Lots of American transfer updates this morning, so I'm lumping them all together. I'm
pulling most of this from the excellent Soccer By Ives...
• In Germany, Kicker is reporting that Ricardo Clark has signed with
Eintracht Frankfurt until the end of the season, with the club having the option to extend the deal
for another three years.
While currently enjoying a successful season with AGF Aarhus, Benny Feilhaber will be using this
month's USMNT camp to not just improve his fitness, but also to provide experienced leadership to
an otherwise inexperienced team.

The U.S. men's national team will play its first match of 2010 on Saturday against Honduras in
Carson, California (9pm, Fox Soccer Channel/Telefutura), and while most of the team's top stars
won't be playing, the match is still an important one in terms of trying to figure out who are Bob
Bradley's best options to fill out the World Cup roster.

Marcus Tracy has endured his share of ups and downs in his first year of professional soccer,
but the former Wake Forest standout has come through it in impressive fashion and did enough to
earn a look from U.S. national team head coach Bob Bradley.

I'm wondering if perhaps what Bob Bradley needs most today is a calendar.

Speculation that certain La Liga clubs are interested in AGF Aarhus midfielder Benny Feilhaber were
confirmed by the American himself, though a transfer looks to be only a slight possibility this
winter.
The United States Men's National Team will face off against fellow World Cup qualifiers Honduras
tomorrow in a friendly at the Home Depot Center. Of the 28 players that were called into camp in
preparation for the game, none has earned more caps than AGF Aarhus midfielder Benny Feilhaber, who
is now reportedly attracting interest from a handful of Spanish teams.
As of Friday about 13,000 tickets - about 75 percent of them purchased by Hondurans - had been
sold for tonight's 6 o'clock friendly (live on Fox Soccer Channel) at Home Depot Center in Carson
between the U.S. and the Central American nation.
A large walk-up crowd is expected so officials are urging fans to get there early.
Tonight's loss should be taken with a grain of salt. I doubt more then two or three of the
players we saw deployed by Bob Bradley tonight will be on the plane to South Africa. That said,
it's a little embarrassing to be trounced by Honduras on your home turf. Hopefully this will be a
wake up call for players like Benny Feilhaber and Jonathan Bornstein.
The Men's National Team game notes are out and here are a few interesting tidbits we found when
looking over them:
- In total, 10 players on the roster competed in the USA's successful campaign to qualify for the
2010 FIFA World Cup. Sacha Kljestan's 10 appearances during qualifying are a team high, while Heath
Pearce (nine starts) and Conor Casey (two goals) are also team bests.
1. Bornstein's goal against Costa Rica will be mentioned a total of seven times. The
highlights will be shown in both the pre-game and half time specials.
2. Conor Casey will score a goal, making it even more likely that he'll make our World Cup
roster. Ugh.
3. The central defense will look pretty strong considering this is our "B-Team".
Welcome to Honduras North aka Home Depot Center, Carson.
A predominantly blue and white clad crowd here tonight at the Home Depot Center.
The U.S. was roundly booed when they ran out to warm-up at about 5:25 p.m.
I'm told about 150 members of the LA Riot Squad are here tonight, which may be the largest
single group of Americans in attendance.

Although the goal definitely came up, it wasn't the hot topic of conversation I thought it
would be. I was counting on this one as a gimme.

If the U.S. national team's recent friendly vs. Honduras was supposed to help put the U.S. World
Cup roster into some better focus, then Bob Bradley is probably glad he has almost four months
before he has to settle on his final 23-man roster.
