With the news today that Manchester City have signed star Paraguayan striker Roque Santa Cruz for
30M, I started thinking about the wealth of attacking options at the club.
The club literally has ten (yes, ten!) strikers on the first team. In a traditional 4-4-2 lineup,
that would leave eight awfully unhappy men sitting on the bench.
According to Chris Flanagan at the Lancashire Telegraph, Blackburn are checking
to see if Manchester City striker Benjani Mwaruwari is
available.
It is also reported that Blackburn plan on extending the trial for striker Christian
Vieri.

Bolton are desperate to add to their attacking options when the transfer window reopens in the
New Year and have earmarked Benjani as the player to fire them to safety.
