The half-time reenactment of the fireplace scene from 'Women In Love' went down a
treat
Bathed in withering sun, Crewe beat Cheltenham in the League Two Play-Off Final at Wembley
yesterday afternoon to snag themselves a berth in League One next season, with the latest
wunderkind to roll off the Railwaymen's production line, 18-year old Nick Powell, opening
proceedings with an absolute belter of a goal darting away from two defenders with his first touch
and then lashing a shot across the Cheltenham goal.
Bayern Munich vs Chelsea Champions League Final Betting Preview is a post from: Just

It's been a while. Truth be told the stresses of a relegation battle for my team in the
rarefied atmosphere of the Premier League was a little too much. Well, that and getting a new
sporting business up and running, but with the small matter of the Champions' League and then the
Euros your ever humble (with good reason) betting blogger is back.
It wasn't pretty football in the West but it was a belter of a game. Perth v Wellington. And
arguably two of my least favourite football teams are playing much better football than years gone
by.
But it's not Swansea is it.
Great to see my most hated Coach ex-Ger Iain Ferguson using brain and craft to play full-back Scott
Neville in a switch for my man of the match Billy Mehmet.

A penalty miss by Cleiton Xavier in the 64th minute made all the difference to Sporting Lisbon
who squeaked out a draw to edge Metalist on aggregate. Metalist were the much better team this
evening and Rui Patricio was a busy man under the bar.
However, it was the Portugese side against the run of play going ahead through Rip Van Winkle
.
No clue how I missed this. However, more good news for us stateside supporters of the Chels.
According to several online reports, including one from the Washington Post's Steven Goff,
Chelsea will play AC Milan at FedExField on July 28. Shades of 2009 this friendly, eh?
Ten days after blessing the Left Coast with their presence in an exhibition with the Sounders,
Chelsea have been booked to play the Italian giants in the District.

Blue Square Bet Premier side Kettering Town are, like several other clubs of their stature,
flirting with a winding-up order at present after several months of financial hoo-doo that has seen
them fighting relegation, unable to pay their players and forced to leave former home
Rockingham Road and take up residency in former rivals Rushden & Diamonds' grave (the Diamonds went
under last summer) currently playing their home games, as they do, at Rushden's old Nene Park
ground.
As an integral component of not one but two of the world's best teams Germany and Bavaria
Munchen Didier Deschamps probably has a handle on Bastian Schweinsteiger's capabilities as a
footballer as well as his name. That didn't stop him from having a minor stroke when pronouncing it
earlier in the week.

In which Shefki Kuqi yes, that Shefki Kuqi; once of Stockport/Sheffield
Wednesday/Ipswich/Blackburn/Crystal Palace/Fulham/Ipswich again/Swansea/Derby and Newcastle, now of
Oldham Athletic booms home an absolutely outrageous 40-yard volley to equalise against Rochdale
in League One on Saturday afternoon.
These wins aren't to be underestimated. Stoke are a handful and we rarely thrive against them,
but today, despite withstanding a lot of second half pressure, Fulham stood firm and deserved their
points.
New players are traditionally given a time to adjust when signing for a new club, but today
Pavel Pogrebnyak was thrown straight into the deep end.
Good afternoon. Well, it hasn't quite sunk in yet but amazingly we managed to beat the league
leaders last night and in brilliant fashion. Two fantastic goals a belter from Hernandez and a
skilful volley from Kewell was enough to secure the win. It was an unlikely result but to be
honest, we really deserved it.

The tail-end of the Bolivian league farted back into life at the weekend and the first goal of
the Clausura stage, during Nacional Potosi's 1-0 victory over The Strongest (ace name!) was a bit
of a belter and came courtesy of Señor Erlan Mealla, who improvised when a cross was slung in
slightly behind him to flash this pearler into the sack of onions with some outrageous
technique.

Manchester City 1-0 Arsenal
Losses and goals conceded are always more palatable when your team acquits itself well. Giving up,
or turning up expecting to win, or crumbling inexplicably has been something of a hallmark in
recent seasons so one of the most pleasing things about this Arsenal side since October has been
the blossoming of its spirit and its excellent attitude.
101 Great Goals #58 - Darren Ambrose
Gary Neville called it the best goal he had ever seen an opposition player score at Old Trafford.
It's a bold claim, but Darren Ambrose's strike that helped knock Manchester United out of the
Carling Cup was an absolute belter.
And here at Cheer Up Alan Shearer we're delighted to bring you this superb goal with some rare Alan
Partridge commentary.
