The World Cup is just six months away and with serious injuries and the inclusion of some new faces shaking things up on the U.S. national team, it is getting a bit tougher to project just which 23 players will be on the team when it heads to South Africa.

Two games featuring Americans on Monday, with Jay DeMerit returning from injury for Watford's 3-1 win over Queens Park Rangers. DeMerit came on as a halftime substitute for Watford, with the score 1-1. Don Cowie made it 2-1 in the 56th and To Cleverley scored in stoppage time to finish off the 3-1 win.

Bob Bradley casts his net wide to bring in 30 players for this one with an interesting collection of names announced this morning to say the least.

A pair of Scandinavian stand outs as well as few MLS emerging stars headline Bob Bradley's 30 man roster for the annual January training camp. Rising MLS stars, Omar Gonzalez, Chris Pontius and Kevin Alston will have the opportunity to show their skills to Coach Bradley ahead of the opening of camp on January 4th.

In the US he is popular. Outside of it he is arguably one of the most respected American soccer players to have come out in the past five years. He made a name for himself in the Bundesliga and has become one of the best players in the Danish Superliga.

January brings American Idol auditions, and the U.S. men's national team is doing pretty much the same thing.

US Soccer has released Bob Bradley's list of players called into USMNT camp this January. It is an interesting mix of players on breaks from MLS and Scandinavian leagues. MLS Rookie of the Year Omar Gonzalez may get a long look because of injuries in the American backline and forwards Marcus Tracy and Robbie Findley will be looking to prove they can fill the hole left by the recovering Charlie Davies.

Colorado Rapids forward Conor Casey is among the 30 players invited to the U.S. men's national team's training camp that will begin workouts January 4 at The Home Depot Center in Carson, California.

Casey and the group will prepare for the United States' first match of 2010, a friendly against fellow FIFA World Cup finalists Honduras on January 23 at The Home Depot Center.

We got the great news this week that Chris Pontius has been called-up to the U.S. Men's National Team by Head Coach Bob Bradley. CP will participate in the team's January training camp at the Home Depot Center in Los Angeles along with 30 other players - a group that includes former United goalkeepers Nick Rimando and Troy Perkins.

Bob Bradley has released his 30-man roster for an upcoming camp next month. The roster is a heavy-MLS and Scandinavian based roster with loads of surprises for some folks out there. The roster will probably be trimmed down a bit for the Honduras friendly later next month on the 23rd.

Of the 30 players, 25 are from Major League Soccer with 13 of the 16 clubs represented.

For the U.S. Men's Team, the January camp is a tradition synanoumous with Major League Soccer. It's the once-a-year opportunity for those players either on the rise in MLS or in lesser-trodden leagues like Scandanavia, to ply their trade in front of Bob Bradley and the USMNT coaching staff.

Announced today, the selection of players available for January, a stretch that includes a January 23 friendly against Honduras, will be a litmus test for players claiming to have aspirations of respresenting the U.
