Yet another barrier is broken by an American soccer player in Europe. This time, its not signing
for a big club or playing in a Champions League final (which has yet to happen) but rather making
news for being seen around town with a beautiful girlfriend. That's right folks, in the tradition
of Lothar Mattheus, Francesco Totti, Gigi Buffon, and others, new Borussia Dortmund signing Neven
Subotic is getting ink on the society pages in Germany with his girlfriend Lisa Ryzih.

Word recently was that the great once great Ronaldinho was keen to go to Beijing as one of the
all-important over-age players in Brazil's Olympic soccer squad. Apparently Ronaldinho's recovered

A few weeks ago, we reported that Benny Feilhaber was on the auction block at Derby shortly before
he was named to the US Olympic squad. Now, it seems he may still have a place in the club's side,
but just barely. After his meteoric rise from Hamburg and the US national team to last summer's
transfer to Derby, Feilhaber seemed to be the next big thing.
