Didier Drogba will forever be remembered by Chelsea fans for his heroic performance which helped
the club lift their first UEFA Champions League trophy, especially since it will be his final
contribution for the team.
The 34-year-old Drogba confirmed that he will leave the club when his contract expires next
month.
Dimitar Berbatov has today spoken about his time at Manchester United coming to an end. After
being the league's top scorer last season, the Bulgarian striker has hardly had a look in. The
31-year-old will leave United this summer but insists he's achieved his goal by playing for us.
"I rejected City's offer to play in the best club in the world," Berbatov told BG
TV.
There has been a lot of talk recently about bringing the Fulham striker/winger Clint Dempsey to
Old Trafford. While I cannot argue that he is having a phenomenol season, I don't see this as a
viable option For Manchester United on many levels:
Too Much Competition
For those of you touting Dempsey as a Red Devil,
consider what United actually NEEDS is creativity in the central midfield, not another goal
scorer.
Yesterday the Galaxy traded Paolo Cardozo to Chivas in exchange for Brazilian defender David
Junior Lopes.
Before any of you English majors attack me for misuse of the quote above, I am not asking where
Paolo went. He went to Chivas. I am asking, appropriately for the quote, about his true nature.

In the midst of their first winning streak since 2010, the New England Revolution are already
proving to be a much deeper team than in years past. For the first time in recent memory New
England has legitimate competition for starting spots.
This early in the basketball season, it's easy to get caught up in the success and start to
overrate certain fantasy basketball players. With that in mind, here's our list of the most
overrated fantasy basketball players for the 2011-12 NBA season.

Sporting KC kicks off their playoff campaign tomorrow night in Colorado against the Rapids in the
first leg of the Eastern Conference semifinals. KC split the season series with the Rapids, drawing
both games 1-1. In the game out in Colorado Conor Casey scored in the 13th minute after a poor back
pass.
And another international weekend comes and goes. While no Portland Timbers were involved, yet
again, I feel like I should update you guys a bit on the USMNT as well as how our guys did who were
with their national teams.
So first, before we get to the players, the US team!
The USMNT played twice this past weekend (and then some) first against Honduras and then against
Ecuador.
Wayne Rooney is told a Euro 2012 starting spot is not guaranteed | Football | The Guardian.
Over the past several months, I have lambasted England manager Fabio Capello for all
kinds of decisions that I have disagreed with, but through it all, I don't think I have felt the
need to insult the man.
There cannot be a true Galaxy fan alive today who does not love them some Brazilian. A Brazilian
apparently named Vitor, specifically. Twice now I've seen game rosters with that name and tried to
figure out if the Galaxy signed some new player. But when you see our magical little Brazilian elf
on the field, there is no doubt it is Juninho.
Real Salt Lake might be the most dangerous team in the MLS playoffs. If they keep their recent
form, situations likely come about that have them as the team to beat.
The impending return of Javier Morales and the continued excellence of leaders like Beckerman,
Rimando and Jamison Olave also raise the likelihood that RSL contend for the cup.
Owen Hargreaves backed for England return Manchester City | Mail Online.
Over at The Etihad Stadium tonight, one of the feel good stories of the season emerged
as former Manchester United and England midfielder Owen Hargreaves scored his first goal for his
new club Manchester City in their League Cup tie against Birmingham City.
Craig Bellamy was Liverpool's last signing of an expensive summer after he landed at Anfield from
Manchester City on a free transfer.
But the Welshman's return to his former club was disappointing as the Reds registered their first
loss of the season to Stoke City, who are now a point above Liverpool in the Barclays Premier
League table in fifth place.

BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. -- The Chicago Fire have found a rare winning stretch, so the team would prefer
few to no changes toward its lineup now that it has a good thing going. Chicago posted back-to-back
league wins, followed by a Lamar Hunt U.
Jason Varitek doesn't play that much anymore. The 39-year-old catcher has had to adjust to the
role of a bench player. But on Wednesday against the New York Yankees, Varitek led a comeback that
gave the Boston Red Sox a 9-5 victory.
In the top of the sixth inning, the Yankees scored four runs to take a 5-4 lead.
The BBC is reporting that the transfer of Caleb Folan from Hull City to the Rapids could be
completed this weekend. Hull City has agreed to let him go on a free transfer and all that's left
is to work out the details of the contract.
At the same time Nick Thomas has reported that the Rapids are working on a new contract with Omar
Cummings.

Michael Bradley's loan move to Aston Villa in the closing hours transfer deadline day was rightly
hailed as a step forward for both American players and Bradley himself. There may be some debate as
to whether the English Premier League is definitely a better place for Bradley to improve than the
Bundesliga, but there's no doubt that his profile will grow at a respected club like Villa in a
highly visible league like the Prem.
If you're a hardcore soccer fan, it can tough to concentrate on anything but the sport on a day
like today. You might try to step away from the computer for a few moments and focus on work or
family matters, but inevitably you come drifting back to Twitter or the big football news sites to
get the latest rumors.
Being left without any certainty about his future isn't something that Machester United's
reserve goalkeeper, Tomasz Kuszczak, plans to keep having in the future especially after pretty
much going into that road for the past five years.
Speaking his mind to the media, Kuszczak stated that he believes at least next season his time
will finally come to carry the reign from United's current number one keeper, 40-years-old Edwin
Van Der Sar, who could probably playing his last season at Old Trafford.
