Real Madrid is wrapping up their American preseason tour by playing Landon Donovan and the LA
Galaxy tonight at 10:30 PM (eastern) in Pasadena, California at the Rose Bowl. And with that size
of a stadium I think it is safe to say that the friendly should attract quite an active
audience.

JOSE Mourinho is quickly building his own team at Real Madrid. He gets the ownership thing:
managers need to be fully accountable for their XIs; the good ones put their own unique stamp on a
club, which usually involves getting rid of the previous gaffer's players and systems, and
installing new ones.

Does Alex Ferguson know what he's doing? It's the question a lot of Manchester United fans ask
themselves, and most seasons end with the answer, "I won the league, youse are all fucking
idiots."
For me, every year is the same. Until about October, interest is muted as I try to finally kick
football out of my life.
Strange that halfway through the season, when teams are about to enter into the business end of
proceedings, that
Real Madrid should make a mid-week jaunt to
Albania for a friendly
against
Gramozi Ersekë: a type of marketing exercise usually reserved for pre-season.
Rumour has it that the president of their Albanian rivals, Rezart Taci, paid Real Madrid
€2.

Robben and Sneijder Return to The Bernabéu
This time last year Arjen Robben and Wesley Sneijder wore the white shirts of Real Madrid. The
Dutch pair were team mates for two seasons with Los Merengues before being forced to
leave last summer.
Whilst the summer of 2010 was a relatively quiet time for Real Madrid, all previous years taken
into account, January of 2011 could well see a return to form in the transfer window.
As his way, Jose Mourinho has made his mark early on at the Bernabeu and it seems that some of
the players who are not part of his plans could be shown the door mid-season.
The Godfather, Tony Soprano...whichever. Just imagine some Italian-American mafioso making
pyramid fingers and sweating prosciutto.
Real's recent cup competition difficulties are notorious, so they went out and got Jose Mourinho
to solve their problems. His method is to emotionally whack the entire XI should they lose
again.
El Clasico: Real Madrid vs. Barcelona
This is the most important match of the season for Real Madrid and Manuel Pellegrini. When the
newly elected president Florentino Perez started his second "Galactico" project he never imagined
that the word "failure" would be linked to it.
The French football revolution has started! Newly appointed manager Laurent Blanc kept his
word by not selecting any of the 23 players who played at the World Cup in South Africa. Blanc has
selected a fairly inexperienced squad in which 13 of the players could make their international
début in the friendly against Norway.
The man that played in the #11 jersey for Real Madrid occasionally last year was not Karim
Benzema. Well, maybe the Karim Benzema who plays for France. But it was certainly not the
Benzema that I saw playing for years in Ligue 1. The man I saw last year looked timid, unsure and
unhappy.
The Second Round of games in the battle to make the Euro 2012 Finals in Poland and
Ukraine were fought out to-night and it didn't go well for some of the favourites to-night. England
maintained their100% record with a 3-1 win away to the Swiss with the troubled Wayne Rooney
grabbing the opener, the Rep of Ireland also maintained their unbeaten start to their campaign
beating minnows Andorra 3-1 at the Aviva Stadium, while Scotland left it late to beat minnows
Liechtenstein at Hampden Park scoring the winner in the Seventh minute of injury-time in a 2-1
victory.
'They'll only whack Mourinho Tomorrow Because of this Angel! Thank YOU!' says
Pipita.Last night , Real Madrid took a trip to France to play their 2nd Champions League
group stage match. Auxerre's stadium had an English feel to it with its stands right up to the edge
of the pitch filled with rabid fans singing, cheering and booing boisterously as the match unfolded
last night.

Will Trezeguet's performance for Hercules be enough to catch Blanc's
attention?
If David Trezeguet has anything to say about it, then yes. On this Sunday's edition of Telefoot,
he declared himself "available" to Blanc should his former France teammate decide to call him
up.

Dass Fussballer den Ball hochhalten können, ist uns klar. Aber können sie so etwas auch wenn

The Guardian is full of praise for Wayne Rooney.

