Our move for Adem Ljajic fell through a few months ago with the club claiming they were no longer interested in signing him. With former Partizan team mate Zoran Tosic failing to break in to the United team and likely to be sold off in the summer, it seemed to be a reasonable explanation.

However, the player's agent suggested the reason for the deal collapsing was United's lack of funds.
