Alejandro Bedoya and Rangers will take on Arbroath in the Scottish FA Cup on Sunday.
It is no real surprise that the Scottish Premier League race already appears to be down to the
two usual suspects. How Rangers and Celtic have gotten to their current positions, though, is a
story in itself.

were early subs in the lackluster win.
With all three of Rangers' Americans starting against Inverness, it was the defender getting the

It's going to be a big, contentious weekend of footy, we can feel it.
Short on time or interest to catch all the action as it happens? Yeah, we can feel that too.
There is a solve, though, that we've never explored before.

It took 15 years, but finally another member of the U.S. men's national team has started a Serie
A match.
The man responsible for accomplishing that feat is Michael Bradley, who got the nod and went the
distance in Chievo Verona's surprising 1-0 win over Napoli on Wednesday.

We really don't have a great forum for bulletins here at TSG.
Anywho, according to the Glasgow Rangers official site and in an interview with Jurgen
Klinsmann, Carlos Bocanegra, Alejandro Bedoya and Maurice Edu will all be selected for the US
roster for the upcoming friendlies against Costa Rica and Belgium in September.
Fulham under Chris Coleman a few years ago was affectionately called Fulhamerica because of the
distinct American look to that squad. Now only Clint Dempsey is left from the days of Brian McBride
and Carlos Bocanegra.
It's Rangers who are now providing the welcome mat for Americans.
Carlos Bocanegra is set to make his Scottish Premier League debut while Aleyandro Bedoya looks to
replace the suspended Maurice Edu in the midfield in a weekend of Scottish Premier League action.
Will the baton ever be passed from Robbie Keane to Aiden McGeady?
Editor's Note: It was an odd, intermixing week for American and British Isle footie.
Midweek, the historic club Glasgow Rangers of the beleaguered Scottish Premiere League made
successful for two Americans, Alejandro Bedoya and Carlos Bocanegra.
With Alejandro Bedoya moving to Scotland, the focus in Sweden is Matt Pyzdrowski and ngelholms
continued march towards their second straight promotion.
STARTERSThe curse is over! Dallas has done it! It's the first MLS team to ever win a game in Mexico! Oh

Wednesday.
Bocanegra joins Rangers via transfer from St. Etientte, and could be in action as soon as
Thursday.
Lemme tell ya. This Carlos Bocanegra to Rangers move happened fast. And I mean lightning round
fast. This is a strange hour for Scots to close a deal and it makes me think they think they can
get 'Los registered before Thursday's Europa League trip to Maribor (fellow Wednesday mover
Alejandro Bedoya is not available for selection, by the way).
STARTERS
We received word late this afternoon that long time MLS star Jimmy Conrad will announce his
retirement on Thursday. He is currently at Chivas USA, but had his hay-day in San Jose and Kansas
City. Not to mention that he is one of the most entertaining of all players to ever grace the
league.

Alejandro Bedoya won't have to wait until next winter to finalize his move to Scottish champions
Glasgow Rangers after all.
The U.S. national team midfielder will be joining Rangers immediately after the club reached an
agreement with Swedish club Orebro on a transfer for Bedoya.
U.S. midfielder Alejandro Bedoya is on his way to Glasgow a bit earlier than expected after Rangers
and Orebro reached an agreement for an immediate transfer. Bedoya had signed a pre-contract with
Rangers that would have moved him to Scotland in January following the completion of his deal with
Orebro.
US midfielder Alejandro Bedoya will join Rangers this week after Orebro accepted an improved offer
from the Scottish champions.
Rangers bound Alejandro Bedoya and Orebro came out on top, while a trio of Yanks never saw the
field in weekend Swedish action.
After yesterday's developments with Alejandro Bedoya's work permit, it seems Rangers wasted no time
with that new attempt to gather him early that I promised. Local Örebro newspaper NA has been all
over this, and oddly, Rangers decided to come with a lowered bid. Naturally, ÖSK swatted it down
in disbelief.