The Chelsea Blog is not happy with the fans who booed Wayne Bridge.
Well well well. My tip for the World Cup seem to be on self-destruct at the moment as
members of the French national team are being questioned by police about an underage prostitution
investigation. One for the top ten by the looks of
it...
Now there are 4 players named so far with police believing they are involved.
When you think of greatness in Spanish football, one active player likely surpasses all others
in the last few decades.
Raul of Real Madrid has been a consistent goal scorer over his career and the aging forward and
captain has proven this year (just like any year in his career) that he still can contend with the
big boys.
So Domenech is giving us and the media a little hint of that bizarre sense of
humor that made him famous infamous after losing Euro 2008. But, unlike in 2008, I'm sympathetic
to Domenech's sass to the media.
First, the media never misses an opportunity to drag Domenech over the coals.
I love the camaraderie in this picture!
It's only game 1 of the World Cup, but I feel like its D-Day. And, I honestly don't think
that's an exaggeration- because how we perform in this initial game will most likely determine the
rest of France's World Cup adventure.
It is great news that Wenger has finally got Laurent Koscielny on board, although it is my opinion
that he was probably forced to pay more than his original valuation considering his experience. But
other than that there are still lots of Arsenal transfer rumours about, and the main one seems to
be the imminent [.
In a recent interview with Real Madrid's official website, the Portuguese superstar was asked
several questions regarding his new boss, Jose Mourinho, Raul's departure, being back training with
the squad and Real Madrid's bitter rivals; Barcelona.
Now that former Real Madrid icon, Raul, has left to the German Bundesliga club Schalke, a lot
of rumors and speculations were going around as to see who will wear the number 7 jersey.
hmm- what does Cristiano Ronaldo have to say about this?
Karim Benzema has just drawn a line in the sand. Okay, nothing really that dramatic. But, he
did make a pretty lofty prediction- and I'm sure Real Madrid and the club's fans who aren't exactly
known for their patience.
Barcelona striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic appears to be headed to a new club this summer and the
Swedish former Serie A Golden Boot winner has been linked to countless teams including AC Milan,
Manchester City, and even his former side of Inter Milan.
And with the recent addition of David Villa to the striker's unit it appears that Ibrahimovic is
no longer even the second option for the Camp Nou club.
Jose Mourinho - Maybe he's more Voldermort than Harry Potter...?.So here we are left to
ponder for an extra weekend (isn't it kinda stupid to start the La Liga Season only to let the
International break cut it off on the following weekend?... anyway, I digress) what happened to
Real Madrid in what was supposed to be the glorious arrival of the Special One in Spain.
After every World Cup there are players that get noticed for their performances, sign on to big
contracts, and then never live up to the hype. In fact that is more the case than not. After
watching the first several performances from Mesut Ozil you can already see that in his case he is
in the divine minority.
Let's be honest here, most football transfer rumours originate in the minds of gawky journos who
desperately make up this rubbish to stop them having to write another feature on how bloody good
Paul Scholes is. Case in point of this rubbish – Andy Carroll to Tottenham?! Christ, what next,
Tony Hibbert to Barcelona?
Watching Real Madrid These Days Feels like this...So here I am on my lunchbreak at
work trying to figure out what to say about what happened to my beloved Real Madrid last Saturday
Night. It was weekend of ‘upsets' and frustrations. .Saturday night at the Ong House's TV started
at 7:40pm to take in Chelsea vs.
Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho addressed the media one day before their Champions League
match against Auxerre. He had some choice words to say about the absence of Pedro Leon in the
Real Madrid squad but other than that his comments were pretty standard and politically correct,
but always entertaining!
Independently of the "bad" performance tonight by REAL MADRID in their 0-1 Champions League Group G

Getting Jiggy With It: Ozil wonders why Ronaldo is celebrating with Marcelo when the pass
and all the hard work of opening the Malaga defense came from him..It's hard to wake up
from the state of ‘hibernation' that the international break puts me through... as of yesterday
morning, despite last Saturday's nifty performance (coupled with a nice scoreline), my blogging
brain was still in hibernation (it also has to do with the fact that I finally got my hands on FIFA
11 for my PSP).

Now that it has been a couple of days since Sir Alex Ferguson's sympathy-inducing video
regarding Wayne Rooney's future has made its way into the heinous hands of the media, the time is
right for the United gaffer to perhaps start dispersing his gaze towards replacements for the
former Everton forward.
It was a TWO-THUMBS-UP Performance for the All-Action Khedira in for his night in
Alicante.According to Greek Mythology, Hercules is the half-man, half-God illegitimate son
of Zeus. Known for his superhuman strength, he then became the first ‘Superhero' of the Ancient
World. Today, tasks that are deemed to be near-impossibly difficult are referred to as
‘Herculean.
It doesn't take a genius to see the change that Jose Mourinho has brought to the Real Madrid and
even star player Ronaldo knows that Los Blanco's now have a better chance at winning with the
Portuguese coach taking over, "With him [Mourinho] we have more chances to win." Said
Cristiano in a recent interview with Marc TV.
2 Games, 2 wins. 9 Goals. The world awaits the clash of the Spanish Titans at the Camp Nou this
coming Monday... and from the looks of it: Real Madrid have cranked themselves into gear for this
one...

Jose Mourinho has been everything that Real Madrid expected when they took him from Inter Milan
this summer. Other than that result in the Nou Camp against Barcelona, Madrid have
been terrific, scoring goals and looking likely to win trophies this season.
But behind the scenes, life is not what Jose Mourinho expected as he is feuding with Real Madrid
director general Jorge Valdano.
