A year ago, Alejandro Bedoya was a college standout making the difficult choice of heading to
Europe to try and find success rather than staying in the United States and signing with MLS.
While other Americans have seen that decision not work out, Bedoya's first year in Europe has
been a successful one, with the evidence of that success coming in the form of a U.
Former Chicago Fire and Dallas Burn player Lubos Kubik is the latest addition to United States
National Team coach Bob Bradley's staff. Kubik was officially announced as an assistant on Tuesday,
in the run-up to Wednesday's friendly in Amsterdam. He was Peter Nowak's assistant coach for the
Beijing Olympics.
According to Steven Goff of the Washington Post and the most recent U.S. Soccer Federation tax
statement made available for public review, national team coach Bob Bradley earned
$499,025 between April 1, 2008, and March 31, 2009. He also received $23,898 from the USSF and
other organizations (not specified) for a total of $522,923.
