This is what the new Arsenal home shirt for next season looks like, Arsenalinsider can
exclusively reveal. As in previous years, we have been given the first sneak peak at how Arsene
Wenger's players will look in the latest offering from the club and manufacturers Nike.
We've been right every time in the past and we stand by this image, such is the strength of
belief in our source.
AVB has responded today to claims made earlier in the week from Carlo Ancelotti that in order for
Fernando Torres to step out of the shadows, Didier Drogba must be sold.
Let's just remind you of one thing, Villas-Boas very rarely likes to speak of individuals in
relation to performances, he always focuses on the team.
A common belief is that US youth soccer players suffer from over coaching, and in many cases
that is true. But in our helicopter parent society where kids rarely can just go 'play in the
park', coaches are in a situation where they have to provide SOME instruction and opportunity to
develop. How do you create a fun practice where the kids push themselves vs go through the motions
while also correcting mistakes and allowing for self discovery of soccer skill?
Through Ryu's Lens - Arsenal vs. Milan, The Comeback That Could Have Been
After winning 4-0 at the San Siro in the first leg, AC Milan thought they would stroll right
into the Champions League quarterfinals. Arsenal had other ideas, scoring 3 goals in the first half
at the Emirates.
The Portland Timbers have been very active in the off season. Any regular reader here or in any
of the other Timbers focused communities can tell you that. Despite what EA would have us believe,
the depth the Timbers have added is staggering. Where last year there was a clear first team player
for each and every spot, this year it feels like every position is up for grabs between players of
equal quality.
Monday's 1-0 win over Fulham had all the hallmarks of a Manchester United win in the closing weeks
of a season.
Rio Ferdinand believes their experience of such tight encounters gives them the belief they can
hold their nerve while others would panic. He also thinks such wins have a negative mental impact
on the rivals.
It has been a frustrating season for U.S. international midfielder Stuart Holden, who has had to
face another long-term injury while trying to build on his early success in the Premier League.
That injury has not changed his stature as one of Bolton's more important, personable players,
though.
Well, we kind of had an idea that Arsenal were playing well but not getting the results. It was
a matter of details according to Arteta, Wenger, and others. It all came good in this one as
Blackburn were the hapless victims of a rampant Arsenal side.
Chance conversion was another issue which was put to bed, at least temporarily, with 7 out of 8
shot on target registering on the scoreboard.
Euro 2012 is a good 100 days away but tonight's match between Germany
and France can easily be billed as a semi-final or even final meeting at the tournament!
Meister-Coach Joachim Loew is trying to get people around him to sit down, but you
get a sense that he wants to beat the French real badly, especially since Germany hasn't beaten
France since 1987.
The ‘belief' factor by KJ Recently, I've been analysing Arsenal's mental qualities and presenting
the possibility of a new ‘Invincibles' under Wenger. Although it's very unlikely, it's still a
great possibility to have these types of characters on the field, in the dressing room, on the
training ground.

Man United have almost secured their 5th League title in six seasons.
Consistency, Efficiency and Determination are words often associated with ManU. If they go on to
win the title this season, they'll further enhance their reputation as the best team in
England.

After enjoying a great run of results against Manchester City in recent years, the last two
league games haven't exactly gone our way and although Sunday's opponents have struggled a little
in recent weeks, the Etihad will be a tough place to go and get a result.
There is a great belief in this current Spurs side however and Luka Modric is one player who is
targeting an upset this time around.
Owen Coyle felt Bolton Wanderers ran out deserved winners following their emphatic 3-1 success over
Liverpool at the Reebok.
Bolton came into the game having lost 10 straight in league action to the Reds, a record that ended

Mark Davies fired the home side ahead early on with Nigel Reo-Coker doubling their advantage in the

Club captain Steven Gerrard has reiterated his confidence and belief in Liverpool manager Kenny

that Dalglish is the right man to lead Liverpool forward. In an interview with ITV Sport, Gerrard
expressed his admiration for Dalglish's willingness to put his legendary status on the line:"It

I haven't given up on Arsenal making the top four because I can't.
Despite Arsenal appearing to want to make it as difficult as possible to get there, something
inside me makes it hard for me to believe we won't make it. And that something inside me is
certainly not wind.
Perhaps its the season when we needed a Lasagna to make it happen gives me belief.
Juan Mata has spoken ahead of the United game on Sunday. In the short time he has been here in
England, he has made an impact and has become an important player for Chelsea now and in the
future.
Speaking of the weekend, Mata reveals that the players aren't happy with the ways things are going
but are determined to put things right in every game starting with United.

This is what the new Arsenal home shirt for next season looks like, Arsenalinsider can
excluisively reveal. As in previous years, we have been given the first sneak peak at how Arsene
Wenger's players will look in the latest offering from the club and manufacturers Nike.
We've been right every time in the past and we stand by this image, such is the strength of
belief in our source.
Liverpool travel to Manchester and Old Trafford to face United for the second time in two weeks
in a match that, depending on your resting heart rate, is either mildly exciting or something
that's possibly life threatening. There's as much to cover off the pitch as there is on, but for
everyone's sanity we'll try to just do the football.

