For the second match in a row: *shakes head* Football, man. Football.
A first half set play goal, followed by increased United pressure and the inevitable equalizer
following a defensive mistake. In a 4-1-4-1 formation with Carragher holding in midfield, Liverpool
were unable to settle on the ball, in a typically frenetic no-holds-barred cup game.
After Liverpool's recent 3-1 defeat to Bolton, Nigel Reo-Coker laid into Craig Bellamy during his
post match interview, and the Welshman has stayed silent on the issue. Until now...Reo Coker and
Bellamy were involved in an onfield spat during the game, and afterwards, the Bolton captain
scathed:"Craig Bellamy is going to be Craig Bellamy and I've got no respect for him.

Anfield Rd: Gerrard starts for Reds in cup 3rd round
Liverpool have their captain back as Steven Gerrard makes his first start since his
pre-Christmas injury lay-off. Manager Kenny Dalglish has picked a strong side for the visit of
Oldham in this Budweiser sponsored cup match, but as strong as it might be it isn't Liverpool's
strongest.
Andy Carroll has surprisingly been dropped for tonight's FA Cup 3rd round tie against Bolton, but
Steven Gerrard returns to the starting line-up, as does Jonjo Shelvey, Fabio Aurelio and Jamie
Carragher. Here is the team:Reina, Kelly, Carragher, Aurelio, Gerrard, Spearing, Kuyt. Shelvey,

Craig Bellamy has a habit of scoring against his former clubs, and Liverpool fans will be hoping
the Welshman continues this trend against Manchester City tonight. However, as he revealed this
week, Bellamy takes no real pleasure in scoring against his former teams. Since returning to
Liverpool, Bellamy has scored against former teams Norwich and Newcastle, and whilst it's great for
Liverpool,
Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has sprung another minor surprise tonight by leaving Jose Enrique
on the bench for the Carling Cup semi-final first leg against Manchester City.Starting

Craig Bellamy today scooped a well-deserved 'Player of the Month' award for December, and his goals
his performances have been essential to Liverpool's improvement under Kenny Dalglish this season.
However, ever the perfectionist, Bellamy is unhappy that the club failed to win one particular home
game.

So is this what FSG feared when appointing Dalglish? A manager that should be, hopefully, exempt
from criticism, but there has been so much to criticize in tactics, personnel, and transfer
dealings lately.

The more you say it, the more depressing it sounds: Liverpool were WELL-BEATEN by a team in the
relegation zone, with the poorest defence, and worst home record in the league. The defeat will
almost certainly condemn Kenny Dalglish's side to another season without Champions League football,
and may even contribute to the King's own eventual demise.

"Would it be a risk to play defensively?" the reporter asked Kenny Dalglish as Liverpool
prepared to face Manchester City at Anfield in the second leg of the League Cup semi-finals.
Craig Bellamy once again starred for Liverpool as they booked their place in the League Cup
final with a 2-2 draw against Manchester City. This resulted in Liverpool winning the semi-final
3-2 on aggregate.
Liverpool were the dominant team in the second leg of the semi-final and if it wasn't for the
heroics of Joe Hart Liverpool could quiet easily run away with the game.
Liverpool lead 1-0 on aggregate.

What exactly did Dalglish mean by "If that's the level they [the players] expect this football club
to play at, they won't be here long"?
Craig Bellamy has been absolutely superb for Liverpool this season, and he was excellent again

Liverpool on their way to victory with another excellent penalty, told reporters:"He [Bellamy] been
