The U.S. men's national team will play its first match of 2010 on Saturday against Honduras in
Carson, California (9pm, Fox Soccer Channel/Telefutura), and while most of the team's top stars
won't be playing, the match is still an important one in terms of trying to figure out who are Bob
Bradley's best options to fill out the World Cup roster.

As the United States prepares to close up camp in preparation of Saturday's friendly with
Honduras, players have began to reflect upon their performance throughout the month.
After proving he can play in Sweden, rebro midfielder Alejandro Bedoya has earned a trip to the US
national team camp in Carson, California starting January 4th.
Mind you, these observations come after beers & watching the game without sound. I'm not going to
get into the obvious hoopla about the red card, I want to talk about what I saw in the US team.
- For the rest of the first half, there wasn't much to see. The US looked like pouting children
who didn't get their way.

A year ago, Alejandro Bedoya was a college standout making the difficult choice of heading to
Europe to try and find success rather than staying in the United States and signing with MLS.
While other Americans have seen that decision not work out, Bedoya's first year in Europe has
been a successful one, with the evidence of that success coming in the form of a U.
As the US national team begins its annual winter camp this January, one of the many players who
will be looking to make a solid international debut is Orebro midfielder, Alejandro Bedoya.

The U.S. men's national team will kick off the new year tonight looking for a win against a
familiar foe in Honduras at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California (9pm ET, FSC and
Telefutura).
While tonight's match won't have most of the U.S. team regulars, there are potential World Cup
spots up for grabs, so it should be interesting to see how the fringe players fare in one of their
last opportunities to impress head coach Bob Bradley.