Right. Straight off the bat, Pies would like to clarify that we're not saying this is 100%
definitely the design for Arsenal's new home kit for 2012/13.
What we are saying is that this mock-up has been drafted by
Arsenalinsider, who have a decent hit-rate on these sorts of things and who are
also claiming to have been privy to a photo of the actual design courtesy of a deepthroat informant
in the Nike camp and that they are willing to stand by their reproduction 'such is the strength of
belief in their source'.
Why are Everton simply brilliant against City and Chelsea but so lacking cohesion and belief
against Wigan and Bolton?
It really is weird...we've been a joy to watch in these big, big wins recently...everything you
love about Moyes' Everton.
Town's result against Cardiff City has left me wondering if I'm hallucinating.
For months I've been citing the wobbly defence as the core to all our problems, but on Saturday the
solid defence of days gone by made a welcome return to Portman Road and achieved their second clean
sheet in two games.
The Reds travel to St Andrews in the West Midlands to try to build upon their first win in six
games at the weekend. There aren't many places less likely to yield a win for us (well, in
fairness, you could probably select most of the top half of the table and find it rather daunting).
However, the thrill of three points and the glad viewing of not being in the relegation zone thanks
to Pompey's fiscal foolishness may have ignited a bit more belief in the Forest camp [.
Liverpool's success in ending their six year's trophy drought obviously carried lots of stories
including their key of winning it which Dirk Kuyt's revealed as their strong believe.
Kuyt said that during the difficult moment in the penalty shoot out, Kuyt went on to remain his
teammates, including captain Steven Gerrard, who was among one of the players failing to score in
the shoot out.
After John Terry was stripped of the England captaincy last month which consequently lead to the
resignaiton of manager Fabio Capello, the nation is anticipating who interim manager Stuart Pearce
will name as captain when he chooses his team to face Holland tomorrow evening.
Steven Gerrard is the stanjames favourite to be names skipper but Joe Hart is also a popular bwin
free bet, and Hart is certainly up for the challenge and responsibility of leading his country to
the European championships.
Arsenal youngster Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain admits that he pays a lot of attention to the end
product of his performances rather than simply taking the satisfaction from making an intangible
contribution on the field.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has scored four times in all competitions this season while also adding a
famous assist for Robin van Persie's goal against Manchester United earlier this year.
Another chapter of the Lionel Messi legacy was last night etched into history. The mercurial
Argentine became the first player to score five goals in a Champions League match, helping
Barcelona to a 7-1 second leg victory over a less than inspired Leverkusen side. While Arsenal put
on a master class in how to over-turn a first leg deficit, Leverkusen showed us exactly how you do
not go about it.
There seems to be a real belief in Palembang that this year could see them lifting their first
title since 2007/2008 though they were pushed all the way yesterday by Mitra Kukar, leading 3-0
just to cling on 4-3. The fans seem to believe as the crowd figures show.
Yesterday's victory puts them three points clear at the top of the ISL though 2nd placed Persipura
have two games in hand.
We posted this not only because it's another "Dos a cero" against Mexico (hey, even at the youth
level we'll take it), but for the complete performance that the Baby Nats put in against our
CONCACAF rivals.
There's a mentality that is spreading in this U.S. program.
Arsene Wenger has rubbished suggestions that his side's terrific recent form is aimed at
finishing above Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League standings, insisting that it was only a
matter of time that his players displayed their true potential.
The Gunners have been sensational in the league over the course of the last few weeks, winning
five in a row and outscoring opponents 18 goals to six during that stretch.
Fernando Torres scored twice and set up two goals to inspire Chelsea onto a 5-2 win over
Leicester in an FA Cup quarter final at Stamford Bridge yesterday. The win not only extended Di
Matteo's unbeaten record, but more importantly, restored confidence to Chelsea's record
signing.
Despite the calm celebrations displayed by the Spaniard, you could literally see the relief on
his face.
A little late on this but as I always say "better late than never".

Portland Timbers Quotes
Head Coach John Spencer
General thoughts on the game:
"We dominated for a long period of time in the second half. The difference between the first
half and the second half was that we started to believe in ourselves.
Arsene Wenger and Arsenal had a thoroughly miserable end to last season. The Gunners were
challenging for all four competitions, then after the farcical defeat to Birmingham in the Carling
Cup Final, the team just seemed to lose all belief in themselves and quickly dropped out of
contention in the other three competitions as well.
Interesting piece about the spontaneous outpouring of support for Fabrice Muamba and how it
manifested itself as prayer
Prayer is natural for footballers
It seems the family are Christians and so regardless of the reasons and what people think of prayer
and belief in general it seems to have been spot on.

It may have been a gloomy few weeks at White Hart Lane with just two league points out of a
possible 15 but Spurs are still handily placed as they enter the crucial part of the season. Rafael
van der Vaart could be a man to play a key role in the run in and the Dutchman himself is positive
about the games to come.
Belief will do tonight. Greg scores a late column just before the deadline whistle. Let's hope we
don't require anything like it tonight. Our recent performance at Chelsea, and the return of
Lennon should trump the Muamba factor. No miracles, no excuses, just get out there, play football
and onwards to Wembley, for King Harry and St.
