Having been a Rafa fan for a long time, even I must admit that enough is enough! What will make
or break Rafa is not the next few results, but rather the next few team sheets.

Manchester United
Kusczak (6.5 ) Didn't have to do anything spectacular. Distribution was a little wayward, as usual.
Good shot-stopper.
Rafael (7 ) He's definitely not shy. Added impetus to a United attack requiring it. Reckless at
times, as usual, but quick and resilient. Had United's best chance in the first half which he
attempted well.
Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard has affirmed his faith in the abilities of his Anfield team-mates,
claiming that there is enough spirit and quality within the camp to see the side through their
current bad patch.
"I have total belief in my team-mates. We have certainly under-achieved this season," he told his
club's official website.
Federico Macheda has signed a contract extension which will keep him at the club until 2014.
"I am very happy to commit my future to Manchester United," said Macheda. "I really
enjoyed myself last season when I came on and I hope to get more chances like that and contribute
to the team's success.
Mark Hughes:
"We have been frustrating everyone, not least ourselves, because we have let good opportunities
slip but the manner of the victory over Arsenal was impressive. We managed the game well once we
went in front," he stressed.
"We are working hard to drive the club forward and we want to be successful over a long period
of time.
Another "big" team. Another big match. Stoke visit the Emirates for the 100th game at the
stadium. It'll also mark the 500th league game in charge for Le Boss and 250th appearance for Cesc
in Arsenal colors. Small details that tend to come and go in a fast paced world of short term
results and instant judgments.
The Argentines have too much skill and belief-in-self. The South American power will advance to the
knockout rounds. Nigeria and Greece, well also South Korea? 2nd place will be an interesting
fight.
Advance - Argentina and Nigeria
Yes, you read right, West Ham would be 8th in the Premier League if all matches played this season
ended at halftime. Here is the how and the why:
So you see, West Ham United is sitting pretty at 8th position from the Premier League Half-time
League. Safe from relegation, West Ham would have had five wins, five draws and five losses if
matches ended at halftime.
Olympiakos 1 (Leonardo 47) Arsenal 0
(Champions League)
Going into the match, I honestly feared for the kids. I know they're talented, I know they
aren't fazed, but Olympiakos are a very decent side, especially at home, and some of these guys
were making their debut in any competition, let alone Europe's top table.
Now some of you will disagree and point out the comprehensive 3-0 demolition of Spurs as our
best win. Another group will remind me of the 6-1 trashing of Everton at Goodison Park. And then a
few will could claim that winning at Fulham despite being outplayed was rather impressive. I
actually believe the result at Craven Cottage was our best result (note, not necessarily best
performance) until today.
I don't know what Wenger said at half time but it must have been some team talk because we were
woeful up until then. Although, perhaps to be a bit fairer, that should exclude the first ten
minutes when we looked the more composed side, going through the gears with ease but the through
ball to Torres giving him a one on one with Almunia and the Gerrard penalty shout against Gallas
seemed to give Liverpool belief and strengthen their resolve to win this extremely important clash
for both sides.
The belief seems to have gone from Liverpool at the moment – and it needs to come back
quickly.
In short, the players need to realise how good they are again.
Rafael Benitez won't find the answers to the current problems by looking for money in the January
transfer window or by taking any notice of anything the likes of Jurgen Klinsmann or Graeme Souness
say.
Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez believes the additional competition for Champions League places
this season will actually help his stuttering side.
The Reds are currently seventh, five points outside the top four, after a dismal run of only two
wins in their last nine Barclays Premier League matches.
This will be a quick one. You can point at the early missed chances, you can point at Mascherano's
red card and you can point at the slices of fortune in Portsmouth's goals: the truth is that
Liverpool were extremely poor.
What's more, there was absolutely no belief in them when Liverpool went behind.
Arsene Wenger said that these 4 lean years have been his best years at the club. What it translates
to, is his belief in the style of play and system that currently runs throughout the whole club
from the first teamers all the way to the Under'18s. More significantly, it also means that he
believes [.
Confidence and belief is in the gutter as Liverpool enter the Christmas period, but if previous
years are anything to go by, the next few weeks could actually turn out to be rather fruitful for
the club.
If there is one positive thing that has been a constant for Liverpool under Rafa Benitez, it is
performing well in the league over the Christmas period:
