking ideas.
Saturday's Premier League action provided us with some very entertaining action with no shortage
of goals. While the Premier League table once again has a familiar look, the attacking quality this
weekend has compensated for this.
Firstly the new league leaders Manchester United grabbed a two goal win over Stoke.
