I was thinking of giving ol' Kenwyne an intro but I cannot be bother to sugar coat this.
He's shit, he's slow and generally a bit of a lumbering pillock. How Sunderland have managed to
fleece Stoke £8 million for this "player" I have no idea...
I saw Kenwyne play against Man Yoo last year in the 2-2 draw and I was amazed at what I saw.
This week's results see both a shack-up in top-side performance or lack thereof and in the
players in The Team of the Week. Numerous players are making their debut in this glorious
and highly prestigious squad. Despite Arsenal's loss, a player from their said made the cut, while
numerous other from clubs from the bottom-half of the table are included or fell just short of the
mark.
I don't know if it was Bolton fans being sarcastic or irritated United supporters, but the cries
of "Where's Rio?" and chants of "Evans is rubbish!" boomed out loud and clear at half-time on
Sunday. It's one thing to be humiliated by Fernando Torres Nemanja Vidic, Fabio Cannavaro, Rafa
Marquez and Carlos Puyol can all take a number on that one but Bobby Zamora and Kevin Davies?
Another transfer window has now closed and it's another where many Manchester United fans have
been left feeling disappointed due to the apparent lack of transfer activity at Old Trafford.
Chris Smalling has arrived from Fulham, as well as Javier Hernandez, Marnick Vermijl and
Bebe.

Colin Tattum at the Birmingham Mail wrote an interesting article that briefly describes/
analyzes the signings of Birmingham boss Alex McLeish, which
were:
Ben Foster, Enric Valles, Matt Derbsyshire, Nikola Zigic, Martin Jiranek, Jean Beausejour, and
Aleksandr Hleb
Wayne Rooney has retained his starting spot in Fabio Capello's England eleven for today's match
against Switzerland. The Manchester United striker has been in the headlines for all the wrong
reasons this week, but his closest circle insists he'll be mentally prepared for today's Euro 2012
qualifier.
At long last, there's club football to be played. That's a good thing, right?
As I've alluded to time and again, international breaks are quite possibly the bane of my
existence. Maybe not Martin at the Arsenal Offside levels of hatred, but still a healthy amount. I
understand there's a heavy investment that many have in their respective national teams' success,
but for me it was a long two weeks.
Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson leapt to the defence of striker Fernando Torres after he was widely
criticized for a disappointing display in the goalless draw with Birmingham on Sunday.
Torres tested Blues goalkeeper Ben Foster twice in the second half but looked off the pace as he
continues his return from a groin injury sustained in the World Cup final.
Liverpool were indebted a superb display from goalkeeper Jose Reina for earning a point from a
goalless draw with Birmingham in a Barclays Premier League clash at St Andrew's.
Reina produced excellent reflex saves to keep out point-blank range headers from Cameron Jerome and
Craig Gardner.
The home side was also left to regret spurning a hat-trick of clear-cut chances and was the more
impressive of the two sides.
I'm running behind schedule on the previews but I will be done before Matchday 2 kicks off !
Group C contains annual challengers Manchester United, a Valencia team facing life post-David
Villa, a Rangers side facing transition and newcomers Bursaspor who won the Turkish League for the
first time in their history.
Christian Benitez, also known as Chucho, spent last season on loan at Birmingham City. He made
his début at Old Trafford and forced a great save from Ben Foster in a game United won 1-0. His
first goal for Birmingham was in their 2-2 draw at Anfield against Liverpool but when his loan deal
ended in the summer he returned to Santos Laguna.

Bayern Munich is currently coping with not having star Arjen Robben at its disposal, but now the
team will have to deal with the injury absence of its other big playmaker.
Franck Ribery has been ruled out for four weeks after damaging ligaments in a league match
against TSG Hoffenheim on Tuesday.

Tomasz Kuszczak is a misunderstood little fellow. That may be because his name is rather
difficult to spell and is worth plenty of points on Scrabble, but after an admittedly dodgy
performance against Scunthorpe last night, his United career looks ever so unlikely to stretch
another season.
