Tonight Chelsea travel to Blackburn for the Carling Cup quarter finals at Ewood Park and I have a
feeling that the side that takes to the field tonight could be very different to the side that took
the field at the Emirates last Sunday.
Ray Wilkins has said before the game:
"We certainly approach every game to win it and we'll be doing the same tomorrow evening.
Well that was unexpected wasn't it! In my preview of the game tonight I honestly couldn't see us
losing the game so as Kakuta took the final pen and it was saved by Robinson I was gutted like the
rest of you!. I am sitting here with a feeling of one that got away as far as the League Cup is
concerned.
Bad luck for Wayne Bridge:
Wayne Bridge could be on the sidelines for two weeks after picking up a knee injury in
Saturday's win over Chelsea.
The left back was stretchered off in the second half after colliding with Belletti, but manager
Mark Hughes has reported that after initially looking to have been seriously hurt, the player may
only be out in the short-term.
Well that was another two points dropped against Birmingham on Saturday. I thought that on our
overall play we deserved to win the game if it wasn't for the outstanding display of goalkeeping by
Joe Hart. Joe had the game of his life and made some great saves, but we should of taken our
chances once again.
